Chapter 130: Chapter 129: The Night

A long journey was an understatent. Central artic was the smallest of all the continents but it didn’t feel like it when travelling.

Rein and the rest of his group were to travel alone to Erihedge, where the second union leader’s Castle was and all they were provided with was a single map.

Reinard, Kai, Sigrid, Deffer, Mahuizoh, Russ, Hask the dwarf, Eztli, Braschiold, Zolin and Altinia; an elf. They had just gotten out of the school, each of them on their mount, Rein who does not have a mount again belatedly spent a fortune on buying a Feral Maaka, a six-eyed tiger-like creature, without stripes, brown furs and large hindlimbs. It wasn’t hard to make the animal obedient since they had a taable nature in a real sense they were just like normal horses, they also hard powerful leaps, very very powerful leaps, a leap could cover over 80miles.

The group had left the academy and were to pass a route called Tierri deep, a thick forest that was said to be ho to various monsters and mythical beast of course passing there was the least of worries to so bunch of goodies who slew fangdorrs and orcs. But there’s no telling what height of evil exist out there so it is only wise that one should be cautious.

"It’s getting deep, I think we should lay rest here for the night" Rein halted his mount and rubbed its body as it obediently stopped and bent down.

"... On what grounds don’t tell

you are scared of monsters" Deffer whined.

Rein stared coldly at Deffer, at first Deffer felt high and mighty as he had once duelled Rein before and dealt so aningful damages but he soon shrank, he didn’t have to be told, the change was very much visible: the Rein he was seeing now was far from what he had duelled with.

Rein continued, "It will be a hassle to take care of monsters while moving, we are prone to lose our goods, I know we are strong but you won’t always et the monster that is after your life, take goblins for example.

"... Eeew, why goblins for an example"Altinia spoke irritatedly.

Rein was worried as to why she made that reaction.

"Goblins are the filthiest of all, rape, stealing, vandalizing, all sort of shit, the only ti those monsters are in order is when they have a king.

’It’s just like in gas’

"And are we sure they have no king right now?"

Everyone was silent for so seconds, then Altinia broke the silence.

"Well no one knows"

"... Even if they have a king, laying camp is a bad option for us, because they would attack in groups. What do you say Kai" Mahuizoh asked,

"I’m fine either ways"

Altinia stared at her.

"What?!" She lashed,

"I don’t know why you strongly are refusing and in the process are making a lot of nonsense. Do you think you can lead the group better?"

"Then fight " Rein finished Altinia’s statent.

’This bastard! I can kill him for sure’

’To... Death’

{???????????????? ???????? ???????? ???????????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ????????}

Everyone imdiately brought out their weapons, but what they felt was very little to what Mahuizoh felt, she stood there blacked out, imdiately Rein retracted his killing intent, the heaviness that fell on the atmosphere disappeared, Mahuizoh lost her cool and freaked out, she fell to the ground and scaredly crawled backwards to the back of a tree and began to bit her fingers.

’I died! I died!!, I died!!!’

"wow... What did you do to her."

"She practically just lost her life. Does anyone have a contrary opinion to what I just said?"

Altinia gulped, "No boss"

’Master is so cool’ He admired how Rein flexed his might while carrying Azes.

Rein’s show of supremacy was sothing that ca from his senses, he had been given a responsibility, he felt it was only natural to establish that he is the one in charge, the forr Rein would’ve willingly left the responsibility for another, perhaps Rein’s change even affected his personality, after all that establishnt of supremacy is a common trait that is common among dragons.

Everyone worked together to make tents and Rein volunteered to catch them dinner, Altinia jumped ahead with him to help, since no one else except Braschiold seems to want to co, Rein went ahead with her, curious Zolin entered the shadows to stalk them.

.....

"...We have been walking for the past seven minutes and you have not said anything"

"To be exact, seven minutes 47 seconds and... now 48"

"I had no idea you were this nerdy"

"Well, you ca off as nerdy first..." Rein looked at her "... You were counting all the ti we’ve been walking, you could have started a conversation instead, but I figured you could be a nerd" Rein moved in towards her she fell back and almost tripped but was caught by Rein’s slim and white hand around her waist.

’what the...’ She rolled away from his hands.

Rein grabbed the brown bamboo that was where she was Standing before, he pulled it out of its root. Altinia opened her mouth in awe. It was an elder bamboo wood, over 9ft tall, which ant the roots were supposed to be very sturdy and impossible to uproot. But Rein just did that easily.

He broke the bamboo into two and brought out a knife and began to sharpen the edges of the shorter side which he was still holding.

"Wait, what are you doing?"

"Hunting...?" Rein tilted his head backwards and looked at her where she was standing. She imdiately avoided his gaze.

’Did I just avoid his gaze... I’m a proud amazon, I shouldn’t falter at the sight of n... Well then he’s a strong and good man, the party leader said... No... No... No, I’m not allowed to’

Rein was done sharpening, he took the sharpened bamboo and threw it far into the bamboo forest. A minute later they heard a large whimpering sound.

"Ohh... Did you just catch a prey"

"Not catch... Killed"

Rein stretched forth his hand, "shall we?"

