Chapter 21: Yours and Mine, A Certain Precious Day
It was once a mansion awashed with the sll of flowers. However, now, it was a busy yet calm mansion filled with the sll of ink, paper, iron, detergent, and really sweet sweets.
Soone would be able to be happy in this land. Actually, it was not just soone, but everyone. I was looking at, with a calm feeling, the dream-like story slowly becoming reality. In the midst of this happiness, I was alive.
“My lady.”
Jasmine and Samua beca flustered at Caron who entered the room with a small knock. I, who was concentrating at the things at hand also raised my line of sight.
“Ah, hold on, Caron. Could I have a bit more ti?”
“Fufu, that’s fine. I will prepare the tea first, so please take your ti.”
Hearing Caron’s gentle tone, the three of us imdiately relaxed our postures.
Kaid paid ticulous care while choosing the food. From the snacks that could be eaten in a bite, to even the equipnt and tools used to prepare the food. That was why it took more than twice as much ti to prepare compared to a usual cup of tea. It was neither a good thing nor sothing to be happy about, but I was thankful for having the ti to finish.
We decided to imrse ourselves in the work at hand in order to complete it by the ti tea was ready.
“I’m done!”
“You, you’re done!? Lies!”
“Isn’t it cute? Don’t you think so too, Head Maid?”
Jasmine raised the item in her hand towards Caron, and Caron who was disinfecting all of the tea utensils glanced at them without stopping her actions. The corners of her lips slowly raised in a smile.
“…Yes, I think it is very good.”
“Head Maid!? Really? I an, it’s like this!? This, for the Master!?”
Towards Samua who was shaking in fear, Caron opened the two bags in her hand. Looking at that, we unconsciously shuddered. However, Caron grandly puffed out her chest in pride.
“That’s because this is revenge towards the Master!”
“Eh? Wait a minute, Caron. I didn’t hear anything about this revenge.”
“It’s okay, My Lady.”
I instinctively felt happiness towards the Caron who was smiling sweetly and cutely, but it was not a situation in which my chest filled with warm feelings. That was because I heard so unexpected words from Caron. It was not just who was shocked by Caron’s words. Samua and Jasmine also jumped up in fright.
“Eh!? Head Maid, this was for a revenge!? What!?”
“It’s okay, it’s just a small retaliation.”

In the end, without finding out what it was, the preparations for the tea was completed, and we also finished our work. The three of us took off our aprons while giving a last look at the items we just completed.
Jasmine and Samua headed back to work after, but I went with them for part of the way. Caron, who was pushing a cart with tea and the stuff we made, was at the very back, while Samua was directly behind and Jasmine, who was carrying everyone’s aprons followed behind him. The aprons were heading straight to the laundry.
I was urged by Caron to walk at the front. It did not matter who walked at the front, but as expected, it was a little bad if the Mistress of the house walked behind the maids. Caron usually ignored it if there were no visitors to the mansion, but as it was decided that we would go to the Royal Capital, we had been practicing even the smallest details. However, it seed as though she would not stop us from talking, so we were smiling while chatting with each other.
“Hey, Shirley.”
“Yes~?”
“What’s it like when it’s just you and Master together!?”
Samua choked a little as he heard Jasmine ask the question with twinkling eyes.
“You, what are you saying all of a sudden!”
“That’s cause, it’s that Master and Shirley, you know!? Aren’t you curious!? It’s not just , but everyone’s curious about it. During break ti it’s always on our minds regardless of whether we’re watching the flowers in full bloom, or carelessly overeating sweets.”
“Ah, no wonder all the maids have been looking a little plump lately.”

“Oh, I’m curious too! Shirley!?”
My eyes which were begging for help frantically shifted towards the back right side while my head slightly bent backwards towards the left. In the left, behind , was Jasmine with her eyes sparkling. She suddenly let out a delightful smile, and slung her arms around my shoulders. It hurt a little, but the Jasmine who was behaving like a spoiled child was cute.
“Ehehe, being able to have such idle talk with Shirley makes happy… Eh, there seems to be a nice sll. Shirley, why do you always sll so nice?”
“I’m not using any perfu now, though… What kind of sll could it be? Also, I’m just studying with Kaid.”
“Studying.”
The two of them said the sa thing. As I did not really hear the two of them agreeing with each other often, I thought I had said sothing strange, and thus, stopped walking and turned around. Receiving stares from both the left and the right, I did not know where to look, and ended up looking in-between the two of them at Caron.
“I’m ashad to say, but I don’t really know much about the job of a lord. If I don’t even know that, I couldn’t help Kaid, nor be soone he could rely on. That’s why I’m studying… I’m no good. Even if Kaid were to finish his work early and co back, in the end I’m still making him talk about his work. If it’s like this, Kaid wouldn’t be able to rest. Thank you, Jasmine. I’ll be careful from now on. Thank you for noticing.”
“Eh, uh… That wasn’t what I ant… Umm… That’s right! Have you decided on where to go for your honeymoon!?”
“I think your persistence is sothing to be respected. It’s amazing.”

Even though we had started splitting the work, Kaid was still busy. That was why I thought it would be better if we went for the inspection, but both Caron and the Butler Head wore a face of displeasure. Caron, whose thoughts were showing on her face, had a slightly twitching eyebrow.
“An inspection is an inspection, a vacation is a vacation. If an inspection is needed, then organize a trip solely for that purpose. In the first place, you should not be combining your work and your honeymoon. Neither should be added to the other!”

It was not just Gimmi that we were invited to, though.
