Chapter 1081: Chapter 1081: On the Brink of Death! The Fairy Cos to Save Them
Even the slightest incident during mountaineering might be a catastrophe.
What’s even scarier is when teammates cannot offer assistance and may abandon help when necessary.
Zhang Hong is one of the mbers of this mountaineering team.
Originally a computer science major at Imperial Capital University, in his third year now, his hobby is adventure mountaineering.
After much hesitation, Zhang Hong made the decision to request leave to climb Mount Everest, aiming to personally plant the national flag at the summit.
Among the group, there are two companions from the sa school, all sharing a common interest.
The school initially approved the leave, but sohow, soone leaked their real reason for taking leave. As a result, before they even reached the foot of the mountain, calls ca pouring in from professors and counselors at Imperial University, demanding they return to school imdiately!
No turning back when the bow is drawn!
They’ve reached the foot of the mountain. What sense does it make to turn back now?
Moreover, since they already had this goal, they used the prepared money to buy mountaineering equipnt and chose a clear and auspicious day to start this thrilling journey.
Then… he felt oxygen-deprived.
Dizziness, limb weakness, tinnitus, and blurred vision, along with so nausea.
It’s over.
Even if he doesn’t continue the climb, the position they’re in doesn’t allow for descent; descending could also an dying on the way down.
The companion beside him is evidently a bit anxious, instinctively reaching out to support Zhang Hong.
But such help is equivalent to a drop in the bucket.
Besides them, there are a few foreign friends in the climbing team.
The group was at a loss, eyes flickering with unease and decision, as a few stood up, seemingly about to abandon Zhang Hong.
They couldn’t help it; they couldn’t offer assistance.
Just a few steps taken, the weather at Mount Everest suddenly changed, a fierce wind starting to howl. Even though they wore mountaineering clothes, the cold felt like sharp knives cutting their faces, painfully.
Panic-stricken, the group scread.
Blizzard!
Any minor issue during mountaineering can be life-threatening.
Not to ntion a blizzard!
Today is supposed to be an auspicious day.
Soone shouted loudly, “Retreat.”
Weather changes rapidly in the snowy mountains, the sky suddenly turned dark, and the temperature began dropping.
The ten-mber team couldn’t suppress their panic anymore and began retreating to the communal camp.
It’s over, sothing went wrong.
Soone shouted, “Miss Agnes seems a bit disoriented.”
One teammate after another started having issues, even the calst ones couldn’t keep their composure.
As the temperature dropped, so started showing symptoms of hypothermia, unconsciously trying to strip off their clothes.
Zhang Hong wanted to cry but didn’t dare to; tears would freeze instantly.
In reality, before climbing, they had signed life and death agreents, accepting responsibility no matter life or death.
Before coming, hadn’t everyone thought about what would happen if they died here? Dying for the pursuit of dreams.
Yet, when facing the brink of death, Zhang Hong suddenly regretted his decision.
Perhaps he should have listened to the professors, teachers, and counselors at the ti and returned to Imperial University, graduate peacefully, and await a promising future.
Reality isn’t a fairy tale; there won’t be a Fairy coincidentally passing by to save them…
Zhang Hong and a few companions leaned together, their eyes gradually turning vacant. Suddenly, they felt sleepy and wanted to rest a bit, just sleep a little.
“Eyes open, if you sleep again, I won’t care for you all?”
