“Alright!” Feng Zhixiao nodded. The two maneuvered to the rear of the Church Guards, approaching Da Xia. It was impossible for Da Xia to contend with the adversary alone. The Church Guards were strong; Da Xia fought while retreating alone. Only with Ye Chen’s arrival did Da Xia get a mont of relief. He exhaled deeply and said, “Brother Chen, if you had co any later, I fear I wouldn’t have held out. These bastards are strong, and their firepower is intense!”
“Shoot them!” Ye Chen raised his assault rifle, firing at them madly. A burst of frantic shooting montarily subdued the adversaries. Ye Chen quickly shouted, “Kill them all!”
Ye Chen leapt out from behind the pillar, launching a fierce attack on the enemy. At this point, Da Hei and the others erged from hiding, catching the Church’s n in a pincer attack. Their ranks scattered in chaos, and under the furious assault of Ye Chen and his team, they soon all fell.
“Done!” Feng Zhixiao clapped his hands on his assault rifle, grinning, “Aweso, all taken care of!”
“Clear the scene!” Ye Chen waved.
Then, Da Hei and the others imdiately began to search the area, clearing out those pretending to be dead and those not completely dead. As for those deceased, each was given an extra shot, preventing them from surviving. After the search, two captives were found alive, along with five injured but not dead Church Guards.
“Confiscate their guns, and have two brothers watch them on-site, don’t let them escape!” Ye Chen instructed.
“Yes!” Da Hei nodded swiftly, dispatching several little brothers to guard these guys, then continued supporting Jimmy and the others.
Jimmy and the others were engaged in a gunfight with the enemy at the hallway entrance; both sides played it cautiously. As Jimmy led the Seal Team preparing to charge, suddenly, a wave of people surged up from the stairwell, but the hidden twenty-so Church Guards were quickly taken down by Ye Chen and Jimmy’s n. In any battlefield, once caught in a pincer attack, defeat is inevitable and miserable.
This ti, the Church’s failure served as a painful lesson. Jimmy spat and said, “Ye Chen, I found a very interesting room here.”
“Why?” Ye Chen was puzzled.
“Because they seem to be protecting this room!” Jimmy said urgently, “If I were them, in such a situation, I’d definitely abandon this section, using the narrow passage behind as cover. But they didn’t, so I suspect there’s sothing in that room!”
“Xiao Ruo, Xiao Ruo must be trapped inside!” Ye Chen suddenly realized, recalling the words of the captured Church Guard. Ye Chen hurriedly charged towards the room. The door was locked, and Ye Chen kicked it open with a powerful blow.
“You… What are you doing!” Li Ruo jumped up in fright. The gunfire outside had already terrified her, but when she saw it was Ye Chen entering, she was imdiately stunned and leapt from the bedside, shouting, “Ye Chen, why is it you!”
“Xiao Ruo, I scared you!” Ye Chen smiled warmly at Li Ruo and said, “I’m late.”
“No, no, as long as you’re here!” Li Ruo threw herself into Ye Chen’s arms, crying dramatically. Throughout her captivity, Li Ruo felt like she might be killed at any mont. She desperately hoped Ye Chen would suddenly appear before her. But reality was harsh; she waited endlessly without a trace of Ye Chen. During her confinent, Li Ruo’s mind was filled with chaotic thoughts. Why hadn’t Ye Chen co to rescue her? Was it because he hadn’t realized she was missing? Or hadn’t found her whereabouts?
Every morning she opened her eyes, hoping to see Ye Chen, with those caring eyes watching and comforting her. But night after night, she never saw Ye Chen, only woke up with cold tears streaming down her face.
“Xiao Ruo, I’m sorry you suffered!” Ye Chen hugged Li Ruo tightly and comforted her, “It’s all my fault!”
