Capítulo 1333: Chapter 1299: Final Battle (Part 3)
The two were both wielding long spears, which in so sense made it a fair fight. But in certain aspects, it wasn’t a fair fight. In war, fairness or unfairness doesn’t really matter. The two of them lunged at each other directly. Yanzi was very confident in her skills, and naturally, Ye Chen wasn’t going to lose his confidence either. Their battle started off fiercely from the very beginning.
Their duel directly affected the morale of the entire team. Ye Chen continuously used his usual thug moves, grabbing chests or attacking the lower body, which made Yanzi extrely angry. Furious, she gritted her teeth and said, “Ye Chen, you bastard, you’re nothing but a son of a bitch!”
“Haha, when you can’t beat , all you can do is curse?” Ye Chen laughed heartily. He found his rogue tactics amusing, especially seeing Yanzi so incensed and enraged. It made Ye Chen even more excited. He chuckled and said, “If you have the guts, let’s continue fighting for another three hundred rounds, haha…”
Facing Ye Chen’s provocation, Yanzi almost felt an unprecedented humiliation. Resolutely, she said, “Ye Chen, I’m going to fight you to the death.”
Yanzi beca angry, and the consequences were severe, but Ye Chen didn’t care. As they say, God wants soone to perish, He must first make them mad. Yanzi was now mad, which ant her downfall was not far off. With this thought, Ye Chen felt no fear whatsoever.
Ye Chen decisively spurred his horse forward, raising his long spear and charging at Yanzi. Yanzi’s spear skills were indeed impressive. In mid-air, they exchanged several moves. Ye Chen didn’t suffer any losses, but neither did he gain any advantage. It seed that after getting enraged, a woman’s strength could indeed increase significantly.
“Ye Chen, go to hell!” Yanzi spotted an opening in Ye Chen’s defenses, thrusting her long spear towards him. Little did she know, this seemingly simple opening was intentionally left by Ye Chen. To his surprise, Yanzi, in her fury, was so easily tricked. Ye Chen’s lips curled into a slight smile.
When Yanzi saw the sneer at the corner of Ye Chen’s mouth, she imdiately realized she’d been duped. As she tried to retract her spear, she knew it was too late. Indeed, it was too late; Ye Chen had already caught hold of her spear with one hand, gripping it tightly. He grinned and said, “I can’t believe such an obvious trap fooled you. I’m truly disappointed in you!”
“Ye Chen, let go!” Yanzi gritted her teeth, her face flushed with effort. Ye Chen didn’t intend to let go at all. As Yanzi struggled, Ye Chen suddenly gave the spear a strong tug. Yanzi fell directly off the back of her Beast Ride, and Ye Chen decisively jumped down, performing a heroic rescue.
Ye Chen caught Yanzi as they descended from mid-air, locking eyes with Yanzi. A strange vibe emanated between their gazes. Yanzi stared at Ye Chen in astonishnt, while Ye Chen looked at her with a rather wicked expression. The two seed to intertwine in a bizarre manner.
“Bastard, let go!” Yanzi angrily cursed.
“Haha, now you’re my captive!” Ye Chen laughed heartily, holding Yanzi tightly in his arms, a wicked smile playing on his lips. “As long as I’ve caught you, it’s like having a noose around your necks!”
“Go to hell!” Yanzi instantly flew into a rage, her strength imnse. With a sudden outburst, Ye Chen decisively retreated, a wave of shock spreading in his heart. He hadn’t expected this woman’s strength to far surpass his own. A sense of worry imdiately flooded Ye Chen’s mind. There was a real possibility he might lose and return defeated today. But he absolutely couldn’t lose; if he did, the troops’ morale would hit rock bottom. He was the soul of the entire army, after all.
