The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system Chapter 419 - 419 How to rank up like a pro
419: How to rank up like a pro.
419: How to rank up like a pro.
[Welco to the world of the Broken rift] Alix played around with her hair as she read these words.
She was standing sowhere on a broken world.
Her feet were not on the ground, they were in the air and she was being pulled forward forces of energy that she couldn’t control.
The fourth world was not just unappealing aesthetically but confusing too.
It was like a world after war where everything had been blown apart and all of it was was floating in space.
Broken buildings, stones, tals, fragnts of different things were all being pulled in different directions.
In the space itself were cracks that seed to be made of thunder by the way they were sparkling and giving off energy.
“Activate gravity grounding pack.” the system told her.
She did as the system suggested and slowly, she stabilized.
“I hate this place already.” she said to herself, loudly.
It wasn’t just because of how it looked but also because it gave off an air of creepiness.
Alix had this feeling that she was being watched by sothing or soone and whatever it was, it had the power to oppress her.
The fourth world felt much more dangerous than the previous worlds.
She needed ti to explore where she was so she got a space ship which the system recomnded and activated all security asures just in case.
Feeling sowhat safe, she visited the gaming forum first to see what those who had arrived earlier had to say.
Soone had already updated vital information.
How to rank up like a pro.
She read the title of a long article that was explaining what the fourth world was all about.
She wasn’t the type of person to read long articles so she frowned even before she started reading.
“Let summarize this for you.” The system ca to her rescue.
“The Broken rift world is what remained of the planet Brozg after the explosion of their biggest energy labs.
As you can see, the entire planet was wiped out, leaving no possibility for normal life to survive.
The inhabitants of the planet were turned into monsters, energy monsters which you now have to hunt.
The monsters have energy cores in their heads which players must retrieve and deliver to the task halls.
The cores have ranks from rank one to eight.
On this world, there is only one known core which is beyond level eight.
It is the unknown core of the hidden boss.
Only the players that deliver the largest number of highest ranked cores will get a chance to face the final boss and of course win.
As for the rifts, that’s self explanatory.
It’s those black holes with the sparkling charges.
That’s where the monsters are hiding.” “Sounds easy enough.” Alix said slowly.
Even though it sounded like an easy ga, what made her frown were the comnts of other players that had long arrived.
[This place is a nightmare, i have been killed two tis already.] [Does anyone know how to fight these energy things in the dark?] [Is it true that the loot in this world gives you actual energy abilities in our real worlds?] [Fuck!!, fuck, fuck…..i hate this place.] [I am offering one million gold for an energy gun with freezing abilities.] The system elf realized that Alix still looked confused so it started using visual aids to explain the fourth world and it’s monsters.
“So, the energy monsters have special powers which you players don’t have.” The system told her.
“What kind?” she asked.
On the virtual screen, she saw a green humanoid creature shooting fire out of it’s hands.
“I have a dragon, i can do that.” she said.
“The dragon won’t work here.
This is fire from energy of a core, it’s a different kind of energy.
If i have to compare it to energy from your earth then i will use nuclear energy.
Or maybe radiation energy…” “Oh.” she said softly.
Her dragon flas were a lot more natural than sothing like radiation.
On the virtual screen an image of herself as she looked in the ga appeared and so did the green humanoid creature with long fingers.
Alix on the screen cut the head off of the humanoid creature then she retrieved a round crystal glowing like thing from it’s head.
“See, easy peasy.” the system claid.
“Now, thanks to that billion which you so generously allowed to…” She sneered and jumped in before the system could even finish with it’s ridiculous utterance.
“You stole my money again.” The blue elf wagged it’s finger and tsked.
“Let’s not make any accusations now host.
Don’t you want to hear what i spent the money on?” It pulled up the forum again and pointed to the comnt made by soone looking to buy the energy gun with freezing abilities.
“I acquired a hundred of these for you.
Do you know how much they are worth in your real world currency?” “I don’t think i want to know.” she answered.
She retrieved one of the freezing guns directly from her bag because the system always sent weapons there in case she needed them urgently.
It was a dium sized handgun, silver in color with a round wide mouth.
It’s design was adjustable, allowing for attachnts in case of long range freezing.
Because she had mastered all guns in existence, she disard it in ten seconds and ard it again.
“Activate intelligence.” she said.
The gun had a smart built in AI with a targeting system and it could lock onto multiple targets simultaneously.
“Freeze beam activated, target unidentified.” A soft chanical voice ca from the gun.
The system elf was very proud of itself for buying up all the freezing guns in the ga.
Now, Alix had the advantage in the ga over other players.
With this weapon, she was practically invicible as long as she didn’t engage in physical combat.
It had not made enough preparations for physical combat on this world.
This was because of that lock on the fourth world which prevented it from sneaking a peak days before it was opened.
“It allows for quick immobilization and complete ice encasent.
All you need to do is point it at your target and it’s ga over.” Alix put the gun down and she thought about that invisible oppressive feeling which she had encountered when she had just set foot on the fourth world.
The freezing guns were excellent but, it didn’t feel as if they would be enough when facing whatever it was that had been watching her.
It wasn’t the despicable elf, for sure.
The elf had never given her that creepy feeling.
She looked at her wrist and thought about the life saving bracelet.
Perhaps it was ti to reconsider it’s use in the ga.
“I am going to need a much stronger weapon, sothing that can freeze a whole world perhaps.” she told the system.
She got up from the chair and walked to one of the windows of the spaceship.
Looking outside at the empty chaotic world, she couldn’t shake off that feeling of being watched again.
Her hands felt a little cold and shaky.
She couldn’t decide if it was nerves or a side effect of holding the freezing gun for a while without any gloves or protection.
“What is it that worries you?” the system asked her.
“There is sothing out there, i can feel it.” she answered.