She clears her throat, "I can walk on my own"

"No problem" Rein disappeared from her sight.

"Ehhhh??? .... Co on!!! How am I supposed to know where you are headed when you teleported!"

Rein arrived.

"I didn’t... I ran, but that was my highest" He dropped the large lion.

"Woah, dude this is an ancient lion. The king of the deep! What the hell did you just do?!!"

"I hunted us a very big at"

"Wait this should be impossible to kill but you killed it with a bamboo stick, this lion has ruled as king for 500 years, have you never heard of The Elderlion of Tierri, this guy is even getting worshipped and you killed him with just a bamboo stick. You didn’t even give it an honourable death.!!"

"I did... I expressed my gratitude to its soul"

"Oh, you can see their souls?"

"No"

"Then just how did you express your gratitude?"

"I just did, let’s go" Rein walked forward.

"You just disrupted an order, there would be uproar in these forest for the next few years."

"Well that’s my speciality anyways" Rein kept walking forward.

"Hey! Wait"

Rein stopped and looked back.

"Why are you not carrying this?"

"I heard you shouldn’t judge an elf by their looks, they can be very strong and not look like it, besides did you follow

here just to talk?"

"... Eh?" Altinia could not believe the scene that was unveiled before her. "Wait... You an I should... Carry this?"

Rein smiled and walked away.

A while later he arrived at the camp area, it was dark and everyone had made a fire, sat around it.

"Where’s at?" Hask asked.

"She’s bringing it"

Everyone flared.

"What???!!!!!"

"Wait, don’t tell

you let a girl as beautiful as Miss Altinia carry at, how big?" Hask asked again, now on his feet, even though he was barely reaching Rein’s chest.

"Bigger than my mount"

Hask was about to punch Rein but imdiately stopped and began to punch the floor. "How could you?!! That was the woman of my dream!!"

Rein looked at him with irritated eyes. ’wasn’t it natural she carried it, I an why did she then volunteer’ The forr Rein was clueless about a lot of things but Rein the deity was a lot more complicated, he was clueless about everything.

"Guys dinner is here!!" Altinia shouted from afar. She could be seen throwing her hands in the air and jumping and soone else was carrying a large animal on his shoulder.

’Seriously how did Master deal with a monster like her, saying she will show

her breast if I help her carry this, and foolish

fell for it. Besides her senses are sharp, how on did she even know I was in the shadows.’

"Wooh guys, Mr Rein killed us the elderlion, oh and have you guys t Mr Zolin, he offered to help, he’s such a nice man, guys"

’... eh? I didn’t... But’ Zolin was looking dumb when Altinia grinned at him. ’Damm, I’ve been tricked’

Rein gave him a disappointed look as he dropped the lion.

Hask ran to him, "Thank you for being such a gentleman, on behalf of the group we are very grateful for you, unlike so other person." Hask glanced backwards.

"...shorty... That other person is my party leader"

"Ahh, sorry sorry my bad...But isn’t shorty..."

Zolin did not wait to hear what he had to say about short and imdiately went to sit with everyone surrounding the fire.

"Mr dwarf, you should be able to help us cut the at and roast it," Altinia asked,

"Of course beautiful lady" The dwarf imdiately brought out a knife and got to work.

Everybody sat around the fire and watched as the dwarf but the sticks of at in the fire and finally joined them.

"Should we start with an introduction, we all sitting like this and staring at the fire is kinda cringy?" Altinia said, she had that playful nature to her and submitted herself to it.

"Good idea Miss beautiful. Well, I am, Hask, a dwarf as you can see, from the eastern continent, the kingdom of Hatendelia, a dwarven kingdom of course."

"Waow, you are from the eastern continent? Just like us" Zolin spoke out.

"Of course, redhead, it is our custom to co here, do you folks think you are the only representative of the eastern continent. I’m 44 years old and the youngest in my family"

"Wow... Your family must be full of grownups"

"Dwarfs live a long life of around 200, 44 is just like being a teenager."

"...oh"

"Well, I’m 84, hee hee, she giggled. I’m the eldest here"

"Don’t elves normally live around 500"

"Dwarf boy, I don’t care. Anyway, call

Altinia. I’m from Sevania, here in the central artic, so kilotres north away from the academy."

"I’m Sigrid, an easterner"

"Well Sigrid, you look strong and beautiful. Do you wanna join the amazons?"

"I have a party already" She glanced at Rein."

"Looks like this group is filled with your party mbers," Altinia said to Rein’s face.

"I’m Reinard, an Easterner"

"Deffer" He stood up and left.

"Kai, an easterner"

"I’m Braschiold, an Easterner, I’m a mber of the Redmoon too"

"I’m Zolin, an Easterner"

"Eztli"

"I’m Russ, a northerner"

"Ahh... Every one of you is so so... boring" She hugged her knees as she stared towards the at and waited for the roasting period, she was the kind of person that always succeeded in lifting the atmosphere but she couldn’t believe she just failed and yet this was the people she would be spending a month with. She whined as she thought of the boredom that would be awaiting her throughout the entire month.
