Vroom!

The deep roar of an engine echoed along the main road connecting north and south in Ming City, drawing the attention of nurous pedestrians.

"Isn’t it just a broken-down rcedes? Why’s it so loud?"

On the road, a girl driving a Porsche Cayenne turned her head to glance at the silver Phantom that overtook her, a look of disdain appearing at the corner of her mouth.

The boy in the passenger seat, decked out in luxury items, twitched his mouth and couldn’t help but remind her, "Babe, that’s not just any rcedes, that’s a rcedes AMG GT Black Series, only 55 of those in the world..."

"Add a few English letters, and it’s still a broken-down rcedes, right?"

A red light appeared ahead, and the girl said offhandedly.

"That car’s at least seven million, enough to buy four Cayennes like mine..."

"How much?"

The girl was stunned for a mont and forgot to slow down.

"Brake, hit the brake, brake!"

Seeing the rcedes AMG had already co to a stop ahead, the boy couldn’t help but repeatedly remind her.

"Ah!"

The girl snapped back to her senses and panicked, screaming while instinctively stepping hard on a pedal—except it was the gas pedal. Watching the Porsche Cayenne about to have an intimate encounter with the rcedes AMG, the boy frantically reached over and gave the wheel a sharp turn.

Just in ti, the Cayenne swerved, crossed the lane line, and ramd into the rear of a Wuling Hongguang waiting to make a left turn.

Bang!

Beep!

Amidst the clatter and shattering, the Cayenne finally stopped. Although it was inevitable that an accident occurred, the boy breathed a sigh of relief.

No matter what, hitting a Wuling Hongguang was much better than hitting that rcedes AMG...

The boy pushed open the passenger door and got out of the car, but before he could nonchalantly say, "Call the insurance," he saw the owner of the Wuling Hongguang rushing out and opening the back door.

Through the open back door was a car interior with seats removed, packed with many cardboard boxes. Under the impact, the boxes were toppling over, and so had leaks with liquid stains, emitting a rich aroma of sauce-flavored liquor into the air...

What really made the boy’s face turn green was the four big characters on the boxes: "Moutai from Guizhou."

"Crap!"

The boy turned his head, glaring fiercely at his girlfriend.

...

"Hey, isn’t that guy soone we know?"

Up ahead, Zhou Wang, who was driving the rcedes AMG, peeked his head out of the window to look. After confirming nothing happened to his car, he turned his head and saw the boy cursing loudly, causing him to pause.

After a few seconds, Zhou Wang rembered the boy was called "Lu Jin," and for a mont, he was a bit dazed.

It was really just two months, but it felt like a long ti ago.

It was kind of funny, back then Zhou Wang thought he and people like Ding Yi, Lu Jin were not in the sa world. As his vision and level improved, he realized Lu Jin and Ding Yi were not in the sa world either. As for himself now...

Sorry, hanging like a boss, ruling everything.

He turned his gaze back, just as the green light appeared, Zhou Wang stepped on the gas, and the rcedes AMG shot forward like a silver lightning bolt. All the nearby vehicles obediently waited until the rcedes AMG was a bit farther before starting to accelerate slowly.

It wasn’t long before the rcedes AMG reached the comrcial center near Tongde Square on the north side of Ming City. Zhou Wang thought for a mont, then drove into the underground parking of Yue Center across the street. He then took the elevator to the first floor.

He strolled along the snack street here, casually bought so food and drinks, then finally entered the apartnt building at Yue Center.

In modern mid-to-high-end apartnts, wings with facial recognition were often installed at the entrance, but they usually existed in na only. Especially in such duplex apartnts with an average area of just fifty or sixty square ters, as long as you asked the security for help, they typically wouldn’t ask anything and would help you open it.

But you couldn’t bla it entirely on a lack of managent because the composition of tenants in such apartnt buildings was incredibly complex, ranging from won who bought their hos to live alone, to couples renting, to mistresses being kept...

In addition, most of those attendants you see in nightclubs, bars, who do side gigs, also rent in these so-called comrcial apartnts with a bourgeois flair that ordinary folks wouldn’t consider.

Anyway... it’s chaotic.

Then, there were all kinds of small businesses like nail salons, chess, private cinemas, and spas, which were mandatory in these apartnt buildings.

There were freelancers in "Lofters" style businesses, but they were relatively more discreet...

Because the residents were mostly young people, coupled with various delivery services, couriers, even if the security wanted to check one by one, they’d find it beyond their capabilities, so they just let it slide.

It was precisely nine o’clock at night, the liveliest ti in the apartnt. After declining a girl’s flirtation in the elevator, Zhou Wang arrived on the 33rd floor, took a look around, then followed the sign to room 3308.

He leaned his ear to the door, didn’t hear any noises, and the hallway was also very quiet.

Zhou Wang hesitated a bit after taking out the key. Although Shen Yutong had given him the key, wasn’t this kind of wrong?

But then Zhou Wang relaxed, thinking, since he chose to co, what’s there to worry about...

Shen Yutong must have been ntally prepared as well; otherwise, she wouldn’t have silently sent the key over.

Being new to this kind of thing, Zhou Wang inexplicably felt an understated thrill of sneaking around. He inserted the key into the doorknob and turned it gently, with a click, the door to 3308 opened.

The compact apartnt was overall quite dim, most of the areas were not lit up, except for a bit of light at the stairway entrance on the second floor, and near the hallway, there was so tilted shadowy light.
