Chapter 72: Chapter 72 Divine Tune Sect_1

"This is not a magic artifact, just... a token of promise,"

Ning Fan recalled that when Su Qingcheng gave him the jade ring, she had said it was left by her mother to prove the engagent between them.

"You damned brat, no matter what it is, since it’s an object that can suppress Evil Qi, hand it over to ,"

the Taoist sneered.

"You’ve lost all your Evil Qi to , and you’re still not running? You want to keep challenging ?" Ning Fan smiled and said.

"Heh, do you think I can only kill people with this Evil Qi? There are plenty of ways for

to kill you! Watch my fire talisman!"

With a fierce shout, the Taoist pulled out a yellow Talisman Paper and waved it in the air.

Whoosh!

The Talisman Paper instantly burst into flas.

Then, the Taoist pointed at Ning Fan.

The burning Talisman Paper turned into a fireball and shot towards Ning Fan.

Ning Fan instinctively dodged by tilting his head.

Swoosh!

The fireball whizzed past Ning Fan’s ear, hitting a tree behind him. With a ’bang,’ a hole as big as a bowl was burned into the tree!

Hiss!

Xu Yourong, Qiu Li, Li Wanshan, Xu Yan, and others simultaneously gasped in shock.

Such fire talisman magic was legendary and utterly terrifying!

"Hahaha! Kid, now that you’ve seen my fire talisman, are you scared? If you’re scared, hand over that ring on your finger, then kneel down and beg for rcy. I might just spare you,"

the Taoist said as he looked at Ning Fan with pride, laughing loudly.

"That’s what I should be saying to you. If you kneel and beg for rcy now, I just might spare you," Ning Fan said indifferently.

"Brat, since you’re courting death, don’t bla

for being rude. After I kill you, I’ll take that ring off your corpse just the sa!"

The Taoist sneered, with two yellow Talisman Papers appearing in his hands.

With a shake of his hands, the two Talisman Papers spontaneously ignited without any wind, and he pointed once more.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Two fire talismans shot towards Ning Fan.

"Kid! Let’s see how you dodge this ti!"

the Taoist said viciously.

With one in front and one behind, and one to the left and right, it appeared impossible for Ning Fan to avoid both!

"Who said I was going to dodge?" Ning Fan said coolly.

He extended his hands simultaneously, Spiritual Power evenly covering his palms, and he reached out towards both sides.

Bang! Bang!

Ning Fan incredibly caught the two fire talismans in his hands!

"Ning Fan!" Xu Yourong exclaid.

The others turned pale.

But Ning Fan firmly held the fire talismans in his hands as the flas burned, showing no sign of injury on his palms.

"You, you, how are your hands impervious to fire? How can this be?"

The Taoist’s eyes widened in shock.

He had no idea that with Spiritual Power covering Ning Fan’s palms, he had nothing to fear from the re fire talismans.

"Hmph, take your fire talismans back,"

Ning Fan said with a cold snicker, moving his palms.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

The two fire talismans shot back at an even faster speed than before, striking the Taoist fiercely.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The two talismans exploded into flas, suddenly growing in size and engulfing the Taoist completely in fire.

"Aaaaahhhhh!"

The Taoist let out a piercing scream as he fell to the ground and desperately rolled around, trying to extinguish the flas on his body.

He never would have imagined being hit by his own fire talismans.

"Cui Laosi!"

Yuan Haili cried out in alarm, quickly setting down the infant she held and rushing forward to help. With great difficulty, they finally extinguished the flas on the Taoist’s body, but he was badly burned and in a sorry state.

"Now, do you still want to kill

and take the ring from my hand?" Ning Fan said coldly.

"This young man, I am Cui Laosi and I’m not your match. I admit defeat today. We may go our separate ways now, but there might be a next ti," the Taoist said, his face showing defeat. He struggled to his feet, threw Ning Fan a fierce parting shot, and turned to leave.

His Evil Qi and fire talismans had failed against Ning Fan; naturally, he realized he was no match for Ning Fan.

"Leaving? You harbored the intent to kill

and yet you are not my match, and you think you can just walk away that easily?" Ning Fan said with a sneer.

"Kid, what do you want?" the self-proclaid Cui Laosi said with a frosty look.

"You attacked

with fire talismans; just cut off your own hands, and we’ll call it even. The rest will be up to Li Wanshan to decide," Ning Fan said calmly.

"Thank you, Mr. Ning! Thank you for your great kindness!" Li Wanshan imdiately thanked Ning Fan excitedly.

For him, Ning Fan’s allowing him to deal with the treacherous Cui Laosi was a profound favor!

"You damn kid, you want to break my hands? Do you have any idea who I am?" Cui Laosi said viciously.

"Who are you? I don’t care who you are; if you cross , you pay the price," Ning Fan said nonchalantly.

Cui Laosi angrily said, "Brat, let

tell you, I am from the Divine Tune Sect! If you let

go today, then fine; but if you attempt to detain , you will be making an enemy of the Divine Tune Sect!"

"What? The Divine Tune Sect?"

As soon as Cui Laosi spoke, Li Wanshan, who had been seething with thoughts of retribution, suddenly turned pale with fear.

"The Divine Tune Sect?"

Qiu Li also looked shocked and even slightly afraid.