“Yes, it’s your fault!” Suddenly, Li Ruo seed to transform, crazily punching and kicking Ye Chen, cursing, “Why did you co so late? Why treat like this? You bastard, you don’t love ; if you did, how could you wait until now to save ? Do you know the pain I’ve endured, the grievances I’ve suffered?”
“There, don’t cry!” Ye Chen urgently consoled. Despite Li Ruo’s attack, Ye Chen remained motionless, continuing to tightly embrace her, soothing her pain away gently.
After a long while, Li Ruo’s anger subsided, returning to her usual temperant. Now, she resembled a gentle woman, nesting in Ye Chen’s arms, softly murmuring, “Ye Chen, thank you for rescuing again!”
“No, as long as you don’t bla , it’s fine!” Ye Chen sighed, “This ti, I was indeed negligent, letting you suffer so much.”
“It’s alright; as long as heaven lets us et again, lets us be together, that’s enough!” Li Ruo wiped her tears and said, “I’m already grateful.”
Nestled in Ye Chen’s embrace, Li Ruo fell into a deep sleep. Throughout her captivity, she hadn’t slept peacefully, often waking from nightmares within two hours. “Yes!” Feng Zhixiao nodded.
Jimmy and the others cleaned the battlefield outside; the shootout had caught the local governnt’s attention, leading police and CIA to arrive on scene. However, with Jimmy there, everything was handled, and police and CIA soon left.
The site was thoroughly cleaned, and Feng Zhixiao had the little brothers change into the opponents’ uniforms. Three captives were confined in a sealed room, while the other injured were sent to the hospital. Alas, only one survived; the rest succumbed.
Following Ye Chen’s orders, Feng Zhixiao began persuading the captives, hoping they would serve the Heavenly Reversal Gang. But, facing such brainwashed individuals, succeeding quickly was impossible.
“Damn, these guys are stubborn!” Feng Zhixiao raged, looking at Jimmy, asking, “Mr. Jimmy, any good strategies?”
“None!” Jimmy shook his head, laughed, “Against such people, enticing with benefits is best; if not, apply pressure!”
“Tried them all, no use!” Feng Zhixiao shook his head helplessly.
“Sort it out yourself; I need to check elsewhere!” Jimmy laughed.
“Hey, Mr. Jimmy, don’t leave!” Feng Zhixiao pleaded, “You’re an expert; if you can’t handle this, I surely can’t. You must help !”
A hint of scheming flashed in Feng Zhixiao’s eyes. His main goal was delaying Jimmy to buy ti for Ye Chen, who was downstairs moving valuables. Over ten large crates of precious antiques and wealth, once moved to Canada, would massively aid Sunset City’s growth.
“Da Hei, have the brothers hurry!” Ye Chen whispered.
“Understood, Brother Chen!” Da Hei nodded, joining the effort himself. Two little brothers moved each big crate outside; Heavenly Reversal Gang brought just over ten people, while there were over ten crates, requiring multiple trips. Da Hei, Li Tieniu, and others personally joined to load everything onto the truck outside.
With Da Hei and the others’ swift handling, fifteen large crates were all loaded onto the truck. Da Xia hurriedly asked, “Big brother, what next?”
“Da Xia, take two brothers and drive all night to deliver these to Sunset City!” Ye Chen seriously looked at Da Xia and said, “These are vital for the Heavenly Reversal Gang, so ensure their safe delivery to Sunset City!”
“But…” Da Xia hesitated, anxious, “Brother Chen, what about here if I leave?”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got this!” Ye Chen assured, “These things are more important than us both. You must understand that.”
“Yes!” Da Xia nodded and departed, swiftly transferring the truckload of fifteen crates, still with Feng Zhixiao clinging to Jimmy, who couldn’t arrange their surrender.
Just as Jimmy grew restless, Ye Chen entered with Da Hei and the others.
“Brother Chen, you’ve co!” Feng Zhixiao relaxed inwardly, with Ye Chen present, his mission was accomplished. He quickly said, “Jimmy failed at making them surrender, do you… have any good ideas?”
