390: Young Zhang, hated by grandpa Tai.

390: Young Zhang, hated by grandpa Tai.

“That’s it?” She asked them.

They were all looking at her strangely, with worry in their eyes.

It was such a small request, one that was good for her but grandma Tai had brought it up as if it was a very big deal.

“Hell yes.” she answered jubilantly.

She realized how she had frad her words as a result of montary excitent the mont they escaped her lips.

A little bit guilty, her eyes moved from side to side and she chuckled softly.

To save her from the obvious guilt she was attempting to cover up, everyone else just laughed or looked away, pretending that she had not said hell yes instead of fruit yes as she normally did.

“Wow, so you are capable of saying swear words after all.” Tai Fong mumbled.

Tai Ho Sun groaned and sighed in exhaustion.

Everybody was always on board except for Fong who was the idiot of the family.

To him, Tai Fong and Tai Jiaan had the sa ntal abilities.

Both had empty heads.

“Who cares, we have a wedding to plan.” Grandma Tai responded happily.

“This is so exciting.

I never thought that i would be planning a wedding for a female child in our family.” She was becoming extrely emotional, talking like she was on the verge of breaking down.

Grandpa Tai put an arm on her back, in a comforting move.

“My wife, have you forgotten that a priest in the temple told us many years ago that we would have a female child in our family because we are kind and generous.

You see now, we have a granddaughter and maybe we will even have great granddaughters.” Alix didn’t want to broaden the subject of children so she shrunk herself back in the chair as much as she could knowing fully well that it was impossible for her to hide.

Distraction, they need a distraction, she thought.

Maybe she needed to swear again and take them all by surprise.

“Technically, saying hell is not swearing.” The system elf finally made and appearance and inford Alix out of the blue.

“On another note, i have an update of the Lai Yanfang subject which is going to require so privacy and fast action.” Alix heard the system and she was certainly interested in what the system had to say but looking at the bridal album in auntie Mo’s hands and her almost glowing, overly excited eyes, she knew that she would not be escaping anyti soon.

The wedding album looked a little bit ancient.

The cover had a picture of a bride from 1950.

“Mother, how long have you had that thing?” “This wedding album, it’s a family heirloom.

I got it from my mom, and i am now going to use it for you.

You will use it for yourself and Ho Sun’s daughters….” Tai Ho Sun started coughing loudly.

The sound coming from his mouth was similar to that made by a dog when it was being choked by sothing.

“You are almost forty Ho Sun, that trick is not going to work anymore.

I signed you up for an elite dating service with madam Xinyi.” He was older than Alix and even she was married.

Auntie Mo was hopeful that after holding Alix’s second wedding, they could hold arrange Ho Sun’s marriage too.

Tai Fong felt sorry for Ho Sun imdiately.

In his mind, Tai Ho Sun’s fate had been sealed.

There was no saving his older cousin.

“Shit, madam Xinyi!

Older brother, you might as well buy rings and a couple’s blanket.

Nobody is assigned to madam Xinyi and remains single.

She has matchmaking magic that woman, that’s why they call her the marriage witch.” Tai Ho Sun smirked and he turned around, feeling the inkling to eat so of Alix’s crunchy chocolate ice cream.

He would not spend ti explaining himself or attempting to avert his mother’s goal.

However, just because he had been signed up for the dating service did not an he had to show up.

“There he goes, avoiding it as usual.” Auntie Mo uttered.

“I heard that he is already seeing soone but he is keeping it low key as the kids say these days.” Chairman Tai said.

“Really.” An excited auntie Mo responded.

Every eye turned to him, including Alix’s.

Tai Ho Sun’s dating life took brief attention away from the wedding they thought Alix should have.

Hers was a sealed deal but Tai Ho Sun’s was not.

Weddings were always accompanied by excitent in the Tai house because they renewed hope for a female child.

Grandpa Tai had gone so far as to promise a reward of one hundred million yuan to the first grandson that gave him a granddaughter.

It had been years, and nobody had claid the money.

In fact, it was now a faint mory to most of the n in the family.

What grandpa Tai didn’t know was that chairman Tai was waiting for the day when they received the official docunt in which Alix was nad Tai and then he would claim the money.

They all huddled around chairman Tai like a group of co- conspirators and listened to everything that chairman Tai had heard about Tai Ho Sun’s girlfriend.

Even when Baby run through the living room with Majesty hot on her heels, hissing furiously, they didn’t move an inch.

Soon after, Alix received a call from Caishen and she excused herself while answering it.

A shy smile was on her face as she left, making it obvious who she was going to speak to privately.

“She is really hopelessly in love.

It’s so good to see her happy and smiling like that.

This wedding is a good suggestion.” Auntie Mo said.

“Mmmm, i really dislike that young Zhang.” Grandpa Tai mumbled.

“Father, you are saying the opposite of what my wife has expressed.” Chairman Tai said.

“If she had grown up in our house, i would not allow her to marry until she is fifty.” Grandpa Tai declared.

Grandma Tai sneered at her husband.

She couldn’t help it because he was being sincere in what he said.

But it was too ridiculous.

At the age of fifty, Alix would be well beyond child bearing years.

Just because he wanted to keep his granddaughter around longer, he would really risk wronging her.

Grandpa Tai continued lanting pitifully in the anti, “Aaah, i really hate that young Zhang.

He stole my granddaughter from .

He is not satisfied with having her all to himself at ho but he has to call and distract her even when she is spending ti with her only grandfather.” “She is his wife and he t her before you did.” Tai Fong whispered absentmindedly.

Grandpa Tai shot his grandson a look of anger and Tai Fong jumped up.

While it was fun to poke the tiger every once in a while, touching its big razor sharp teeth was foolishness.

“Run.” Chairman Tai warned Tai Fong.

Tai Fong’s back had already turned by the ti his uncle warned him.

He had no intentions of staying back and being gobbled up by his angry grandfather.
