"Alright, alright! Let’s just say I’m doing charity!"

In fact, what Chu Feng valued most were the first three conditions. As for the thirty million US dollars, although tempting, it was still sothing he could forego.

"Well then, now that my compensation is secured, I won’t stay any longer!"

After gathering all the docunts, Chu Feng had just stood up to leave when Boris promptly pushed him back into his seat.

"Chu Feng, don’t go yet. Actually... there’s another matter where I need your assistance."

"Hmm? What’s up? Let hear it."

Seeing Boris’s conflicted expression, Chu Feng was a bit puzzled; this didn’t seem like the Boris he knew since becoming the police captain.

"Well... this is actually a personal favor I’m asking!"

"Boris, stop looking like it’s so hard to say. Given our relationship, there’s no need for that! Just tell what it is."

Observing Boris hesitating, Chu Feng grew impatient, wondering why he had suddenly started to beat around the bush.

"Okay, I’ll just co out with it."

"Actually, it’s about a friend of mine; she asked to find a reliable Exorcist. I thought about it, and the most reliable one I know is you, the First Exorcist in Arica."

"Hmm, that’s what I like to hear! Go on," Chu Feng said, leaning back in his chair with a pleased look, which made Boris give a wry smile and relax a bit.

"She has a daughter nad Jessica, who just finished police training and wants to join the police station where her father used to work."

"Hmm? Used to work? Is your friend single now?" Chu Feng looked Boris up and down, a curious gleam in his eye.

Boris, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed, slapped the table. "Enough, Chu Feng! That’s not important."

"Got it, no need to get so fired up, man! I totally trust you," Chu Feng said with a light chuckle.

Unsettled by Chu Feng’s final chuckle, Boris took a deep breath and finally cald down.

"Jessica’s father, Lauren, was a police sergeant in the Sanford Police Departnt. He tragically lost his life during an operation against a Cult. Since that operation, strange incidents have frequently occurred at the Sanford Police Station, so..."

"So your female friend ca to you, asking you to find an Exorcist to protect her daughter?"

"Exactly. And it would be even better if those strange incidents could be resolved!"

After hearing Boris’s story, Chu Feng nodded slightly. "Sounds fairly straightforward."

But then his tone changed. "However, you know my rates. Who’s going to foot the bill?"

At this, Boris looked troubled. "Could you make it a bit cheaper? If it’s too high, I might not be able to afford it anyti soon..."

Chu Feng looked nonchalantly at Boris’s face for a mont, then suddenly burst into laughter.

"Boris, I’m kidding! You’re my friend. I’ll sort out this little issue for you, no charge!"

"Damn it, you really scared there!" Boris glared at Chu Feng, who was still laughing, and slumped back into his chair, the tension leaving his body.

"By the way, where’s the Sanford Police Departnt? I happen to have so ti right now, so I can go help you sort this out first!"

"Uh... it’s in Sanford, Texas!"

"What? Texas! Captain Boris, are you kidding ? Your long-distance relationship practically spans the entire United States!" Chu Feng sprang to his feet, looking at Boris with an incredulous expression. "Besides, I’m not familiar with anyone at that police station. How am I supposed to perform an Exorcism there?"

"Chu Feng, you don’t have to worry about that. I went to school with the chief of the Sanford Police Departnt, and I’ll communicate with them in advance," Boris quickly stood up to reassure him, seeing Chu Feng looked ready to bail.

"That’s more like it." Finally hearing so good news, Chu Feng slowly sat back down.

"When you get there, go straight to the Sanford Police Departnt and look for their chief. I think they’ll be very happy to see you."

"I hope so! Boris, don’t forget to send your friend’s and the police chief’s contact information to my phone. Oh, and don’t forget the detailed address either—I’m off!"

"No problem, I’ll send it to you right away..."

Standing up, Chu Feng sighed, waved at Boris, then turned, opened the office door, and walked out.

It seems I’m destined for a life of constant work! I just got back, and now I have to go on a business trip again! Standing at the entrance to the police station, Chu Feng lanted to the sky.

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ...

Just then, Chu Feng’s phone began to vibrate.

He pulled out his phone, and a smile imdiately spread across his face when he saw the caller ID.

"Tatyana, we’re really on the sa wavelength! I was just about to call you!"

Chu Feng never thought he would spout such cheesy lines, but he felt a bit guilty towards Tatyana on the other end of the line. Ever since that day, Chu Feng, who had been dealing with a series of events, realized he hadn’t made a single call to her.

"Cut the crap. Didn’t you get back from Europe? Hurry up and get over here," Tatyana said with a playful pout from the other end of the phone before hanging up.

"Uh..." Chu Feng stared at the disconnected call on his phone, speechless for a mont. How many tis has this happened...

Right, the Exorcism Agency could actually let the Valente family buy in. That way, it could develop more smoothly in the early stages, and it would also be a little payback for Tatyana, who has helped so many tis.

In fact, upon reflection, Chu Feng realized that just having a controlling interest in the agency was enough for him. After all, this fledgling agency currently relied entirely on Chu Feng’s abilities and the resources provided by the system. Without Chu Feng, the Exorcism Agency would definitely collapse imdiately. The early involvent of the Valente family could help avoid a lot of shady dealings. If possible, Chu Feng even wanted to bring in Mr. Mancini, the wealthiest man in New York.

Forget it, no more overthinking. Tatyana is waiting for ! It’s a good opportunity to talk to her about the agency investnt.

Feeling inexplicably enlivened, Chu Feng imdiately turned and headed for the parking lot. He jumped into his Jeep and sped towards Valente Manor.

...

The next day at noon, Chu Feng awoke leisurely on the soft, fragrant, large bed in a second-floor bedroom of Valente Manor.

He glanced at the wall clock and was instantly shocked by the ti.

He quickly got up, washed, and hastily kissed a still-limp Tatyana goodbye before rushing downstairs, getting into his car, and driving to the airport.

anwhile, in Sanford, Texas, Boris’s female friend had just finished tidying up her ho and was preparing to go to the airport soon to welco the Exorcist arriving from afar.
