Chapter 243: The Dwarven Kingdom

After parting from Rein and finallynreachung the dwarven kingdom, for the past eight days of Rein’s arrival, Ariel and the others have been taken captive by the dwarves and labelled as intruders.

A large cart arrived in front of the capital city gate, a cart with little goods and six grown up n.

"Who are these people?!" The dwarven guard asked.

He didn’t wait for the man to reply,

"Don’t you know visitors are not allowed because of the disaster" he said.

"I’m sorry sir but they are my workn" the man riding the cart said.

The guard let out a sigh, "I’m only allowing it because you are our favourite booze rchant" he said.

"Of course, I’ll bring you a special flavour when next I’m coming" the man said.

"Open the gates" the guard yelled.

The tallic gate rose up and they were granted access into the city.

"Dwarves and alcohol, it seems they have not changed even after so many years" Theophilus said as he looked around the busy city.

Every here and there could be seen a parade of soldiers.

"...what is it with the huge security, are they always this guarded?" Rein asked.

"Oh...sir it is because of the peculiarity of this ti" the 9ld man riding the cart replied.

"Explain better" Rein said

"I don’t know the specific details but it seems the dwarves are being attacked, a lot of humans are being labelled as invaders and are being killed by the sea, at the northern side of the Palace as you can see the other side of the dwarvem kingdom is exposed to the large sea."

"...hmm, for so reason, I’m worried about them"

"Who?" The man asked.

"My friends that ca here earlier than I" Rein said.

"I can’t guarantee that they have not been taken, even you too, I can’t guarantee your safety but since you have given

quite a heavy sum of money I can’t even earn in twn years, I have nothing to say" He said.

Rein did not respond to what he said and silence covered the atmosphere as the cart proceeded and finally stopped after a few turns.

"This is my stop, I look forward to see you again sir" he said and bowed.

Rein received his greetings by placing his hands on the old man’s shoulder and left with the rest of them.

’Rich kids these days are really disrespectful’ the man said in his mind as he watched Rein and his crewmates go farther. He brought out the heavy bag of gold coins,

"Well, this must be fortune for " he said, jiggling the bag and entering into his shop.
