When A-Xuan arrived ho he took a shower and ate while Yang Jian was showering. He lay on the bed waiting for him. He was tired but he couldn’t fall asleep without his husband holding him.
When Yang Jian walked to the bed he saw A-Xuan trying to resist sleep while waiting for him. How can he be so adorable? He got into the bed and pulled him in his embrace.
He asked:
"Are you okay?"
A-Xuan looked up at him asking:
"Are you? You seem preoccupied with sothing."
Yang Jian looked into his green eyes. He pictured the silhouette from his dream and A-Xuan until they blurred into one. If he’s the one then I need to tell him the truth or it’ll be worst if he finds out the truth on his own. He also needs answers.
He asked:
"Do you hate for trying to ki..."
Yang Jian couldn’t finish his sentence.
A-Xuan looked as pain flashed through Yang Jian’s eyes and felt heartbroken. He caressed his cheek saying:
"I don’t hate you."
Yang Jian looked at him with shiny eyes.
"You don’t?"
"No I don’t and just so you know I didn’t sleep with your pet. It was father and sister’s plan so you would co to the house and fall for her at first sight."
A-Xuan’s words were laced with disdain.
Just saying it disgusts him because that’s what happened in the OG tiline. Yang Jian smiled and said:
"But I didn’t fall for her."
"I know."
Yang Jian’s smile faded and he asked nervously:
"Do you wish your father didn’t force you to co here?"
A-Xuan stopped caressing his cheek and declared:
"My father can’t make do sothing I don’t want to "
A-Xuan kissed him and pulled back gazing into his eyes.
Yang Jian felt his heartbeat quicken and he felt happier than he had in a long ti. With the excitent he blurted out:
"I love you."
When he realized what he said he looked at A-Xuan stunned and worried. A-Xuan laughed at this sight. He saw all the terrible things he had to do to get where he is and he was never scared. But for the first he was.
Yang Jian looked down sad. He thinks loving him is funny. A-Xuan lifted his head and said earnestly:
"I love you too."
Yang Jian’s heartbeat was all he could hear. He took a breath calming himself and asked to make sure he didn’t dream what he heard. He asked:
"You’re in love with ?"
A-Xuan smiled at his silly husband:
"I am my love"
Yang Jian’s eyes moistened and A-Xuan felt like his heart was about to break. Now he understands how his husband feels when he would see him cry. He really wishes that in the next world his husband won’t have such a rough childhood.
Even when he was younger he was never treated as a kid. His father didn’t believe in communication only in fists. Every ti he failed he would end up with a black eye or broken ribs.
His brother instead of being there for him ran away when things beca even more difficult. He never had anyone he could truly count on.
A-Xuan asked curiously:
"If you knew what your n had planned for why didn’t you stop them?"
Yang Jian blinked and tears fell on his face. He said nervously:
"I knew you could take care of them but I still felt guilty when I saw your face. I’m sorry I drove as fast as I could but I couldn’t get through the doors before the driver slapped you."
A-Xuan wiped his tears and said:
"I don’t bla you or hold any resentnt that’s why I asked. I know you’ll feel guilty and I don’t want you to. Plus I know what I said before I left played a part."
Yang Jian swore’
"I promise I’ll never let sothing like that happen ever again. I’ll always protect you and I always keep my promise."
A-Xuan smiled and said:
"I know my love."
Yang Jian took a breath of relief and held onto him tighter. After a few minutes, he heard A-Xuan’s breathing regulate. He turned off the light, kiss his forehead, and fell asleep.
When A-Xuan woke up his husband was still lying next to him. He sat up after waking him:
"You’re not going to work?"
Yang Jian lay on his side and looked at him.
"No."
"I need your help."
A-Xuan rifled through the drawer and handed him a file. Yang Jian sat up and read the file. When he was done he looked at him surprised. A-Xuan said:
"I know you’re the authority in B country."
"So you want to make all his cris go away?"
With the way, A-Xuan looked at him after his question Yang Jian felt like the biggest fool in the world. A-Xuan laughed when he saw his cheeks reddening.
"I want him to die in prison."
Yang Jian coughed and said unsure:
"Even if you’re a master manipulator he’s still your father."
A-Xuan gave a cunning smile after saying:
"Where do you think I got that from?"
Yang Jian smiled and closed the file:
"I’ll have him arrested by tonight."
"No in a week. I need him to see sothing first."
"Ok."
A-Xuan looked at him seriously and said:
"I need to talk to you about sothing."
Despite knowing his husband for five lives he doesn’t how he’ll react when he finds out that his brother is behind his n’s murder attempt.
Yang Jian frowned worriedly. A-Xuan looked into his eyes and said:
"My father sent Yuwen Zhu to your brother so if one day he takes over your clan he would still have an in. She’s the one who told him about and how it would hurt you if I died. He’s been trying for a while to get the clan and he’s not going to stop even if he failed yesterday."
A-Xuan knew from the beginning that he was surveilling him but he didn’t care since it didn’t have any impact on him. But when he saw Yang Zan’s reaction to his escape he knew he was after him now but for different reasons.
From the mont he saw Yang Jian’s mory he wanted him dead but he can’t do anything if his husband can’t bear it. He’s still his twin brother after all.
He doesn’t want to break his heart if sothing happening to Yang Zan will impact him. Yang Jian caressed his cheek reassuringly.
He could tell that he is worried and it made him happy. He likes how much he cares for him.
"I know he’s been after the clan since he left. The only reason I didn’t deal with it is that I feel indifferent when it cos to him. But I’m done now that he decided to co after you. I’ll deal with him."
A-Xuan straddled him and asked cutely:
"Can I?"
Yang Jian smiled and asked:
"What are you up to?"
"He’s after but not for the sa reason anymore, so I want him to go from happiness to devastation before he dies."
Yang Jian pursed his lips and stared at him angrily.
"Do you not trust ?"
"Don’t play that card you know it has nothing to do with that."
A-Xuan laughed at being seen through so easily. He held his chin and explained:
"I want him to pay for what he did to you. Do you understand?"
Yang Jian smiled again and his eyes shone brightly.
"Okay."
A-Xuan got up and left for the bathroom pulling him.
After showering and giving a list of all the traitors in the clan to Yang Jian A-Xuan was driven to a coffee shop. He sat alone at the entrance looking outside.
Yang Zan looked at his face and wondered why he looked so sad. He got out of the car without thinking when he saw him trying to stop himself from crying.
He could see that he was followed by a lot of n who were sent by his brother. After giving orders to his guard he entered the coffee shop and reserved a private room.
He entered the room and sat waiting. After a few seconds, a man ca in escorting A-Xuan. He ordered:
"Sit."
A-Xuan stood at the entry and looked at the door being closed behind him. He sat far from Yang Zan and looked at him cautiously.
He laughed saying:
"Are you scared of ? You didn’t seem scared yesterday in front of those10 n."
A-Xuan answered surprised:
"That’s because those n had no background and no one would try to have killed if sothing happened to them."
Yang Zan laughed harder and asked:
"How can you be this smart when your father is such a moron?"
A-Xuan looked down smiling sadly.
"He’s not a moron or he wouldn’t have sent to Yang Jian."
Yang Zan stopped smiling and asked seriously:
"What do you an?"
