Chapter 274: Where I Stand
Rein entered the large compound of the Palatium drenched in the purple coloured blood of monsters. The Knights who had resud to duty after three days of spending ti with their family were surprised, but they quickly bowed as Rein walked past them hurriedly. The Paladins were a different topic, everything about them was unique even the knights of Moon empire(the ones that participated in the war and were promoted) were envious of their Composure and elegance, even the Order of Knight who barely talk to anyone or take off their helt, were unique, they were positioned at the Eastern yard of the palatium, which was large and very far from the main compound. The Palatium was a city on its own, with maidservants, eunuchs and Knight guards always on patrol.
Rein laid his head on the edge of the pool as he enjoyed his cold bathe.
"To think I would hunt for two days straight...I did manage to reach pass level hundred because of that and now, killing level 500 monsters are barely giving
exp points. Now I have to aim higher" he said.
He looked at his body which has gotten more sturdier and his muscles seed to had thickened more. He smiled and grabbed on the edge of the pool in other to help himself outside of it, the edge he grabbed on crumbled to pieces as he tightened his grip on it about to climb up.
"Wow....I must find a way to control my strength, having a strength stat point of 8000 is not joke" he said as he got out slowly trying not to break the tiled floor with his sturdy and strong feet. He grabbed on a robe and went out to his room.
Alia was there waiting for him.
"His Excellence, Yhuzia and Lord Arnette, Lord Jon has been here since yesterday...what shall I tell them" she said.
"I’ll go and see them" he said to her, she went out blushing, imdiately Rein pulled his robe to change. Rein belatedly found what he just did awkward.

Yhuzia, Jon and Arnette and Zolin all sat down at Rein’s private parlour, with Yhuzia strangling Rein with his glare from where he sat.
Jon and Arnette had both changed trendously in just three days, Jon had cut his long spiky hair and being clothed in his elegant sky blue suit which he chose to be the symbol of his grand duchy. Arnette’s white hair was neat compared to the days of the war and the brightness of his eyes ca out with in his white suit, while Zolin was also looking good in his red suit, having taken Cualli, Quetz and Mahuizoh into his household, while others had also brought their family to their territory.
Arnette couldn’t take his eyes off Rein, ’What is this...is he still growing stronger...with how strong he already is’ Arnette said in his head.
"So Rein, you said you wanted to see us" Jon said.
"Yes..." Rein paused for a mont and continued, "You guys do know it is far from over...the reason why I created this empire was to protect mankind from the false gods. Which is why I will be making so new laws and orders" he said.

"I want to eradicate all the traces othe false gods, firstly within the empire...of course I’m not going to idolise myself, I don’t need the people to worship , the person we will be idolised is Ariel..."
"The small girl..." Zolin said with his hand gesture, "I thought she was just a girl you picked up from sowhere"

