The witch doctor stroked his beard, squinted his eyes at Maya Miller’s hurried fleeing figure, and muttered, "Young people these days really can’t take any hardship."

Cynthia laughed until her stomach hurt, and she had Jago divide the ceramics on the ground into several portions.

Lyle Sutton gave one set, and the witch doctor and Priest each gave another set.

Zeke Veridian also had a set, and he kept one set for himself.

After the division, only a few pottery bowls and jars were left on the grass.

But they were quickly snapped up.

Saffron Vance exchanged half a year’s worth of Snow Mink Fur for a pottery jar.

Belle Sumrs used two whole deer skins to exchange for two pottery bowls.

The two walked away happily with the pottery they had exchanged.

The females who didn’t get any pottery could only wait for the next batch.

Seeing no more pottery, the crowd quickly dispersed, each going about their own business.

Lyle Sutton, Priest, and the witch doctor each walked away with a set of their own ceramics.

Faces full of joy.

On the way back.

Jago carried a freshly hunted Fla Beast, already butchered and cleaned by the riverside, ready to be sliced thin for hot pot.

Zeke Veridian carried two vine baskets on a shoulder pole, one in front and one behind, filled with freshly fired ceramics.

One set was his, the other was Cynthia’s.

Suddenly, his gaze noticed a bunch of wild onions growing by the roadside, he stopped in his tracks and casually plucked them.

Cynthia walked behind, clutching her stomach, and paused when she saw Zeke’s actions.

She rembered Zeke previously hated wild onions, saying they were slly grass and slled awful.

Unexpectedly, he now took the initiative to pluck wild onions.

But she really liked them, almost putting onions in everything she ate.

Zeke tossed the wild onions into the vine basket, his ear tips slightly red, "For hot pot tonight."

She stared at his slightly red ear tips, and chuckled, deliberately leaning closer to him, "Oh, I rember soone complaining that wild onions stink? Saying they’re awful."

Zeke’s ear tips reddened further, his handso face also flushed, turning his face aside, the vine baskets on the shoulder pole swaying slightly.

He coughed twice, "Cough... suddenly feels okay."

Jago carrying the Fla Beast silently quickened his pace.

Help, Lord Zeke is shy, I need to go tell the tribe...

...

The night deepened, insects chirped quietly outside the cave, inside the cave the firelight flickered, casting shadows on the stone walls.

In the newly fired ceramic mandarin duck pot, the red and white broth bubbled, soon wafting spicy and fresh aromas.

Lyle Sutton brought Priest and the witch doctor along uninvited.

The Old Wolf King rudely sat down in the main seat, eyes fixed intently on the bubbling mandarin duck pot.

Priest followed sitting slowly with a cane, glancing sharply like an eagle at Jago beside him, "The Leopard Tribe’s Fifth-rank Warrior, how can you willingly let others ride you?"

Jago froze, hand paused above the pot, that’s a good question, even he himself didn’t know.

Zeke looked at Priest and quietly added, "He bet with Luna and beca Luna’s mount."

This was the reason Cynthia initially gave them, though it felt a bit far-fetched.

But they all believed it.

Otherwise, how to explain a Fifth-rank Warrior willingly becoming a female’s mount, with no ntal issues?

As for Jago liking Luna and wanting to be Luna’s male, anyone with eyes could see Jago’s respect for Luna, without any romantic intentions.

Jago didn’t explain, because even he couldn’t quite figure it out, he just inexplicably beca the master’s mount.

But he didn’t regret it.

Priest didn’t doubt, nodding while stroking his beard, "He’s a good sport."

Jago chuckled dryly, tossing lamb slices into the spicy pot, splashing hot oil onto Lyle Sutton’s hand.

The Old Wolf King yelped jumping up, "You little rascal, trying to assassinate the leader!"

...

Two monts later, the hot pot base ingredients were scooped out clean.

Lyle Sutton patted his stomach with a burp, thought of sothing, and said with a complex expression, "Luna, can your pottery-making skills be taught to the tribe’s West District Beastn?"

The Beastn are creatures that failed to transform in the tribe, so can only maintain human form, so only beast form, unable to switch freely.

And so carry certain animal traits.

They are all uniformly assigned to live in the tribe’s West District.

Due to being Beastn, their hunting ability is limited, life is quite tough.

Not only is their status low, but they are also looked down upon.

Furthermore, no females are willing to pair with them, most are lonely until old age.

Luna Sutton paused her chopsticks and looked at her father: "Do you want them to learn pottery, Dad?"

"The Beastn have weak hunting abilities, but they’re skilled with their hands."

