Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Who Will You Choose,

or Your Sister-in-law?_1

Half an hour later, the bodyguards arrived at Ning Fan’s doorstep, carrying Bao Hankang.

At that mont, Ning Fan was alone in a dedicated Alchemy Room, practicing alchemy. Lin Xiaoling opened the door and was startled by the sight of Bao Hankang’s withered and gaunt appearance.

"Who are you? Who are you looking for?" Lin Xiaoling asked with so trepidation, not recognizing Bao Hankang.

"I am the Patriarch of the Bao Family, Bao Hankang. I am looking for Ning Fan. Little sister, is your brother Ning Fan at ho? Please let

in to find him..." Bao Hankang forced a smile as he spoke.

"Bao Hankang? Are you the bad guy who ca to wreck the opening ceremony this morning?"

Lin Xiaoling was suddenly startled and with a ’bang,’ she closed the door.

Bao Hankang wanted to imdiately have the bodyguards break the door down and rush in.

But he imdiately thought of how Ning Fan had handled dozens of bodyguards by himself in the morning. Besides, he was here now to beg Ning Fan to cure his illness and save his life, how could he dare to resort to violence?

"Little sister, please open the door. I’m really not a bad person. I have a little matter for which I need to ask your brother..."

Bao Hankang pleaded incessantly from behind the door.

His deanor was akin to a wolf trying to coax a little girl to open the door.

"I won’t open the door, you bad guy!"

Lin Xiaoling braced herself tightly against the door with her back.

Bao Hankang yelled from outside for a long ti, but Lin Xiaoling refused to open the door again. Left with no choice, he could only ask the bodyguards to support him as they left.

"Mr. Bao, do we go back to the hospital now?" one of the bodyguards asked.

"Go back to the hospital to wait for death? Take

to Xu... Xu Yourong..." Bao Hankang said weakly.

The bodyguards quickly lifted Bao Hankang into the car and headed towards Xu Yourong’s hilltop mansion.

Soon after Bao Hankang left, Ning Fan ca out of the Alchemy Room. He handed over a thousand Rejuvenation Pills he had alchemized to Lin Xiaoling and asked, "Ling’er, who was knocking at the door just now?"

Lin Xiaoling said, "Brother, it was that bad guy Bao Hankang from this morning! He said he had sothing to discuss with you, but I didn’t let him in! Did I do the wrong thing?"

"No, Ling’er, you did the right thing! When dealing with bad people, there’s no need for politeness!"

Ning Fan nodded his head. With his hearing, he had heard the noise outside long ago.

He hadn’t co out for two reasons: first, he knew that Bao Hankang wouldn’t dare to harm Lin Xiaoling now; second, he wanted to train Lin Xiaoling a bit.

"Brother, that Bao Hankang looked so scary, just like a ghost, completely different from this morning. What exactly happened?" Lin Xiaoling asked.

Ning Fan patted Lin Xiaoling’s head and said, "Ling’er, don’t be afraid. Bao Hankang dared to use your safety to threaten

this morning. That’s the price he has to pay."

"Brother, so it was you who did it? No wonder he said he wanted to ask you for help... Brother, will you protect

forever?" Lin Xiaoling suddenly asked again.

"Of course, I will protect you for a lifeti." Ning Fan nodded firmly.

"But... If in the future... between

and sister-in-law, you can only protect one person, whom will you protect?" Lin Xiaoling asked, her eyes rolling.

Ning Fan knocked on Lin Xiaoling’s forehead, saying irritably, "You dare to test your brother? Do you believe that I can sort you out?"

"Humph, I need to sort you out too. I’ve already made plans with sister-in-law; we’ll join forces to oppress you! Hee hee!" Lin Xiaoling dodged and laughed mischievously.

"You two have tead up so quickly? Tell

honestly, what do you think of Miss Xu?" Ning Fan inquired.

"Uh... I think Miss Xu is a million tis better than that Pan Ting from before! Brother, if you decide to marry her, I, as your younger sister-in-law, will approve! Still, we should let mom know, right?" Lin Xiaoling said with satisfaction.

"Hmm, of course. But let’s wait a little longer, we’ll go to see mom with Miss Xu after a month," Ning Fan nodded, feeling a bit of longing and even more motivated.

The ’mom’ Lin Xiaoling had just ntioned was Ning Fan’s adoptive mother, Ding Hongxia, who was also Lin Xiaoling’s birth mother.

Ding Hongxia was not accustod to life in River City, so she had always lived in the county town where their old ho was located.

If Ning Fan wanted to take Xu Yourong to et Ding Hongxia, he would only do so after fulfilling his promise to Xu Yourong, entering the top ten of the Azure Cloud Rankings, and gaining the approval of Xu Yourong’s family...

Although Xu Yourong had never ntioned her family’s attitude to Ning Fan, Ning Fan was not a fool and understood that if he truly wanted to be with Xu Yourong, he must gain the approval of the Xu family mbers.

As for why Xu Yourong had never ntioned her family affairs to Ning Fan... Ning Fan knew it was because she didn’t want to put too much pressure on him!

"Miss Xu, rest assured, I will gain the approval of the Xu family," Ning Fan said to himself resolutely.

...

anwhile, at Xu Yourong’s mountain-top mansion, a mber of the Xu family, Xu Qingfeng, was arriving.

"Little sister Yourong, I have co to see you."

Xu Qingfeng stepped into the mountain-top mansion with a hearty laugh.

"Cousin Qingfeng? What brings you here?"

Xu Yourong, taken aback, hurried forward to et him.

"Uncle has sent

to oversee the Ghost Festival Boxing eting in three days..."

Xu Qingfeng paused, and then continued, "By the way, he also asked

to assess that Ning Fan."

"Assess Ning Fan?" Xu Yourong frowned.

Xu Qingfeng nodded and said, "Right, ask him to co over."
