Chapter 108: Chapter 107: Dark Knight Unleashed
A Dungeons and labyrinth were an existence that the foundation couldn’t be explained, not by the human races, since dungeons, monsters and beast have started to exist from the will of nature itself, long before humans ca into view. However, over a long period, humans have been able to comrcialize the use of dungeons, labyrinth was probably left on their own because they are a little world of their own and does not necessarily inhabit one kind of monster. Dungeons were special, they had different uses, minerals were found in dungeons, rare materials like ancient artifacts sotis dungeons even tell history better than anyone else. Thus dungeons could be sold and owned. And fortunately, the only continent that had dungeons in them was the central artic and northern continent, the eastern dungeons were very low scaled and not even worthy to be called a dungeon, there are rarely boss mo stars in them and most tis they just contain a little number of mining materials. However, the eastern continent had three great labyrinths and was blessed with large and beautiful forest which of course inhabited a lot of monsters.
The Central artic dungeon was managed by a body called the dungeon committed, every region had a dungeon committed that had the right to oversee the managent of the dungeon. Dungeons could have private ownership hence the body works to regulate and enforce laws that co with handlinh6a dungeon and managing such as, the maximum party that can enter the dungeon, dungeon power nsuration and even inspecting dungeon and being able to tell what kind of monster to expect from inside the dungeon.
There was a reason as to why dungeons were very much needed and popular, because of their ability to respawn everything that is in it. Monsters, minerals, besides monster hunted from dungeons their carcasses had a very wide range of use, they could be used to reinforce building materials, to make rare weapons and be used as clothing materials, to make concoctions and to craft different kinds of accessories with impressive attributes attached to them. The worth of dungeons could not be underrated but the main reason was the ability to respawn which ant that whosoever has a dungeon with very good minerals had an infinite source of minerals but the downside to this was that monsters too were always respawned and the monsters get stronger with every respawn, which ant that gradually the tier of a dungeon changes over the years, a dungeon with the lower tier C, could at most beco a tier S dungeon in 70 to 80 years, however, though there are very rare cases, there are cases of so particular monster due to the repetitive respawning so monsters could beco self-conscious hence going through and evolution allowing the dungeon to beco a tier SS and furtherly tier SSS, but cases like this were rare and even though it did happened the unions were always quick to take action and seize ownership of such dungeon.
Tier SSS dungeons were incapable of respawning since it is filled with a self-aware monster, once they die they don’t respawn however over the years a new existence of a new type of monster is very much possible.
"I’m very sorry sir, to trouble you like this..." The head of the committee a bald old man respectfully bowed to the Vice-principal.
"It’s okay... report the situation."
"Well as you have probably heard sir, it’s a tier SSS dungeon..."
"What monster is it?"
"Azreal...sir"
"...ah ...the fallen angel...of all dungeons it just had to be Azreal’s"
’Why is Rein so good at causing trouble for ... with this, I doubt if the academy will continue to overlook the existence of a demonic beast and the unions might have to interfere this ti...since the fire dragon is involved... the fate of the whole continent is involved, how botherso’
"Are you okay Vice - " The head of the committee asked?
"No... I’m good, so about the fire dragon... the last ti it was seen in action was 200 years ago"
"....the war with the wyvern uh"
"Has anyone tried challenging the dungeon before now"
"Well there is a record of the 6th Union seat challenging it but that was over 300 years ago..."
"...can I see the records?"
"Of course, sir" One of the cloaked n left the room they were and in less than two minutes he was back with a large old book.
The vice-principal began to flip the pages and read carefully.
"hmm, So it was Ingn, wasn’t the White dragon from his era too..."
"Yes, that na would send shivers down the spine of whosoever heard it back then. We do have Ingn’s records of him too"
’Reinard, I want to believe this is just a pure coincidence... but if fate is trying to play tricks on you... I’m thinking too much these days’
From the book the vice-principal was reading was written on a particular page: Azreal was not strong but was sly and shaful, I had never seen such a disgraceful monster all my life, it used the existence of the dragon lair around the premises to allow
to withdraw, it would deliberately create strong tremors every ti it attacked, trying to wake up Zaldres, well if Zaldres was to wake up, it’s the first target would be
since I was the stronger one, I had to temporarily retreat, I never had another chance to deal with Azreal since my plate was filled.
Hlofgar took a deep breathe, "Well this ti should be different since it is fighting a beast"
"It’s dangerous this ti sir if the dragon was to wake... what if it cos out and wreaks havoc, after what it did with the wyverns it was nad the mad dragon, there’s no telling what it will do with us too" The head of the committee politely voiced his opinion.
Then suddenly,
The was a sudden loud explosion from the mountains, the head of the committee hurriedly ran to the balcony of the committee tower and fell on his ass in despair of what he saw.
"....th- ...th- Az- real... dungeon!"
"Kreel!"
"Yes sir" The guard Hlofgar often tasked ca out of the air.
"Inform the principal about this... I’ll be heading in first"
"But sir - " Before he could finish his statent Hlofgar had jumped forward and was already flying towards the dungeon, he disappeared into thin air.
The head of the committee muttered prayers as he sat there, "Oh great goddess of the earth, grant your careless children protection"
*********
The unique skill; DarkKnight was a skill that allowed Belet to take on its primordial form. Primordial beast and Catastrophic beast had a trait of morphing into a lesser and tad form when they are tad, while Catastrophic beast cannot assu its original form unless so certain conditions are t, the primordial beast can assu back their real form through two ways; one for them to use the power of their unique skill they had to temporarily take on their real form, the second way they could get back their real form and morph anyti they desire is to attain the initial strength they had before they were tad, indeed during the process of beast taming a beast loses 1:5 of its ability in fusing beast will to its tar.
Azreal shivered in fear as he saw the might of the dark knight as it slowly took his steps towards him.
The clanging of the heavy armour, the swirling of the Cape, black tattered Cape and the whooing of the darkness with a sharp purple eye within the large knight armour, the helt was huge, the Y opening on the face revealed only its purple eyes, no mouth the rest was smoky thick darkness, even the hands was smoky darkness, the huge helt gave it the look of an ancient guardian.
The dark knight opened its hands and a large black rod that looked like a javelin, with dark clothing tied to the neck connecting the sharp edge to the body. The rod emitted a dark and heavy aura, all of the dark knights was emitting this dark and heavy aura, dark knight slowly moved forward as if it was going to take its ti in killing the monster.
Seeing that the Dark Knight was getting closer to it, Azreal swung its earth-like wings and flew high then deliberately landed on the floor
The ground vibrated, which did not bother the dark knight as it continues to march forth, Azreal repeated the sa thing over and over again but the dark knight did not care, each tremor was getting louder and more powerful till the dark knight was right in front of him, on landing he was plunged with the javelin.
Azreal tried its best, putting up a magical shield and turning its body to tal, shielding himself with the wings but the javelin went through like it would in the air. Poor Azreal spat out purple blood and staggered backwards slowly. It was probably thinking how can there be an existence that doesn’t care about the dragons, was it that Belet did not care or rather he did not know either way it was trouble as the tremors were large enough to vibrate the mountains surely if Zaldres was asleep, he would be wide awake.
Hlofgar rushed forward as he wondered to himself what on earth would he even do if Zaldres was to show up, but he couldn’t stop, if it was to him, the principal and Ulfur, they should be able to stall it sohow and evacuate the students, worst case all the union would have to gather... still it wouldn’t be enough to bring down Zaldres, though he might not be the oldest of all but Zaldres himself is over a thousand years old.
’Is this the end of the continent’ He thought as he continued to rush forward.
