Chapter 58 : Thrilling Late-Night Activities

“Woof. Woof woof. Woof woof woof woof.”

The “dog” inside the room was barking.

It sounded very cheerful.

But Muen’s heart was ice-cold.

Why did this dog have so little fur?

Why were its hind legs so long, with everything below the backward-bending knees dragging on the ground?

Why did this dog have neither long pointed ears nor sharp canine teeth?

Why...

Did this dog

look so much like a person?

No.

No, that was not right.

What the hell, that was a person!

A completely naked man, crawling on the ground with a collar and leash around his neck!

The room was dim, and because of the angle, Muen could not make out the man’s face.

But the man was barking like a dog, and it was obvious that he was doing it very happily.

At the sight of this, Muen’s heart sank straight to the bottom and turned cold.

Good grief, could that dog-like man be the husband Eluca had been talking about?

He had never gone out on business at all. He had been kept in the room the whole ti by Eluca, like a pet dog?

No wonder she would not let him see.

Wait, if that was the case...

Then Eluca was a yandere too?

Muen shuddered.

Damn it, what kind of yandere-attracting physique did he have? Was one Ann not enough? Did he have to run into another one too?

“What do I do? What should I do? Should I save him?”

“But what if he’s willing? This fetish is seriously ssed up, but I don’t have the right to force other people to live a certain way.”

“If this is exactly what he likes, then if I suddenly barge in and ruin their fun, wouldn’t that be awkward?”

After all, that dog bark imitation sounded incredibly convincing.

It was so realistic that even Muen, a dog lover, had failed to tell it was fake.

That was not a level an ordinary person could reach.

He must have gone through serious study and grueling training!

“My dear, you seem to be a little naughty.”

Eluca was actually in the room as well.

She was crouching in front of the man, gently stroking his jaw with her fingers as though she were truly caressing a beloved pet dog.

“It seems the ti has been too short. There are still many things you haven’t properly gotten used to.”

“I need to make sure you rember even more clearly... my love for you.”

Eluca suddenly picked up a bag Muen found very familiar.

It was the very bag she had been carrying when he first t her.

From it, she took out, one by one, the “toys” she seed to have bought today.

A rich lady’s happy whip.

A rich lady’s happy ball.

A rich lady’s happy candle.

A rich lady’s happy...

Looking at that complete deluxe set of rich lady happiness items, the kind one would only ever see in so especially hardcore doujin, Muen could not help his eyelids twitching.

“Hiss... this is way too intense.”

Could people really go this far without sothing going seriously wrong?

Sighing inwardly, Muen quietly shut the door again while Eluca had not noticed him.

He would pretend he had seen nothing.

Sorry, brother, I can’t save you.

The two of you are playing way too wild. I’m scared.

Ti to go, ti to go.

“Thank goodness the old Ann didn’t know about these things. She was still relatively innocent. Otherwise, I’d really have been done for.”

With a lancholy sigh, Muen stood on tiptoe and prepared to return to his room as though nothing had happened.

“Grrk—”

But just then, his traitorous stomach let out another gurgle.

This ti it was not from hunger, but from bloating after eating too much.

“But can you stop making noise at monts like this every single ti? I’m starting to think you’re doing it on purpose!”

Muen furiously accused his stomach in his heart, then clamped a hand over his mouth and held his breath.

“Who’s there—”

Inside the room, Eluca let out a sharp, wary shout.

“Is soone outside?”

Eluca set down the “toys,” then signaled to the man on the floor to stay quiet.

Gripping her wand tightly, she slowly walked toward the door.

One step.

One step.

And another step.

“Mister Muen, is that you?”

Eluca called out tentatively.

There was no answer.

Her gaze darkened.

She seized the doorknob and pushed it down hard.

With an overstrained creak, the door swung open, and outside...

there was nothing.

The hallway was dark and quiet.

Only the wind chi by the entrance swayed in the breeze, tinkling softly.

“Did I hear wrong?”

Eluca looked left and right, frowning slightly.

After confirming there was no one outside, she prepared to return to the room.

Then suddenly, as if rembering sothing, she quickly walked to the opposite side of the hallway.

The guest room door.

Without the slightest hesitation, she opened it.

Creak.

As the door swung open, the cool breeze blowing in from the lakeside stirred a few strands of her hair.

The window directly opposite the door stood wide open, and the curtain billowed in the lake wind, swaying like a ghostly shadow.

And the bed at that mont was empty.

“Oh my, Mister Muen is really sothing. He left without even informing , his host?”

Eluca tucked her ssy hair behind her ear and walked into the guest room.

She looked around the room once, then silently moved to the wardrobe, the only place where soone could have hidden.

Through the crack in the wardrobe door, sothing could vaguely be seen moving.

“Could it be that you found my hospitality lacking and ca to dislike ?”

Eluca yanked open the wardrobe.

Inside...

it was empty as well.

“Leaving without saying goodbye really breaks my heart.”

She casually slapped to death the cockroach scurrying around inside the wardrobe, then looked around the room once more.

After confirming she had not missed a single corner, her eyes narrowed slightly.

Glancing at the underside of the bed, which had a clearance of only about a handspan, she still abruptly bent down and looked underneath.

Naturally, there was nothing there.

With that little space, let alone an adult, even a baby could not hide there.

“So he really did leave.”

Eluca walked to the window and gazed out over the silent village and the distant lake.

After confirming there was no disturbance at all, she reached out, shut the window, and drew the curtains.

“He left in such a hurry. So he really did see it?”

Eluca stepped out into the hallway, casually closed the guest room door behind her, and sighed softly. “What a pity. I had wanted to share... my love for him too. After all, he could already be considered a friend. Just like everyone else in the village, there would have been nothing wrong with sharing my love with him.”

“But since he wanted to leave, there’s nothing I can do. After all, I can’t force him.”

“But fortunately...”

Eluca turned her head and looked toward the door of a room.

It was the room at the very end of the hallway, the one Muen had accidentally overlooked.

“He didn’t discover what was in there.”

“Otherwise, I would only have been able to keep him here forever~”

“Hehe.”

...

“I love you.”

...

“Damn it, that almost scared to death.”

Outside the guest room window, just below the ledge, Muen was curled up with his body pressed tightly against the wall.

That was why, when Eluca had stood by the window and looked out, she had not seen Muen right beneath her nose.

“The yanderes in this world are way too terrifying...”

Every last one of them had apparently maxed out their danger senses.

If he had actually been the object of Eluca’s love, he probably would never have escaped her pursuit.

“Sorry, man. Good luck. Your wife is way too fierce, and there’s nothing I can do.”

After clasping his hands together in prayer for the man whose na he did not even know, Muen skillfully oiled the soles of his feet and fled.

Before long, he had disappeared into the night.

What he did not know was that not long after his departure, this village received a new visitor.
