Chapter 125
Initiation and Reunion
The “initiation ceremony” turned out to be far simpler than Lucy had expected.
After everyone completed the tabletop tapping ritual, Albert, bearer of the Crown of Imaginary Numbers, bestowed upon her a badge engraved with the High Elvish script for “1404.”
This badge granted her unrestricted access to all non-private areas within the Star Law Institute, including the library and the twelve Crown Towers.
After informing her of several other privileges afforded to official mbers, a tower knight placed a wooden armchair at the final seat.
From now on, whenever attending the Divine Remains Round Table, that would be Lucy’s exclusive seat.
...
With the brief initiation ceremony concluded.
“Master Theodosius, do you not wish for to join Her Excellency Molly’s tower?”
Lucy now understood the significance of joining a Crown Tower.
The four islands of the Wizard Continent were divided by ti zones into twelve fan-shaped sectors, with each Crown Tower corresponding to one sector and charged with overseeing all deity-related incidents within its region.
In essence, joining a Crown Tower was no different from joining the Tower of the Four Sages—it simply ant becoming a subordinate of a high-ranking wizard.
What she could not understand was why Master Theodosius would subtly imply that she should decline the invitation.
“Could it be that Lady Molly is a hidden traitor?!”
“Absolutely not...” Theodosius hurriedly cut her off. “As the most powerful alchemy scholar, Miss Molly forges witchcraft tools used by at least half the wizards in the Divine Remains Round Table, myself included. There’s no way she could be a traitor.”
Theodosius explained that if Molly truly had any ill intent, she could easily tamper with her crafted tools.
By rendering them ineffective at a critical mont, she could silently cripple a significant portion of the top combat forces without ever needing to take the risk of forming so “secret council” with evil gods.
“Then why, Master...”
“Because Lady Molly is not the best choice,” Theodosius stated bluntly. “Although she provides the strongest witchcraft tools across the entire Wizard Plane, her own combat strength among the Crown Wizards isn’t particularly notable.”
“More importantly, the tower presided over by Her Excellency Molly is located in Ti Zone 6, which does not align with your original location in the Western Continent’s Ti Zone 8.”
Lucy imdiately understood. “Master, you an I should join Ti Zone 8.”
Theodosius nodded with a smile. “Undoubtedly the best choice.”
“Although, as Her Excellency Molly said, there is no Crown Wizard from the School of Anatomy among the twelve, you can always co directly to if you have any questions.”
Upon hearing this, Lucy had a sudden realization.
What sounded like an upright and reasonable suggestion was, in fact, Theodosius recruiting talent for his own tower.
But the master had not been wrong about one thing.
Given the current circumstances, Theodosius was indeed the most trustworthy ally.
Considering she had once disrupted the sches of the Three Pillar Gods, staying close to Theodosius was undoubtedly the safest choice.
Moreover, as the only Star Ring Wizard of the School of Anatomy, he could provide her with the most direct guidance for her future developnt.
Lucy saw no reason to refuse.
“There’s no need to say more, Master. I’m willing to join the tower of Ti Zone 8 under your charge,” Lucy said with a bow. “I hope you will guide well in the days to co.”
A gratified smile spread across Theodosius’s face. With such a prodigious talent, one who possessed the power of multiple laws and shone like a “rising star,” the future position of Ti Zone 8 was bound to beco even more secure.
“By the way, Master, may I be so bold as to ask—who is the president in charge of our ti zone?”
Upon hearing this, even Theodosius couldn’t help but straighten his back slightly.
“That was actually going to be my next reason to persuade you.”
“The one presiding over our ti zone is none other than the First President of the Divine Remains Round Table, hailed as the strongest wizard—the Crown of Crowns, the Sage of the Lake, His Excellency rlin!”
Lucy was unfamiliar with the rlin Master ntioned by Theodosius.
But the dog Fenrir perched on her shoulder suddenly leapt up as if his tail had caught fire, furiously cursing:
“It’s that old bastard rlin! I swear I’ll kill him! Lucy absolutely must not join his tower, or… or I’ll return to the Realm of Death this instant!”
He turned around to threaten Lucy, only to be grabbed by the scruff of his neck and flung straight into the Abyss of Nightmares.
She knew full well that if this creature dared return to the Realm of Death in its current state, no one could restrain the Gatekeeper of the Gate of the Dead.
But more likely, he would be obliterated on the spot by any passing powerful soul—after all, as the Dog God, Fenrir had made many enemies in the Realm of Death, especially now that he had completely severed ties with the Sleeper. There was no way he’d dare go back lightly.
Soon, she learned the reason behind Fenrir’s fury from Theodosius.
Years ago, Fenrir had attempted to reach the moon via the Gate of the Dead, aiming to ascend and descend through the sacrifice of the moon itself.
Due to the imnse distance from the Wizard Continent, the plan was nearly successful.
But at the final mont, rlin appeared, not only shattering his sche but also destroying his physical body, forcing him into slumber for over twenty years before he could awaken.
Had rlin not intervened, Fenrir might already be the Moon Lord—on par with the Three Pillar Gods.
No wonder he reacted so violently upon hearing rlin’s na.
“We’ll talk about the rest later. For now, let help you settle in. You’ll co to appreciate the benefits of being a Round Table mber in ti.”
“No need to trouble yourself, Master.”
Exiting the hall, Lucy politely declined. “My junior sister will help get acquainted.”
Following her gaze, Theodosius looked over and remarked in mild surprise:
“Olivia is your junior sister?!”
As a Ti Witch, Olivia was quite renowned within the Star Law Institute and was a key protégé of the Chronological Tower.
“We both studied under ntor Fernando at the Tower of the Four Sages.”
“I didn’t know that.” Theodosius nodded slightly. “Well then, now that you have your badge, all the resources of the Star Law Institute are freely available to you.”
After a few brief instructions and setting a ti to report to the tower in a week, the “radiant lightbulb” finally walked away with hands behind his back.
After half a year apart, the two sisters-in-apprenticeship couldn’t contain their excitent. Ignoring the glances of scattered wizard apprentices around them, they hurried into an embrace.
Breathing in each other’s familiar scent, they were reluctant to let go for a long while.
When Lucy looked up to take in the sight of her junior, she couldn’t help exclaiming, “Livy, you’ve grown taller again!”
Where once she could look her in the eye, she now could only see her chin.
Not only had her height increased, but Olivia’s figure had also beco more striking, exuding a commanding, queen-like aura from head to toe.
Taking in the faint milky scent on Lucy and the softness of her body pressed close, Olivia chuckled and said:
“And you, my dear senior sister, haven’t grown much at all these past six months, have you?”
Though her 65 inches (165 cm) in height wasn’t exactly short, she was clearly overshadowed by Olivia.
This struck a hard blow to Lucy, who had always seen herself as the one in control.
At that mont, with the regal and aloof Olivia standing beside the petite and sweet Lucy, the latter seed more like the younger, gentler apprentice.
Sensing the awkwardness in Lucy’s eyes, the black-haired girl decided to go for the win.
“Let’s hope your ntal strength hasn’t stalled like your height, or you’re going to be at a disadvantage, se-ni-or!”
