After whispering a few words into the communicator by her ear, Jennifer imdiately ran out of the building.
The next second, the sound of hurried footsteps resonated throughout the building.
Pietro watched as one Exorcist after another, their faces stern, swept past him and headed straight outside.
"Xie Te!"
Standing on the rooftop, Monte felt for the first ti that the wind was surprisingly strong.
It was strong enough to make him, standing at the edge of the roof, feel unsteady.
Peering down at the scene below, he felt his heart pound wildly.
Although he wasn't afraid of heights, the thought of jumping from this altitude definitely tested his psychological limits.
At that mont, he desperately wished everything happening today was just a nightmare.
"Fuck! I should never have agreed to this trip!"
Monte, his legs trembling, cursed aloud, trying to alleviate the fear in his heart.

After his awkward greeting, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Are you alright, Monte?"
"I'm fine," Monte replied, standing up with Pietro's help, imnsely relieved. "A bit shaken, but at least I've finished this damned ga!"
"Right!" Monte suddenly rembered sothing and quickly looked around. "Where's Camille? According to the order, it's her turn next!"
"Camille!"
Hearing this, Pietro's expression changed drastically. Without looking back, he dashed into the building.
"Congratulations on surviving the first round of the ga," Jennifer said to Monte in a subdued tone. She seed to have appeared out of nowhere.
"The first round?" Monte stiffened. "I've completed it. Isn't it over yet?"
"Want it to end?" Jennifer shook her head. "Not unless you're dead! Otherwise, it will keep cycling..."
"Keep... cycling..."
Monte stood there, stunned, unable to process it for a long ti.
Doesn't that an if this ga never ends, we'll be tornted by it until we die?
"Fu...ck..."
He uttered a trembling curse, then collapsed, clutching his head and crouching on the ground.
That single jump had nearly drained all his courage.
He couldn't imagine taking that step again if he had to.
"Let's go back."
Seeing his breakdown, Jennifer waved her hand dismissively and led the Exorcism Agency mbers away.
The man needed so quiet space.
「Later」
"Michelle, do you think this could be a prank?" Lilia asked, having just hung up the phone. She looked questioningly at her best friend, who was lounging on the sofa wearing a face mask.
"The voice and tone sounded pretty real," Michelle said, shrugging from the sofa, "but he actually said Legley is dead?!"
"You saw how she was when she left with that hunk last night, didn't you? I'd rather believe she's still in bed 'fighting' with that man..."
