Chapter 33 - Beg And I Might Consider

"It’s.. You?" Feng Jiu was utterly shocked. She subconsciously tried to hide her abdon. She was afraid that MinFeng would find Little Bump’s existence.
’No.. I must stay away from him!’ As she was panicking, she saw MinFeng smile at her.
"It’s been a long ti." Feng Jiu felt her blood turned cold.
’Why? Why was he okay? In these past few days... was he.. was he living his life like how it used to be before he t ? Back to being the great Eldest Young Master with countless won ready to crawl onto his bed? Was he acting like this right now because what happened to us was already in the past?’
Deep inside, Feng Jiu wanted to see how MinFeng lived in the past few days. In those tis she was thinking of him, she always thought that at least, even just a little, he would feel distressed for losing her.
But she was wrong, so f*cking wrong.
Seeing him smiling and looking handso as always, she felt like her heart was repeatedly stabbed with needles. Since the day she left, there was never a ti where she was able to forget him.
She sotis thought that maybe she was wrong. That maybe she should give MinFeng another chance, that she should let him explain his side and that she should forgive and forget. For the sake of her own heart and for the sake of Little Bump.
But after seeing him sitting there, looking as handso as before without even a touch of regret showing on his face for losing her, Feng Jiu wanted to laugh out loud at her own idiocy.
She stupidly thought that he would be like her, who beca miserable after running away.
But no. He was not miserable. Not at all.
"Yes. It’s been a while, Mr. Lu." Feng Jiu buried everything deep inside her heart. She tried to stay calm as possible, not letting any emotion escape on her face. She tried to reach a glass of water but as she tried to use her hand, she noticed that her fingers were shaking hard. She discreetly lowered her hand and pretended to slowly knock the table.
’I must find so excuses to get away from here.’ Feng Jiu could feel MinFeng’s stare across the table.
She inhaled and said, "Seems like Mr. Lu likes to stare. Is there sothing wrong with my face?"
MinFeng’s eyes darkened. "Looks like these past few days, you were living comfortably."
Feng Jiu froze. She wanted to shout at him. ’Comfortably?? Always falling asleep, always feeling dizzy all the ti while being depressed and crying all night... You call that ’Living comfortably’? Lu MinFeng... I guess it was all but a delusion in my part. I was hoping that you also cared for , that you would think of . chase and beg for my forgiveness. But... I was wrong. It’s really funny. No matter how much I hate you, my heart still beats for you.. No matter how much I condemn you, I still yearn for you. Seems like what that woman said was true. The first one who falls in love is indeed the loser, and I was utterly defeated by you. I lost completely. But, I have to move on. I have to move on for the sake of my child, for the sake of Little Bump. I have to be strong. I must show you I can live without you. That I am perfectly fine.’
Feng Jiu smiled. Concealing the fact that her heart was bleeding right now. "Mr. Lu is correct. After waking up from being stupid for a while, I suddenly thought that I should free myself and move on. Free from worries and unnecessary troubles."
She stared at him. Not avoiding his gaze. "Since you ca, I assu that you already knew about our engagent. Since that’s the case, I guess there’s no need for any explanation."
Feng Jiu gave MinFeng a folder. "As you can see, as a filial child, I do not want to oppose the elders. They wanted the union of Feng and Lu Family. But I don’t want to sacrifice my own happiness to marry soone... I... do not love."
When Feng Jiu said those last words, she forced herself to look directly at MinFeng’s eyes. Feng Jiu saw MinFeng’s eyes shook. She could see the pain, anger and sadness inside it.
’Pain? Anger? Sadness? Impossible. I must be seeing things. Why would he feel those emotions if he doesn’t care about ?’
"I already wrote the agreent. All you need is to sign those papers."

When MinFeng heard Feng Jiu said that she did not want to sacrifice her own happiness to marry soone she did not love, his heart almost stopped beating.
Like soone splashed a cold water at him. The happiness that he felt after he saw her again suddenly vanished in thin air. ’After all those months we shared together, seems like I was never inside her heart.’
MinFeng could only stare at her. His heart turned cold. He chuckled.
"Oh? Seems like Miss Feng ca prepared. So, what are the agreent listed here?" He opened the folder and read the content.
To summarize, they will marry for the sake of appearance. Both parties will not ddle with each other’s private life. They will live separately and any conjugal acts between husband and wife are not possible. They will get divorce in 5 month’s ti. For the benefits of both parties, Lu and Feng will have a collaboration in architectural design.]
MinFeng wanted to shred the agreent into pieces. ’Five months?? No conjugal acts between husband and wife?? Hao. Feng Jiu, if you think I will let you escape from again, you are very wrong. I’d rather have you locked inside my room than let soone have you for himself. No matter what happens, you can only have . You can only give birth to my children. You can only grow old with . You can only love . No one else but only .’
MinFeng threw the folder and stood up. "I am a businessman, Miss Feng. I need profit in every transaction. If you don’t have anything to discuss anymore, I will go first." He started to walk away.
"Lu MinFeng!! Stop!"
He turned and stared at her. "There’s no profit signing that agreent... But if you beg... I might consider it."
"You---!!!"
