The mont the system vanished.

Luna felt dazed for an instant, as if so invisible bond had been gently severed, leaving her feeling light and free inside and out.

Corbin Crowley, ever perceptive, noticed her distraction; his silver eyes narrowed slightly. "What’s wrong?"

She snapped back, smiled, and shook her head, accepting the bowl of chicken soup and taking a sip. "It’s nothing. I just feel... really good."

The warm, fragrant chicken soup slid down her throat, filling her whole being with cozy warmth.

Zeke and Kian Sterling, afraid of disturbing her rest, each took the newborn wolf pups and white fox kits back to their own rooms.

They each gave nas to the five little ones.

The liveliest white wolf pup was nad Cade Skyler, the green-furred wolf was called Linus Veridian, and the red little she-wolf was nad Faye.

Kian Sterling’s two white fox kits were nad as well.

One was called Caden Sterling, the other Lucas Sterling.

The five newborn babies still drank beast milk, so Luna Sutton didn’t have to feed them herself.

At first, she felt a bit guilty, like she’d let her babies down, but as she saw them grow up strong and healthy on beast milk, she gradually let go of her worries.

...

The bonfire of the harvest gradually died down, the bustling noise giving way to calm silence.

The Golden Silkworm King sat alone atop the highest wall of The Wolf Tribe, gazing out at the distant courtyard bathed in warm lights, filled with joy and laughter.

He could clearly hear the childish voices of the young ones playing inside.

The ticulous care those seven beast husbands showered upon her—he saw it all, and could feel that she truly lived a peaceful, happy life.

He admired her intelligence and beauty, was deeply drawn to her unique charm, and longed to beco her eighth beast husband. But in the end, that could only ever be a distant dream.

Perhaps it was ti for him to leave, ti to go in search of a place that truly belonged to him.

The Golden Silkworm King stretched out his hand; in his palm lay a luminous golden cocoon, shimring with pure life energy.

It was a precious treasure condensed from his very essence, capable of protecting soone’s heart at a critical mont, preserving their life.

He stood and walked toward the wall, taking advantage of the pitch-black night to silently slip to the outer edge of the courtyard.

With a gentle motion, the golden cocoon turned into an almost imperceptible streak of light, silently flying into the courtyard, passing through the window to land upon Luna Sutton in the master bedroom, finally rging into her body.

"May you bask in warm sunshine all your life, live happily, and never know sorrow again."

He whispered soundlessly, filled with relief, yet carrying a deep blessing.

Finally, casting one last nostalgic look at the warm lights, the silhouette of the Golden Silkworm King reluctantly lded into the night and disappeared into the woods of Sky-mist Canyon, never looking back.

The next morning, Jago rushed in to find Luna Sutton, handing her a beast skin scroll with only a few lines written on it:

"Luna, seeing you safe, my heart is at ease. The world is vast—take care of yourself."

Signed, The Golden Silkworm King.

Rhys Blackwood was right beside her; he glanced at the contents and said lightly, "He bid farewell to the leader three days ago, saying he was off to seek his sea of stars."

Luna Sutton sighed softly, put the beast skin scroll away, and didn’t say a word.

That man, who loved to wear gold robes and was always proud, playful, and a bit timid, had finally chosen to let her go.

...

Three years slipped by, and the tribe grew ever more prosperous.

Luna Sutton found herself thoroughly entangled by her seven beast husbands and their string of mischievous kids, unable to get away.

One day, at last, she found an excuse to take everyone out exploring, claiming it was to broaden the children’s horizons.

That day, they ca to the edge of Aurevale, a swamp blanketed with poisonous mists.

They had wandered there almost by accident, not quite sure how they’d arrived.

The air was thick with decay and a sense of danger.

"Matron, there’s sothing happening over there."

Kael, who had already grown into a handso young boy, had inherited his father’s sharp senses; he wrinkled his nose and pointed to the depths of the swamp.

The n instantly beca alert, moving to shield Luna Sutton and the little ones behind them.

Zeke’s fingertips glimred with green light, dispersing the drifting poison mist around them.

"Co on, let’s take a look."

Deep within the swamp, five or six giant swamp crocodiles, their eyes blood-red and minds driven mad by the poisonous fog, were fiercely attacking a bloodied White Tiger beastman.

The White Tiger beastman was wounded to the bone, but still clung tightly to an unconscious Old Beastman behind him.

Corbin Crowley and the others were puzzled about why a White Tiger was here, and who he was; they moved forward to investigate.

Just then, the White Tiger beastman was suddenly slamd by a giant crocodile, sent flying to the riverbank not far from Luna Sutton and her group.

Mud splattered on their boots, but no one paid it any mind.

"I’ll go see who it is."
