306: Cold everywhere.

306: Cold everywhere.

The one place Zhang Caishen never thought he would see his psychologist was in his personal bedroom, the place where he laid everything bare, ntal or physical and allowed himself to relax.

He had co ho early to et his wife only to et four boys and one psychologist.

Professor He was helping all the boys with their different howork when he found them.

She was supervising them like a teacher.

While Yuewei and the twins were neutral about it, Xiaobo had not looked so happy with her presence.

The minute the professor set her eyes on him, she had smiled liked a vulture eyeing her prey.

When he asked her to follow him to his office, she had insisted on first seeing his bedroom.

So that’s what he was doing right now, giving his psychologist a tour of his personal bedroom.

He watched in silence as professor He walked around the bed, looked into the bathroom, walked around their walk in closet, sniffed the flowers, looked at the balcony and even the waste bin.

When she was finished, she scribbled sothing in a notebook.

Just like Alix, Caishen frowned as he watched her fingers move over that notebook rapidly.

“Have you seen enough?” he asked, quite testy.

It had not been that good of a day and all he wanted to do was hug his wife, take a bath, and sleep in his bed.

The sooner she was gone, the better.

Professor He sniffed the air in the bedroom, drawing in the scent of lavender.

Then she closed her notebook and turned to him.

She walked towards him and said, “I am not here because i want to peek and riffle through your drawers Mr.

Zhang.

I am here because you told last ti that you are willing to take the steps necessary to aid your wife in her journey to get better.

We agreed that you would see occasionally.

“Not in my bedroom.” he muttered.

Professor smiled all knowingly and shook her head.

“On the contrary Mr.

Zhang, your bedroom says a lot about the state of affairs of your marriage.

It helps understand your wife better and see how comfortable she is within the relationship.” Caishen looked around their perfectly organized and neat bedroom.

He wondered what conclusions she had co to by looking around.

“What does our bedroom tell you?” he asked curiously.

Professor He pointed her pen to the bed and stated, “You sleep on the right side of the bed, don’t you?” Caishen nodded.

It was his preferred side of the bed.

“It’s easy to tell because the left side slls sweeter, like your wife spends more ti on that side.

Also, most of the plushies are more to the left than the center.” She smiled and said, “You don’t seem to be a plushie hugging man.” He nodded.

“My judgent from the bed alone is that you have accepted your wife but you are still holding back.

Maybe it’s because you have issues that you are working through or because you two don’t know each other well.” She sat down in one of the sofas in the room and asked, “How long have you two known each other?” He was surprised when she sat down as it was unexpected.

He had left the door open on purpose so that she could get the ssage that he wanted her out of their private bedroom as soon as possible.

“Not very long, a few months.” he answered neutrally.

Professor He nodded.

“I can tell.

You don’t mix any of your items together, not in the bathroom, bed or closet.

If i didn’t detect extra care for each other in so of the mannerisms between you both i would easily think that you were friendly roommates.” She also noted that Alix had avoided the question on how they t probably due this issue.

If they hadn’t known each other for long, then how did they get married so fast?

Caishen scoffed and said with certainty, “I can assure you that we are not roommates and there is nothing wrong with being friendly with your spouse.” “So you are intimate?” Professor He asked.

“Yes.” he replied honestly.

The professor tapped her pen against the notebook and looked around the bedroom.

There were no wedding pictures on the wall, no art, nothing.

It was cold everywhere, lacking a personal feminine touch that one would see if a wife was free to do as pleased in her house.

It made her think that there was a lack of intimacy between them.

There was more to intimacy than just sex and Mr.

Zhang needed so growth in that area.

Alix too, because it took two to make a marriage work, she thought.

“How did you feel when you first t your wife?” she turned to him and asked.

“Happy.” he replied.

Professor He raised her brows and smiled mysteriously.

“That’s a little difficult to believe considering the fact that she said sothing else.” “What?” he asked.

“Terrified.” Professor He told him honestly.

“Mr.

Zhang, in order for this to work, you need to be honest with .

Your wife told no lies but you are lying.” He folded his arms across his chest and replied coldly, “I thought you don’t push your client if they are not comfortable talking about things.” “Your wife is my main client, you may have hired but you made it clear.

I will do whatever it takes to see to it that her life improves by the ti our year together is exhausted.

If that ans pushing you out of your comfort zone, i will do so.

You can resist but i will keep trying.” she told him.

Caishen scoffed again and looked away from her.

Professor He was not fazed and she continued digging as if she was searching for gold.

“So, Mr.

Zhang.

How did you feel when you t your wife?” He turned back to her and said, “Relieved.” “Why is that?” she asked.

“Because she was a better wife for than anyone else.

I was also angry because her father had deceived .

I will not explain the details professor, move on.” he answered gruffly.

Professor He noted that neither one of them was using romantic words to describe their first encounter and she also quickly noted that they had t on the day of their wedding, going by what he had said.

She looked at Caishen and smiled.

These two were an interesting couple, a possible love story in the making that could be successful if they learned to communicate better, be more intimate in broad ways and beco more comfortable with each other.

“Are you through, professor?” he asked her.

Professor He shook her head.

She looked at the walls and the bed again.

“Not by a long short Mr.

Zhang.” “I an right now, tonight.” he specified.

She stood up and walked slowly so he pushed his wheelchair aside and made sure that she walk out before him.

When she reached the door, she turned around suddenly, coming to a stop that prompted him to stop as well.

“How do you feel about your wife now?

Don’t think, just say the first thing on your mind, now, right now, don’t think just say it.” She fired off rapidly with enthusiasm.

“Warm.” he blurted out.
