"Wait, what is this?"

In the makeshift photography studio in the office building, Chu Feng looked surprised as the makeup artist handed him the bizarre costu.

It was an exquisite black robe engraved with mysterious patterns, a round, pointed hat, and an ancient, delicate Magic Wand!

"So, this promotional shoot requires to cosplay as a Magician?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the makeup artist as he took the costu.

"No, no, no, to be precise, this is just one of them..."

As she spoke, the makeup artist casually pulled over a clothes rack, which was hung with over ten different costus of all kinds.

The styles of the costus varied greatly, sure to satisfy most people's tastes.

"You're not going to tell I have to shoot in all these costus, are you?" Chu Feng asked, pointing at the clothes with an unhappy look on his face as he turned to the photographer.

"Yes," the photographer confird. "According to Miss Lin Qiu and Miss Taran's requirents, we need to present all your different styles in our firm's promotional campaign."

"Promoting the firm is a good idea, but... aren't these a bit too much?"

"Don't worry, Mr. Chu Feng, I'm very fast! It won't take long to shoot these photos!"

The male photographer nearby, who had flowing long hair, showed a very confident expression.

"Well... alright then! It's all for the developnt of the firm."

After hesitating for a mont, Chu Feng eventually agreed to the photoshoot plan.

"That's the spirit! Co on, put this on!" The photographer, fearing Chu Feng might back out, didn't hesitate and handed him the black robe directly.

After Chu Feng changed, the nightmare began!

"Mr. Chu Feng, please raise that Magic Wand!"

"Yes, just like that... and your expression, make it deeper... ah... a bit deeper still..."

CLICK. CLICK.

Throughout the entire afternoon, Chu Feng was constantly changing clothes, applying makeup, and striking poses in the studio.

It wasn't until nine at night that Chu Feng finally collapsed onto his soft, large bed.

Although his body felt no weariness, for so reason he couldn't understand, he now just wanted to lie in bed and get a good night's sleep.

Damn it, I'm never doing this again...

「The next day.」

In the second-floor office of the firm, Taran was holding a docunt and explaining sothing to Chu Feng.

"Chu Feng, this client is Councilman Karl from the New York City Council. He used to be a well-known attorney in Manhattan," she said.

Chu Feng was slightly startled by Taran's words. He slowly tapped his fingers on the desktop, looking thoughtful. "A city council mber?"

"That's right! To be precise, his daughter's family is the one in trouble. Her entire family of four has been killed by a Bizarre."

"That vicious?" Chu Feng looked up at Taran in surprise.

Generally speaking, Bizarres do not kill so quickly.

They always like to slowly tornt a human's Spirit, waiting until the victim completely breaks down in despair before finally killing them.

So, usually, as long as soone in the family doesn't foolishly court death, one or two will survive to report what happened.

"This Bizarre is indeed very strong. I previously led a team of Exorcists there, but that Bizarre was too powerful. If we hadn't been thoroughly prepared, you might not have seen again when you returned..."

Taran's expression was very serious. A trace of lingering fear in her eyes showed that the situation had indeed been perilous.

After listening to Taran's introduction, Chu Feng's eyes lit up; he actually found himself sowhat interested in that Bizarre.

"Interesting! Alright, then let et this Bizarre you're talking about!"

"Councilman Karl is downstairs," Taran hurriedly reminded him as Chu Feng stood up to leave. "He heard you returned yesterday and rushed over first thing this morning!"

"Oh?" Hearing this, Chu Feng looked at Taran with surprise, then nodded sympathetically. "Alright, I'll go down and et him then."

In the first-floor reception room, an old man, his face wizened and his white hair thinning, sat exhaustedly on a sofa, his expression haggard. He occasionally glanced up at the entrance of the room.

"Mr. Karl, please don't worry. Mr. Chu Feng will be down shortly!" Debbie, whom Chu Feng had t at the front door the day before, stood by the old man's side, calming his anxious mood.

Just then, the lock of the room's door made a soft CLICK as it was unlocked from the outside.

"Mr. Chu Feng!"

Hearing Debbie's excited call, Chu Feng, who had just entered, smiled and nodded at her.

"Mr. Chu Feng, I've finally managed to see you now that you're back from Portland!" The old man was very emotional, rushing forward to grab Chu Feng's hands.

Clearly, he had forgotten his status as a city councilman. He was simply a father, one who had just lost his daughter and was overwheld by grief.

"My condolences, Mr. Karl. I will certainly avenge your daughter," Chu Feng replied, gently taking Mr. Karl's hands and guiding him back to the sofa in the reception room.

"Thank you, Mr. Chu Feng. I believe you're the only one in all of Arica who can kill it... kill that damned Bizarre."

"Rest assured, I'll deal with it for you today."

With that, Chu Feng nodded to Debbie and turned to leave the reception room.

Now that he had t the client, it was ti to proceed with the task.

"Mr. Chu Feng!"

Just as he reached the doorway, the old man's trembling voice called out from behind him.

"Hmm?" Chu Feng turned. The old man's expression was suddenly very serious.

"Thank you so much for your help!"

Chu Feng didn't speak, rely smiling and nodding before walking out the reception room door.

「Northern New York, near Bear Mountain—a small, private farm.」

Chu Feng and Taran took the firm's company car and, after a drive of over an hour, finally arrived at their destination.

Spring had arrived. Trees and green grass in the fields were sprouting new shoots. As far as the eye could see, it was a beautiful pastoral scene.

"The air is so fresh, and the surroundings are lovely!" Chu Feng's mood inexplicably lightened after surveying the area.

"Indeed. If it weren't for that Bizarre, it would be perfect!" After getting out of the car, Taran took an exquisite box directly from the trunk.

Opening it, she took out a small, square black box, no larger than her palm.

"Here, let help you put this on," Taran said, approaching Chu Feng with the small black box.

"What's this?"

"This is a special recorder from our firm for docunting the Exorcism process," Taran explained, giving the small black box a little wave in front of Chu Feng. "It's engraved with a protective Formation to prevent interference from a Bizarre's strength."

"Ah, good item!" Chu Feng nodded and let her hang the box on his chest.

"Okay, you can head out now!" Taran instructed. "The Bizarre should be in that residential house over there. The red building with the pointed roof next to it is the farm's barn."

Chu Feng saw figures moving near the red barn and a car parked there. He asked in surprise, "Hold on, are there still people living on this farm?"
