“We have guns, what are you afraid of?” Da Hei grinned.
“We’re low on bullets, we must conserve them!” Ye Chen glanced at him and said, “Besides, firing here, aren’t you afraid of attracting the attention of Chen Pingsong and the others? If they surround us now, we’re in real trouble!”
“That makes sense!” Da Hei nodded, “No worries, I can handle it alone!”

The two, ard with a dagger and a military flashlight, headed into the depths of the forest. Once inside, they found a spot to hide. Soon, a herd of wild boars passed not far away. The sound of the dagger slicing through the air was followed by it embedding into the boar’s head, causing it to scream in pain and run wildly. The other boars, startled by the sudden noise, scattered quickly.
“Quick, chase the injured one!” Ye Chen imdiately sprang up.
“Got it!” Da Hei responded, quickly chasing the wild boar. Though the boar had taken a blow, it continued to run swiftly. Ye Chen and Da Hei pursued it, one after the other.
The boar was about to disappear into the darkness when Ye Chen hastily turned on the flashlight, keeping track of the boar’s path. Soon, the boar’s strength waned. It was miraculous enough that it had run so far with a dagger in its head.
Finally, the wild boar collapsed before Ye Chen and Da Hei, its body convulsing until it stopped moving.
“Hehe, it must weigh two or three hundred pounds, right?” Da Hei grinned, as such a huge pig was enough to feed the brothers tonight.
“Wait!” Ye Chen imdiately stopped Da Hei, “Be careful, it might be playing dead.”
“No way! Given all the blood, it must be truly dead by now.” Da Hei grinned.
“No, this pig is very sly!” Ye Chen said coldly, “Watch out!”
The two approached cautiously. Da Hei intended to hold down its head while Ye Chen planned to pin its body. But as they approached, the heavy wild boar suddenly sprang up, charging at Da Hei. Da Hei shouted in surprise, “Damn! Playing dead?!”
In that mont, Da Hei gripped its tusks with both hands, lifting the two-to-three hundred pound boar outright, and then hurled it away forcefully.

Li Tieniu, seeing Ye Chen and Da Hei bringing back the wild boar, exclaid joyfully, “Oh my, we’re going to feast today!”
“Eat to your heart’s content today!” Da Hei laughed heartily.
Soon, everyone carried the boar into the cave. Feng Zhixiao quickly instructed them to boil water and prepare to remove its hide and innards. Inside the cave, flas crackled as a large pot of water boiled. Feng Zhixiao instructed the little brothers to pour the boiling water over the boar, and once it was completely soaked, others quickly shaved off the boar’s hair with daggers.
“Brothers, hang up the pig,” Feng Zhixiao laughed.
The hefty boar was hung up. A soldier, who had experience in slaughtering, volunteered to remove the boar’s innards. His skills were indeed impressive, gutting the boar in no ti and throwing its innards into a large pot.
“This pig has plenty of lean at!” the soldier grinned, “There’s enough lean at for everyone to enjoy!”
“Brothers, let’s dig in!” Feng Zhixiao called out.
Soon, they divided the pig into parts: two front legs, two hind legs, a large piece of back muscle, and a pig head. Feng Zhixiao cheerfully ran out and asked, “Brother Chen, should we roast or boil this pig? Roasting is tasty but heavy, while boiling can be too gay. What do you think?”
“Are you dumb? Why not half roast, half boil?” Ye Chen snapped.
“Oh, why didn’t I think of that?” Feng Zhixiao’s eyes lit up, and he ran back into the cave to instruct the soldiers to prepare two campfires, one for roasting and one for making soup. On such a cold night, a little hot soup could warm everyone up.
