"What’s this?"

Jun Ning watched as the maid took out a large, white fur-like object to dress her in, and asked, confused.

The maid smiled mysteriously, following the instructions of the gentleman downstairs, refraining from telling Jun Ning what it was, and instead handed over a big bundle of fur that resembled a fox’s fur to Jun Ning.

"You’ll know once you wear it, miss."

"Wear it?" Jun Ning thought she might have misheard sothing and muttered, "Are you sure you didn’t say it wrong? You want to wear this thing? In this hot weather, do you want to get cooked alive?"

"Miss, I’m just following the gentleman’s orders."

This item was a gift from the Crown Prince for his two kids while he was out on a case. He planned to give it to them and let them play to their hearts’ content. They are still young, don’t need to hold deanor all the ti, and can play freely.

Unexpectedly, his children haven’t played with it yet, but Jun Ning ended up playing with it first.

"I’m not wearing it, it’s too hot." Jun Ning didn’t understand the Crown Prince’s kindness at all.

The maid hurriedly said, "The gentleman said you don’t need to worry about that. He will help fan you, so you won’t feel hot."

Jun Ning said again, "But this thing looks so heavy; if I wear it, I can’t walk."

"The gentleman said if you can’t walk, miss, he will carry you."

So—

Has the Crown Prince considered all the reasons for her to refuse wearing it?

And even prepared answers for the little maid, leaving her no room to object, ultimately forcing her to wear it?

Jun Ning hesitated for a mont, but to go out, she reluctantly compromised.

She let the maid help her put on the unknown item.

After dressing her up, the maid covered her mouth and went downstairs to call the Crown Prince to co and see.

Jun Ning looked at the tail behind her, the paws that can leave plum blossom prints, and her whole body covered in white fluffy fur, suddenly realizing what she was wearing?

This is not a fox fur for keeping warm in winter.

This, this, this... is clearly a dog’s skin... also a puppy costu...

Once a person wears it, they will appear as a little puppy.

Thinking of this, Jun Ning shivered all over.

To confirm her inner guess, Jun Ning walked to the mirror in the room and looked at herself.

Seeing in the mirror, once she puts on the dog head hat on her back, she’s a cute and adorable snow-white little puppy, Jun Ning couldn’t stand properly and fell to the ground.

"What is this, really?" she murmured in rejection, "No, I don’t want to be a puppy, I want to take this off."

Jun Ning sat on the ground and started to take off the puppy costu, but at this mont, the Crown Prince pushed the door open and entered.

Seeing the snow-white puppy not far away, adorable and lovable, he couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

This little maid looked even better than he imagined in this outfit.

But what is she doing?

She seems to be taking off the puppy costu.

The Crown Prince hurried forward to lift Jun Ning, holding her hand that was about to remove the fur, saying, "Such a cute puppy, you can’t take it off."

After a pause, he added, "Moreover, if you follow to the Black Market like this, you’ll be absolutely safe, no one in black will target you, wanting your life."

This is the biggest benefit of Jun Ning being disguised as a puppy and the reason why the Crown Prince wanted her dressed like this.

Jun Ning, unwilling to wear it no matter what, rembered the black-clothed people who both wanted her life and delayed her work last night, truly detestable to the extre, she changed her mind again.

Now she’s just like a child, couldn’t do anything to them, only avoid them.

She could only compromise.

"Fine, I’ll wear it!" Jun Ning replied sullenly, restraining her hand from removing the fur.

The Crown Prince lifted Jun Ning and held her in his arms, stroking her fluffy fur, said, "Really nice, brother likes watching you. However, if only you could bark twice for brother to hear."

Upon hearing this, Jun Ning’s mouth twitched and thought to herself, "The crown prince really bears grudges. I just teased him to bark once as a dog, and he rembered it, now wanting her to repay?"

"Hmph, you wish."

Jun Ning haughtily raised her head, refusing to bark. Let’s see what you can do to ?

"Not barking, huh?" the Crown Prince said, "Then I won’t take you to the Black Market!"

Not long ago, Jun Ning also subtly ntioned that if the Crown Prince didn’t bark like a dog, she wouldn’t return with the person taking her.

The Crown Prince learned from this experience and quickly applied it to her.

"Haha..." Jun Ning laughed with barely concealed sarcasm.

She wondered if this counted as shooting herself in the foot?

"Quick, bark," urged the Crown Prince.

Jun Ning’s eyes widened like grapes, "Fine, I’ll bark!" She coughed repeatedly a few tis and started barking, "Woof! Woof! Woof!..."

The Crown Prince was finally satisfied; he smiled while carrying Jun Ning towards the Black Market.

Jun Ning thought, "Don’t be too smug; I’ll definitely make you pay it back soday, hmph."

The Crown Prince, with a martial artist’s physique, had no problem walking while carrying a seemingly small dog.

On the way back to the western market of the Black Market, he carried the little dog effortlessly, stroking the fluffy dog fur.

But he still feared sothing unfortunate would happen; though appearing relaxed moving forward, internally, he kept a tense string.

He vigilantly scanned his surroundings to ensure no danger approached.

Otherwise, he would act imdiately.

Fortunately, their disguise was very successful; this ti, no one followed them.

They arrived at the western market smoothly.

...

Nearing midnight, the night outside was as dark as ink.

After finishing a pile of morials and arranging the deploynt of various troops, Emperor Yongning, who hadn’t rested properly for days and was already exhausted, walked to the bed, took off his shoes, and lay down.

He intended to rest for a while but suddenly thought of the Crown Prince’s letter.

Delaying is impossible.

"Xiao Lizi, can you bring the letter from the Crown Prince?"

That letter has been delayed for a long ti ever since it was delivered to the Imperial Study Room, and delaying more until dawn to read it wouldn’t be too late.

Why rush now?

Thinking of this, Xiao Lizi, with a worried face, advised, "Your Majesty, you haven’t had a proper sleep for days; even an iron body can’t take it! Please rest for today; we’ll read the letter tomorrow."

Emperor Yongning glanced sideways at Xiao Lizi, "Just fetch it, why talk so much?"

Xiao Lizi had no choice but to find the letter amongst the pile of approved morials and respectfully handed it to Emperor Yongning.

Emperor Yongning rubbed his aching temples, reached for the letter, and slowly opened it.
