620: The end arrives__1 620: The end arrives__1 Alix wanted to slap herself on the cheek for having been so foolish that she had not seen it.

The identity of the most notorious system host was quite simple to figure out if one looked at all the clues with a broader mind, willing to accept even the impossible.

The single reason why she had dismissed this individual as a suspect was because of age.

Genesis was none other than Suri, the teenage girl that was not physically threatening in any way.

In those big dorky glasses and the way she was soft spoken, acting like a scared cat all the ti and living in the city always because she was just so afraid of the real world, nobody had ever suspected her.

She was the perfect wolf in sheep’s clothing, disguised so perfectly that everyone adored her.

When Alix suspected the existence of another gar, she had looked into Suri because she was the one system host with a gaming system that everyone knew about.

The ga however was a mining one, not interesting and certainly not threatening.

“Fruit!

we had her and we let her go.” Alix cursed and blad herself for having missed the signs.

“I was a level three system at the ti so we missed it, you do not need to bla yourself.” The system elf reassured her while silently transferring the bla to itself.

It was overly confident all the ti, that’s why it had missed the signs.

It had also relied on the words of others about how Suri never left the hidden city, but that was not necessarily true.

She was a watcher on occasion, so she did leave the city once in a while for missions.

“Let’s go directly to the hidden city.” Alix gripped Caishen’s arm and said in a determined rushed voice.

“There is no ti, start the plan we put in place for this day.” “This day…” he whispered uncertainly.

Alix nodded firmly, “I know who Genesis is and i have locked down the hidden city.

The whole team should be getting alerts right now…” Before Alix could complete her words, the twins went dashing past them, running at a high speed.

They were not the only ones to leave the funeral prematurely, other system hosts that were on their side did the sa.

The sudden movent of so groups of people when the funeral was barely underway brought whispers on the lips of so of the guests.

The frowns and then sudden rush made them wonder even further about what was going on.

Alix and group anwhile arrived at their different cars and Caishen put her inside.

“Mo Sen, the kids, initiate plan C.” Caishen whirled around and shouted the urgent order.

Plan C was to send all of the children to the cloud house followed by a complete lock down of their house and implentation of all security asures to keep the children safe.

Caishen wasted no mont, he drove the car personally, heading to the nearest entrance to the hidden city.

As for Alix, she was already on phone with the captain and Mantis at the sa ti.

The captain was already in the city, Aang had teleported him there directly.

“How is the situation?” “A ss, as soon as your energy shields went up, the uprising started, professor J is dead, so analysts too, that group of invaders managed to get into the server room and they are trying to break the first barrier as we speak.

Outside, the entire city has been turned into a battleground, an army of robots, wolves, insects, even the bloody monkeys and other creatures have been released.” Alix could hear the sound of gun fire and explosions in the background of the phone call.

It sounded like a serious war had broken out in the hidden city.

She beca impatient, there was no mont to waste, if Suri found a way to escape, she would hide and rebuild.

She would probably change her identity as well, Alix did not think a teenage girl was the sa Genesis that had been operating for twenty years at least, the age and tiline did not match.

If she had to guess, maybe Genesis could replicate the abilities of other system hosts and sohow taken on the identity of a teenage girl to fool them all.

“No ti.” The blue elf said.

Suddenly, Alix felt her body being transported through space and within the blink of an eye, she was inside the hidden city.

It was the sa feeling she encountered every ti her conscience entered the virtual ga.

The system had already activated an energy shield around her so she was safe from the flying bullets which were coming from different directions.

She looked from left to right as her mind crystallized the fact that she was truly in the midst of a war__, on a battlefield.

The city looked nothing like it’s usual peaceful place.

Buildings had collapsed, smoke was dominant in the sky in so parts, flying cars and other vehicles were on fire and these winged robot creatures were descending on system hosts like locusts on a field of wheat.

Their tallic wings created a buzz which was stronger than any swarm of bees she had ever co across.

The system hosts were putting up a good fight but they had fallen into disarray because the robotic insects had strong legs, arms and lasers.

They also moved in groups, taking on the formation of small space ships, they were were agile and quick, flinging the system hosts into the air and attacking brutally.

Singular bullets were not the answer, they were not working as the robotic insects were hard to target individually.

She got an ice gun, ard it with an explosive device and pointed it up at the sky.

She fired in the direction where the swarm was coming from, the forest in the city.

“Move.” The system yelled in her mind.

As the ice started to spread, infecting the robotic insects and bringing them down, one by one, she leaped into action, heading in the direction of the forest.

All the attacks seed to be coming from that direction after all.

It was also where Genesis was hiding and coordinating an attack on the bureau system hosts from.

The pain she had felt in her stomach was already gone and this allowed her to concentrate on the battle, shooting down any robots she t along the way.

Back at the funeral, more and more people were leaving, even the president was suddenly called away.

More tongue wagging and whispering made the rounds.

“Have you heard, Tai Alix is in labor and that’s why everyone is leaving.” Zhang Lexian loudly shared a wrong theory that was uncalled for.

“What!

how can they leave this important funeral for sothing like that?

This is the richest family in the country, aren’t they afraid of provoking it?” “So disrespectful.” The Shen’s heard her words going around and they were even more displeased with Alix.

How could she disrupt the funeral of their great patriarch?

The president was the most important guest at the funeral, how could he leave for sothing silly like a woman giving birth?

“Mother, she is doing it deliberately.” Shen Biao whined.

Han Ce, Shen Biao’s husband smiled slyly, secretly and he leaned towards Shen Chuntao, his father-in-law.

“Father-in-law, if we delay the car from reaching the hospital, we can teach her a lesson without being detected.

It won’t kill her but it will make her suffer in pain for soti, maybe one or two of the children may not even make it.”
