The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day Chapter 476 - 356: Reconciliation
At the East Gate of Beast King City.
Malachi Arcanus had transford into human form at so unknown ti. In his haste to hurry on his way, his hair was tousled, dotted with dry leaves, and his fur collar was slightly open, revealing an explosive chest and abs, akin to a wild man.
Rugged, uninhibited, his wildness was untad, yet carried an extrely unique charm.
He paced back and forth with a clay pot in his arms, his brows and eyes filled with irritability and impatience.
Due to the plague outbreak, Beast King City was sealed overnight, forbidding beastn from leaving and others from entering.
Each day, only designated beastn were allowed to go out hunting, to supply food and drink for the beastn citizens within the city.
When Malachi Arcanus arrived, he was naturally stopped.
If it weren’t for fear of Luna saying he was causing trouble, he would have barged in by now.
The guards stationed at the city gates frequently cast glances towards Malachi Arcanus, secretly thinking to themselves, this Wolf Tribe is truly full of hidden talents, to have such a powerful beastman.
Ranked even above the Beast King.
However, the Beast King’s strength can’t be asured by rank, being the legendary Ten-Tailed Celestial Fox, overcoming rank challenges is no hard task.
Still, they wondered, if this three-headed, six-eyed red-haired wolf were to fight the Beast King, who would be more formidable?
Of course, it’s just thoughts, no one truly wishes to provoke such a battle.
The beastman guard who entered initially soon erged, approached Malachi Arcanus cautiously, with a smile on his face, respectfully saying: "This... sir, the Beast King requests your presence."
"Lead the way."
Malachi Arcanus gave the other a faint glance, lifted the clay pot and strode forward.
His deanor seed less about delivering sothing, and more like patrolling his own domain.
The beastman guard watched Malachi Arcanus’ departing figure, secretly wiped cold sweat from his brow, thankful he hadn’t offended this formidable being, else he’d have died without knowing how.
Inside the Beast King Hall, Kian Sterling was making tea.
Steam curled from the ceramic teapot, his slender fingers pinching a tea spoon, sprinkled so snow mountain truffle into the cup.
Upon hearing footsteps, his fox-like eyes subtly raised, knowing it was Malachi Arcanus, instantly smiling warmly and gently: "Malachi Arcanus has arrived, take a seat, just in ti to taste the tea I brewed."
As Malachi Arcanus entered the Beast King Hall, he heard these words, eting Kian Sterling’s seemingly harmless, smiling face.
He instantly felt uncomfortable, this old fox was best at putting on a show, just seeing him was annoying.
Ever since that incident, as long as he saw Kian Sterling’s smiling face, he would feel shivers down his spine, cold and eerie.
If he hadn’t seen the old fox’s true nature, he wouldn’t believe, even on pain of death, the other’s insidious and terrifying nature.
Luckily, things have been peaceful since then, with no further trouble being caused.
"Old fox, don’t smile at , when you smile, I get goosebumps. I’m here to deliver dicine."
Saying this, he directly slamd the clay pot onto the tea table, with such force that the tea in the bowl spilled over.
He, unceremoniously, sat opposite Kian Sterling, gulping down the tea in front of him, evidently thirsty.
Malachi Arcanus’ expression was overtly disdainful, "What kind of tea is this, tastes horrible, bitter and astringent."
He’s used to roughness, naturally unable to appreciate such fine tea, truly finding plain water more comfortable.
Kian Sterling wasn’t offended, long used to Malachi Arcanus’ rudeness and straightforwardness, knowing his genuineness ant no offense.
Yet, sowhat pained by his tea, guzzled in such a manner, it was truly a waste of a good pot of tea, perhaps better to give him water directly, suiting his tastes.
Misjudged indeed...
He concealed his thoughts, and his gaze fell upon the clay pot, "What’s this?"
"The Golden Silkworm King’s saliva."
Malachi Arcanus instantly laughed, purposely pushing the pot towards Kian Sterling, "Redy for the plague, Luna asked to deliver it over thousands of miles."
Kian Sterling’s expression instantly turned to stone, staring hard at the clay pot, "Saliva?"
"Holy Water."
Malachi Arcanus stifled a laugh and corrected him, taking out a crumpled beast skin and tossing it over, "Here’s the prescription. Luna, the Golden Silkworm King, and the witch doctor developed it overnight. It’s been tested and can cure the plague. Follow the thod, have soone brew the dicine and give it to the sick, it will certainly be effective."
Kian Sterling unfolded the beast skin, scanning the scribbled words written with charcoal pen, evidently hastily done, indeed recording an unprecedented prescription.
Even containing several highly toxic herbs.
His brows furrowed deeper, if it were anyone else, he’d suspect their malicious intent, wanting to poison Beast King City.
But he knew Malachi Arcanus well, despite any discord between them, any grievance would be settled imdiately; there was no way, nor reason, to resort to such actions later.
