Chapter 759: Chapter 397 “The Body of a Cripple” and “Feigned Death Resurrection” (Please Subscribe)_1
With the initiation of the Fate Simulation, ti within reality also ca to a complete standstill.
Milton Cheney’s consciousness sank into a long silence as well.
It’s uncertain how much ti had passed, perhaps a mont, or perhaps countless years.
Fortunately, the passage of ti held no aning for Milton at this mont.
After all, once his consciousness had completely subrged into silence, he was entirely unable to perceive the passing of ti.
Years passed.
The consciousness of Milton gradually began to awaken from its silence.
This also signified that his final accumulated Fate Simulation had been activated, and he returned to the world represented by the simulation.
Just like the experiences after the arrival of previous Fate Simulations.
At this mont, a massive flood of mories surged within Milton Cheney’s mind.
The mories suddenly appeared in his mind, but fortunately, Milton was prepared the instant his consciousness recovered.
After all, this wasn’t his first experience with the Fate Simulation.
Including the previous sessions of Fate Simulation, this was now the fifth ti he had initiated it.
Therefore, compared to the previous tis when his consciousness recovered within the simulation, the speed at which Milton processed these mories was much quicker now.
The inherited mories within the simulation were vast.
At first, Milton rely sorted through these mories briefly.
However, as ti gradually passed, these organized, foreign mories beca increasingly clear.
Of course, to thoroughly digest these mories in a short period of ti was naturally impossible.
It was highly unlikely for him to accomplish that in this Fate Simulation, as he hadn’t managed to fully assimilate all the inherited mories in his previous simulations.
Moreover, even if he could digest all the mories, the benefit to Milton wasn’t as significant as one might imagine.
No matter how many mories he digested, only a part of them could be retained upon returning to reality.
Even if he fully assimilated all inherited mories in this Fate Simulation, he would still only be able to hold onto a portion of those mories upon his return to the real world.
Having undergone four simulations already, Milton was well aware of this.
Nevertheless, even just digesting a portion of the mories, although not easy for Milton, wasn’t exceptionally difficult either.
At least, while processing these mories, Milton didn’t feel the slightest bit of discomfort.
Just as in the previous instances of Fate Simulation.
In this simulation, after the recovery of his consciousness,
Milton Cheney could distinctly sense that he had once again taken occupation of another person’s body.
The gradually assimilated fragnts of mory in his mind made clear the identity of the original owner of this body in the simulation.
Tens of thousands of years seed almost to have passed in the blink of an eye.
During these tens of thousands of years, Milton processed only a portion of the more important mories.
At a certain mont, Milton opened his eyes.
He didn’t deliberately perceive his surroundings.
For the mories inherited in his mind made him keenly aware of his current predicant.
At the mont, he was lying flat on a pale glowing jade bed.
The surrounding environnt was shrouded in darkness.
As if apart from him, there were no other life forms in this place.
And indeed, it was so.
“The Universe’s sea has shattered, the True Spirit is crushed, and this body seems to be stripped of vitality completely,”
“This simulation presents a situation utterly different from the previous simulations.”
Lying flat on the bed, Milton mused to himself.
At this ti, his brow furrowed slightly, not because he was contemplative, but because the sense of decay emanating from inside and out of this body made him extrely uncomfortable.
Milton was certain that he controlled this body.
But even with control, making the slightest movent was exceedingly difficult.
Even a simple movent like moving a finger made Milton feel completely powerless.
At this ti, his consciousness was lucid, and his thoughts could function normally, but his body was nearly entirely decayed.
The inherited mories in his mind were vast, yet the power contained within his body was virtually non-existent.
This body, devoid of any cultivation.
It’s not that the cultivation was hidden or anything similar; it was truly absent.
One could say that if the real Milton were here, he could easily destroy this body.
Simply put, the body Milton inhabited was now nothing more than an empty shell.
Inside this shell was an utter ruin.
Yet curiously, although Milton could sense the decay of this body, he felt no pain whatsoever.
Literally, no pain.
After all, even an Ordinary Person would feel pain from an injury.
But at this mont, Milton felt nothing of the sort.
It was as though his sense of pain had been blocked.
There could be many reasons for this phenonon.
However, Milton believed that there was a high likelihood he simply couldn’t bear such pain now; therefore, the Simulator automatically shielded him from it.
After all, if not for the Simulator, he would have been tornted with unbearable pain after inhabiting this body.
“Heir of the First Universe Sequence’s Ninth Noble House, a sacrificial victim of a failed bid for the role of Sequence Lord?”