Lyle Sutton scratched his chin stubble, "Your third uncle’s kid failed to transform, but the wicker baskets he made aren’t inferior to those made by the tribe’s won. You’re about to give birth soon, and you won’t have ti to fire pottery. It’s better to let them do it. It’ll not only provide value to the tribe but also improve their lives."

Though Beastn have low status, they’re still clansn.

Luna Sutton understood what Lyle Sutton ant. Wow, is he planning a Beastn reemploynt project?

"Sure!"

She thought for a mont and nodded slightly, "But I have a condition."

"What condition?"

Lyle Sutton asked nervously.

Luna Sutton glanced at him: "First, I get to choose the apprentices."

"That’s for sure, not everyone is suitable to learn pottery making."

Lyle Sutton nodded slightly, having no objections on that point.

"Second, sixty percent of the pottery must belong to the tribe, thirty percent to , and ten percent to be divided among them for trade."

She lightly tapped the table with her finger and continued: "Third, I want Jago to supervise."

"Deal!"

Lyle Sutton slamd the table and nearly knocked over the pottery bowls and plates, causing a clattering sound.

Zeke Veridian quickly grabbed the rolling pottery cup.

The Old Wolf King rubbed his hands with a sly smile: "Well...carry on..."

Saying that, he dragged the Priest and witch doctor away in a hurry.

The cave suddenly fell silent, leaving only the lingering aroma of hotpot.

Luna Sutton wiggled her fair, tender feet and raised an eyebrow at Zeke Veridian: "A bet’s a bet, ti to wash feet."

"Master, I’ll go boil water."

Jago dashed off to boil water, overly eager to serve.

Zeke Veridian stood still, his erald eyes fixed on Luna Sutton’s swinging feet, his Adam’s apple moved.

"Water is here!"

Jago rushed in carrying a wooden basin, steam turning his face red.

Zeke Veridian took the basin, his defined fingers tested the water, shivering from the heat.

"Damn leopard, the water is so hot, are you washing feet or boiling pig bristles? Can’t you mix so cold water in?"

Zeke Veridian retracted his hand instantly, cursing with a cold face.

Luna Sutton chuckled: "Trying to murder your master?"

Jago’s face flushed awkwardly, realizing he had brought the hot water directly and forget to add cold water.

Just as he intended to bring cold water, he was tossed out by Zeke Veridian disdainfully.

"Clumsy, I’ll do it myself."

Zeke Veridian, with a cold face, carried the wooden basin to the spring outside the cave, scooping half a ladle of cold water into it.

He tested the temperature and found it just right before carrying the basin back into the cave.

Luna Sutton had already removed her shoes and socks, leaned back on the chair, her fair and tender feet swinging back and forth, looking with a faint smile at Zeke Veridian entering with the basin.

Zeke Veridian noticed her faint smile, his ears turned slightly red, and he gently placed the basin by her feet.

"Put your feet in."

He kneeled on one knee, his voice lower than usual.

Luna Sutton withdrew her toes barely touching the water surface: "It’s hot!"

Zeke Veridian frowned, suddenly grabbed her ankle and pushed it into the water: "Hot my foot, I tested the temperature, you’re just delicate."

She kicked up a splash, drenching Zeke Veridian’s face: "My skin is tender, not as tough as yours."

Zeke Veridian wiped the water off his face, his erald eyes narrowed dangerously: "Tough-skinned, am I?"

His skin was the fairest among the beast husbands, even paler than the old fox, yet she called him tough-skinned?

He grabbed her slender ankle, his fingertips gently teased the arch of her foot.

Luna Sutton instantly held her belly laughing uproariously, glaring at Zeke Veridian: "Haha, you rogue, tickling , I still have a baby inside."

Zeke Veridian suddenly let go, his erald eyes flashed a hint of panic, instinctively supporting Luna Sutton’s leaning waist: "...If the baby is bothered by , Corbin Crowley and Rhys Blackwood, those bastards, might team up to deal with ..."

Luna Sutton hooked his falling strand of hair with her fingertip, chuckling: "What, afraid of those two?"

Zeke Veridian snorted coldly, but his ears reddened further: "Who’s afraid of those bastards? I’m afraid you’ll fall..."

"Afraid I’ll fall?"

She suddenly grabbed Zeke Veridian’s collar, pulling him forward until their noses almost collided, "I rember soone said I was as ugly as a monster... oof."

Zeke Veridian suddenly leaned forward, using his lips to silence her incessant chatter.

Luna Sutton blinked, looking at Zeke Veridian so close she could count the fuzz on his face, completely stunned.
