’’Are you guys decent,’’ Eligio pokes his head through the entrance of the caves. I grab my shirt from the corner on the floor Beau stands up, not even bothering with clothes.

’’Yeah,’’ he mutters loud enough for him to hear.

Eligio walks into the caves with a wide smile plastered on his face. he stops once he notices that Beau is naked ’’I thought we said we were decent?’’ he questions with a raised brow.

Beau shrugs and grabs his shorts from the ground. He puts it over his legs ’’So, you guys feel any different?’’

I shake my head, not sure what is supposed to have changed. ’’I don’t know. I still feel like myself,’’ I shrug ’’Maybe father was wrong?’’

I look at Beau for so confirmation. Hoping that he feels the sa. I don’t want things to change. I want us to stay the sa way we are. I really want him to be who he is and nothing else.

’’You found him,’’ Jules announces as he steps into the cave.

His hair is let down today, the expression on his face is calm and very relaxing. Like he has no worries in the world. This is how I want to be, I don’t want to be the over-thinker that I usually am. I don’t want to worry about anything right now. I am still in like my honeymoon phase but it feels like there is so much to do.

’’What happens now?’’ Beau asks him.

I don’t know what he ans by that. it doesn’t seem like anything has changed within . I still feel like my usual self—I an my vampire self.

At this point, I know this was the reason why he called Jules in the first place. Everything that has happened has not been because of strength. Now that I think about it, we did things very sloppy. What Beau needs is a plan. He has enough strength to kill Cassius.

’’What about Darrien and Jabi?’’ I ask out of the blue rembering that we didn’t do this alone last night.

I don’t know how to even react to this, I an. Darrien could’ve ruined everything for him and the kid. I would hate for things to go that way but it is a possibility. If Jules thinks this is how it is supposed to be, then I guess we have to be hopeful and see how things turn out.

’’They said they will be back today,’’ El explains to us.

’’I want you both to freshen up. Co to the field when you are done,’’ He informs , walking out of the cave instantly.

’’I think I should go talk to those Vamps. See how they could be of help to us.’’ I tell him.

He nods ’’Can it be after you see Jules. I want him to check you. Make sure everything is okay.’’

I nod and the three of us walk out of the caves and to the direction of the main quarters. We get to Beau’s room and he walks into my arms slowly. His eyes are half-closed as he wraps his arms around .

’’God, it feels so good to be yours,’’ he exclaims excitedly.

’’You’ve been mind since the beginning.’’

He nods ’’But now it feels different. I feel tied to you. Almost like we are married now. Does that even make sense?’’

I pull away from him so that I can look at him. he still has that dreamy expression plastered to his face ’’Can we still have a wedding?’’ It is just a random question because I haven’t really even thought about it but it sounds nice now that he brought it up and I realise I wouldn’t mind being married to him.

’’It feels like we already are. We are bound together for the rest of our lives,’’ he reminds

Thinking about everything that has been happening, I feel like it only brought us closer. Cassius thinks he will win this fight, but I know he will only end up being the one that suffers through it all.

After our shower, we get to the field that Jules asked us to go to and he is there, with his son. The guy I t with Rex last ti. I can’t rember his na.

They are both seated on the grass, their legs crossed over with their eyes closed. Beau walks closer to them and Jules opens one eye and with the calst voice I have ever heard ’’Sit down and ditate with us,’’ he commands us.

I have never seen a werewolf-like this man in all my life. wolves are always so aggressive. Even Beau, he has his mont. There is nothing calm about them but this man seems like he can handle anything he cos across.

We obey them and do as they do. it is easy for

to ditate. It is almost like sleeping. Vampires have sleep states. That is monts when we go into a deep slumber for a long ti. It usually happens when we don’t take enough blood.

I look at Beau one last ti before I close my eyes. He smiles at

This breathing movent is soothing. It makes

He walks over to us and his son moves next to him. We are still seated on the grass and it looks like he doesn’t intend for us to get up ’’There was the possibility that the mark could turn you.’’

He nods ’’Have you had blood today?’’

I shake my head, I realise I haven’t even craved it. I don’t know what that ans but suddenly there is a worry in my mind.

Why am I not craving blood?
