Chapter 249: Untitled
The white cat did not move as it continued to stare at him. It was in a rather sorry state given how wet its little head was.
Feng Nai lifted a brow and then lowered himself into a half-squat. His slender fingers were just about to touch the white cat when sothing seed to shelter the top of his head.
Pit-pat.
Rain landed on the transparent umbrella.
Feng Nai turned his face, his eyes lifting and following the handle of the umbrella before landing on the other person’s porcelain-white jaw.
Mo Bei held the umbrella in one hand while the other hand was in her pocket. She did not speak. Her eyes were slightly lowered while she was looking at the other person and the cat, her face refined and aloof.
This was like a scene that would only appear in comics.
After all, based on their outer appearance and auras, it was extrely difficult to overlook the two of them, especially Mo Bei. When she stood there, it seed as if even the rain behind her could be blurred out.
Her aloof nobleness while holding the umbrella made her even more similar to a young master from old tis who was dressed in white, as if she was a misfit in this world.
However, because of the person and cat by her feet, she did not seem very approachable.
So girls who were being picked up by their boyfriends could not help but want to turn back for a few more glances when they caught sight of this.
“It’s raining, let’s hurry up. What are you looking at?”
“The profile of the little brother holding the umbrella is so handso… The one squatting down and playing with the cat is handso too!”
“Hey, your husband is here. Is it appropriate for you to say that?”
“So handso, so handso!”
Handso? They were all there to pick up their girlfriends, while that young man was there to pick up a guy… Was this logic correct?
Young Master Feng, who had enjoyed the girlfriend treatnt, stood up with both hands stuffed in his pockets.
He beca much taller all at once.
While looking at the umbrella, he teased Mo Bei. “Little Brother, are you growing a sapling? That position is nice when it cos to sheltering a sapling.”
Mo Bei took a look. Because of the height issue, the umbrella was just above his head.
However, she had experience after all.
When the resentnt level of feline animals was high, one simply did what one ought to do, regardless of what anyone said.
“Let’s go upstairs. We’ll go back to the base together after the rain has stopped.” Mo Bei’s voice was very quiet.
Feng Nai was nonchalant. “You looked so fed up earlier, yet now you’re asking to go upstairs again?”
“Fed up? When?” Mo Bei’s brows crinkled slightly.
Feng Nai did not speak. He just looked away and continued waiting for a cab.
Upon seeing that, Mo Bei said coolly, “I’m thinking of making bone broth for a chicken stew. I can’t finish it alone. Stay and leave after dinner, Captain. You would be helping share so of the food.”
Feng Nai looked over and his thin lips seed to curl for a mont. “Is this considered a peace offering, Little Brother?”
“Mm… Yes.” The more Mo Bei got to know him, the more she realized this person had really had feelings for her in the ga. Moreover, at the ti, he had totally been guiding her. Many tis, one ought to pay back what one owed.
Feng Nai truly smiled this ti. His slender fingers lazily lifted the side of the umbrella. “I’ve never had bone broth chicken stew. How is it made?”
“Add bone broth into a clay pot with chopped garlic and ginger to remove the sll. Use half a chicken as a base and then add wolfberries later on,” Mo Bei said with an unchanged expression while holding the umbrella. “Stew on a small fire.”
“Oh? Sounds pretty good.” Feng Nai, who actually did not understand the cooking thod, took a glance at the white cat by his feet.
What he ant was sothing like, “Co along.”
Mo Bei did not understand the miraculous communication between feline animals.
It was a rainy day.
The aloof, elegant little brother held the umbrella for a handso, languid youth.
Behind their feet, a cat was following them.
The people who saw them were all quite puzzled. Why did these two guys have to share an umbrella?