He was slapped from behind, he quickly turned back to see Ariel glaring at him wifh fire in her eyes, "who the hell are you calling short?!"
"Ariel will be our key in the fight with the gods... so I need her to rise in rank fast, as it will also be beneficial for the players under her blessing, as they would also be able to fight, I have no plans to use dwellers in this war, except the insist that they want to participate..."
"So we are not–" Jon was about to say but was interrupted.
"Of course minus you guys" Rein said and distributed a sheet of paper each on the table for the three of them.
"In this paper I’ve scribbled my plan of how the creation of the army would fight against the gods will be and they shall be mainly players, except a dweller insists and you all must make them know what they are in for...Two other guys will be joining, they will also be leaders of each factions of army we create...and I plan to make every faction at most ten mbers, so that their growth can be overseen effectively and each of them would be overpowered to the extre for the purpose of fighting the gods" he said.
"This is a lot of work" Jon said, "coupled with the day to day activities of a new Empire, it really is a lot" Jon said.
"And your handwritten is bad too" Zolin added.
"And I want you guys to begin your trainings, accept Ariel’s blessing so you all can surpass your limits, killing an angel was a great feat, I applaud you but its not enough, the angel you killed was second to the lowest in rank, the weakest god is probably as strong as Ansiel, so if we keep going this way, you all will die before we even get to fight any god. Plus, the world is broader than you think, I was chanced to catch a glimpse of it when I was searching for North sea, but I believe there may be greater threats out there than we have ever imagined and they might have placed their mark on our empire and attack can co in any ti, we must be vigilant, of course I trust the warden archons and the Paladin. But it’s not enough, everyone has get stronger, which is why I also plan to make it mandatory for all the knights whether dwellers or players to receive the blessing of Ariel."
"It’s a lot of work..." Arnette said, "and I presu you are saying all this because you won’t be around?"
Yhuzia’s gaze got tighter.
"I have alot to do, I have to find all the dragons, I have to find the new gold dragons, I discovered that my predecessor had a entire race and I might be their new patron deity, I need to find them and bring them, I have to resolve the issue of Eurekyl, then I can finally settle down in peace, if I need to do all those things." He said.
Yhuzia sighed, "NO matter how I think about it, you have a lot on you to be just an Emperor, I guess you will be one hell of a traveller than an Emperor, but I still think you should see the envoys before you go" he said.
"Yes, I will do that tomorrow"
"And how is your journey going to be after that..." Arnette asked.
Rein leaned forward, resting his elbow on his knee,
"I’ll first be resolving the issue of Eurekyl and finding other dragons in process, specifically the gold dragon while at it"
"So will you be going as Rein or as the Moon Emperor...?"
Rein stared at Jon who asked that question, "You seriously don’t expect
to move around in a chariot and with a hundred knights behind him...?"
"It wouldn’t be bad if you’d ask ..." Jon replied.
"No thanks, it’d just be , Samael, Alia, Theo and Azes"
"...I think you forgot my na Sir Emperor" Ariel said from where she was, closing her eyes and directing killing intent at Rein
"No Ariel, I didn’t forget, I clearly stated who will be following , you have a lot to do...rember what we talked about in the past two days...There’s no reason why you need to follow "
Ariel wore am angry expression on her face but Reindidnt care.
Jon looked at both of them.
"So how long will it be?" He asked.
"I can’t say, moreso you can always contact
when there are urgent issues that needs my presence"
Zolin sighed, "You really have a lot on you compared to the days, we’ve not even had ti to talk about it" he said.
Rein smiled, "Well alot has changed from back then"
They all stood up and went out together.
Rein afterwards had to show his face to guest according to his schedule, he also accepted gifts of many high ranking nobles of different Kingdoms. In the evening he walked in disguise with Jihi and Thurber and heard their tails about their days in school, seeing for himself how much they’ve grown.
It’s been a week but the endless streams of envoy had not stopped. Rein has been turning down mist of their request and most of their requested were offering their daughter for Rein to marry, though many offered an alliance, Rein treated it as a pending subject but many of them wanted their daughter to be married to the emperor as a proof of alliance, Rein didn’t really care about an alliance as he feels it would be them rubbing of him, in terms of military strength he has nothing to gain from other kingdoms and the Empire even though being young is rich on its own, plus he still had all of Duke Erin’s enterprises and market place yielding inco, he still had the gold dragon’s lair which was filled with ancient treasures, so riches was not part of his worries.
He sat on his throne, his back leaned and his head resting on his hand and watched from where he sat as a grey haired in white cloak that and a blue heavily armoured man that stood behind him. Two Knight stopped the huge man at the doorstep before the entered.
"It’s okay" Lewis said and entered alone.
Kuthuya standing behind Rein flinched.
Rein looked at him briefly and took his gaze back to Lewis.
Lewis went on one knee, "I greet the Moon Emperor, I am the great Sage, Lewis"
"...oh, I know you...with the elf, long ago" Rein said.
"I’m honored you rember, it has been a long ti since then, your grace has grown very stronger compared to then" he said still on his knee.
"So it was you who first made Euphoria kingdom and empire by breaking it out of the Azure alliance and absorbing the neighbouring Kingdom and force Culin to rge just with the Order of the white lotus alone..." Rein said and looked outside, "That must be the leader of the white lotus" he said.
"You flatter
your grace"
"Give him a chair" Rein said.
One of the eunuchs quickly moved a chair over to where Lewis was. He sat down and looked at Rein faraway.
’Everything about him as changed, he even seed different from just few days ago’
"So, what do you want?" Reinard said.
"The Euphoria empire demands a tribute"
Yhuzia who was seated the whole while at the northern corner and was writing the minute, paused.
"And why?" Reinard asked.
"It is the tradition of the west, when Euphoria Kingdom beca and empire, we paid tribute to the Forgan Empire and Azure Empire and even the Culin Empire before they beca a part of us, it is only normal that you follow the tradition"
"...what if I don’t"
"Anything can happen, Azure and Euphoria empire cannot guarantee a relationship with you, all our trade routes would also be sealed off from your empire, rchants from your empire will also suffer inflation on our side, that is if they are able to trade at all"
Rein sighed, "So how much are we talking about?"
"Thirty thousand gold coins every month"
Yhuzia dropped his pen.
"That’s quite a lot of amount, I’m quite sure the Moon empire didn’t use any of your help to get here, so why should we give you thirty thousand gold coins just for trade routes and rchants right?...well I don’t need you to answer, within the empire is broad enough for rchants to sell and buy, I just have to issue a law that no rchant must sell outside, or they can betterstill go to other continents if they are so desperate."
Lewis squinted his eyes in his round frad glasses.
"Would you really do that?" He asked.
"I’m the Emperor, why not..." Rein replied him.
"You would deprive your rchants of all the goodness they can get from other kingdoms because of thirty thousand gold coins...?"
"Like hell, you probably think I am a novice and have no idea where you a playing at, isn’t it the sa thing wolves do when a new one enters the pack. Your empire was probably not able to amount to much since you all could not dare to go against the Forgan empire, but I did and I brought it down, you definitely know that and definitely know that I can tear down your Kingdom should I want to, but you want to play smart with , using tribute to put
in place, threatening
with the rights and satisfaction of my rchants...?" Rein said, with a calm yet intense tone.
’...looks like he didn’t just get stronger’ Lewis said in his head.
"I have no interest in your rankings or who is above who, you all are self conceited piece of shit, lives were sacrificed to reach here and after all that you think all the Moon empire with amount to is playing tag with you guys? If that is all you have to say kindly help yourself out of my sight" He said still leaning back, his head resting on his hand and looking down at Lewis.
"..." Lewis could not say anything. He found the situation he was I’m completely embarrassing. He regretted the fact the he underestimated Reinard’s thinking.
’Even I will walk out of this place disgracefully, I will make you regret calling my empire a kingdom, I don’t care if it was a mistake’
