Chapter 303: A Patreon Deity

Rein faced drash.

"Bahamut was everything to us, even though he considered fairness to all creation he never put anything before us"

"I’m not Bahamut" Reinard cut in. He walked closer to drash, "It’s not like you guys were in trouble or were dying, I don’t get why running to you should be the first thing I do upon becoming the Lord of the north sea" Rein said to his face.

"Baha–

"Shut up, Bahamut this, Bahamut that... my na is Reinard. Do you understand Reinard, and I’m the Lord of North sea, you accept that reality and submit to it, things get good and you serve. You don’t..." Rein looked around, "...well you’ve been doing quite well without a patron deity so I shouldn’t be bothered." He said and face Kuthuya.

"I need to leave here urgently, is your business here done?" Rein asked him.

"Yes your grace" Kuthuya responded to hurriedly.

"Isn’t High one so cool" Socho whispered to Miriel.

"Cool my foot" she said, scoffing.

"Don’t you dare insult my patron deity" Socho said

"Whatever" she responded.

Rein and the others prepared to leave. The war had co to a sudden stop with Kuthuya’s influence. Demascus quickly stood up and flew away, so did the other devas.

"Hey, drash are we really gonna let him go..." Eshuna said as he arrived behind drash. "...check the whole planes today, there are no deities that we can seek for help. There is a reason why the dragonborn race always need a patron deity, are we really going to let him go"

drash sighed.

~Thudd~

He fell on both knees.

"I apologize for my rudeness!!"

As the dragonborns saw drash, they also began to go on their knees. Sigrid was full of awe as all the dragonborns in Tytira bowed to Rein.

[You have beco the patron deity of all dragonborns]

[Your influence as a deity has increased]

[Your Dragon authority has reached 20.000%]

[You have unlocked two active Subclass skills]

Rein was not expecting it but he was amazed by his achievent.

’Two Subclass skills’ he thought to himself.

"I’m quite new to all this stuff so I don’t know what I should-"

[A new update has been made to the system]

[New Update includes roles and information of being a Patron deity]

"...never mind, I just figured it out" Rein smiled and looked around. He sighted a high stage where the vanquisher would often stand to address the city.

~Thuwak~

He took off heavily and landed on the tower.

He breathed in deeply.

[You have activated dragon authority]

[Your voice will resonate in the heart of all dragonborns]

"I have never been a Patron deity. Its my first ti. I can’t say much, I’ll be honest, but I can promise you one thing. As far as you are not my enemy, I’ll lay everything down to protect you and your Dignity."

Rein was not expecting much from his speech which he defined as half-assed.

In fact he had no idea it would create so much impart. The whole soldiers began to sink to their knees, the scen caused a whirling in Rein’s stomach.

Of course, he wasn’t estranged to being bowed to but this was on a much larger scale, with an even bigger army.

"Oh...."

He was cut short of words.

[Congratulations]

[You have beco the Patron deity of all dragonborns]

[You have gained a jurisdiction]

[You have gained a new system function]

[You have gained

100 stat points on all your stats]

’Wow... I definitely wasn’t expecting that...’

Rein said in his mind as he looked at the holographic ssage in front of him.

drash and Eshuna approached him and softly bowed their heads.

"You can head to where you need to be. Now that you are our patron we can always access you anyti. But first you must chose your apostles."

Eshuna said to him.

"Apostles?"

Reinard was a little bit surprised as he knew nothing about this before now, he knew the gods had this thing they called exarchs but the way it sounded made him feel it wasn’t the sa thing as having an exarch.

"Yes, great one. In your presence apostles will oversee the dragonborns and their activities and will be able to report to you regardless of the plane you are"

drash added.

"Fine, then I can just choose you and her."

Rein responded looking at both of them.

"Great one!"

Both of them exclaid.

They had expected that Rein was going to be more thorough with the matter, he was afterall a deity. But unbeknownst to them, Rein was a different breed than a lot of deities.

He had them shocked.

[Do you want to appoint Dragonborns ’Eshuna’ and ’drash’ as your apostles]

[Note: Your apostles shall share 1% of your authority]

’...hm, so that was it. Okay’

[Master, are you really?]

’Do it Ariel...’

[Okay]

[Appointing dragonborn ’Eshuna’ and ’drash’ as your apostles]

As Ariel announced, a faint glow glead around them. Both of them imdiately could tell.

Sothing was different, although from the vantage point of a natural viewer, nothing spectacular happened right now. But of them were certain.

"This surge of power that is within ..." drash said, looking at his palms as if the powers were in his hands.

"High one, if you need more apostles, I’m more than willing..." Socho pointed, blushing and timidly turning her gaze away from Rein’s.

"Ariel what is the limit of apos–

[No, you won’t!]

"Uh?" Rein was shocked, what is with the sudden getup.

[You can’t appoint everyone an apostle, just because you can appoint apostles.]

[Appoint apostles is a delicate matter and this is why I never even ntioned anything about it. Because I know you, you are ready to make everybody and apostle..]

Rein gulped, ’...and it’s really not like that... I only give it to people because it is necessary...’

[Shit don’t tell

that]

[You were going to give it to her now weren’t you...?]

Rein heaved a sigh– he really was going to make her an apostles if Ariel didn’t refuse.

"I’m sorry, Socho...I don’t think–

"No no no high one, please never apologize to ... I’m going to die. To be able to stay by your side is enough for . If you want i can punish myself for daring to ask for this mucb." Sje shouted imdiately falling to her knees and slamming her head on the ground.

"Ah ah ah... you really don’t have to do that" Rein was again put in an uncomfortable condition thanks to the undying loyalty of his subordinates.
