The loud sound of the throttle erupted on the nightti streets, and even in the Magic City, a place not lacking in supercars, the black phantom speeding by still elicited quite a few gasps of awe.
Even though it’s a relic of the past, the unique presence of the “three great sports cars” is far beyond what a regular Ferrari or Lamborghini can match.
Owning a collection of luxury sports cars, including a rcedes AMG GT, Aventador SVJ63, Ferrari 812C, and McLaren P1, Zhou Wang had every right to comnt on this.
Unfortunately, in the Magic City, where traffic laws are overly perfected, Zhou Wang had to obediently stop and wait for the traffic light, no matter how loudly the engine of the Porsche 918 Spyder roared.
“The car stops on Nanshan Road, take a few steps, the temperature of the wind you blow isn’t clear…”
Over a minute at the traffic light feels long. An obscure indie song, “Sensory Loss,” echoed from the Burster speakers while Zhou Wang lowered the car window, tapping his fingers on the glass edge, quite enjoying this mont of solitude.
But this tranquility was quickly disrupted.
“Hey handso, hello, would you mind adding on WeChat?”
Zhou Wang glanced up, seeing a well-dressed young lady, probably six to seven on the beauty scale with makeup, walking from the sidewalk onto the street, holding her phone, shy and charmingly looking at him.
Zhou Wang just politely smiled at her, then prepared to roll up the car window.
To ordinary folks, such a “goddess-level” figure was nothing special to Zhou Wang. He had experienced this scenario before, so his heart wasn’t stirred. However, before pressing the button, Zhou Wang’s mischievous side kicked in, and he paused his action.
“If I told you this car is rented, would you still want to add on WeChat?”
He looked at the girl in front of him.
The girl paused, a slyness flickered in her eyes, and then she nodded with a smile, “Yes, why not?”
“Oh?”
Zhou Wang squinted, sensing sothing, then chuckled, “How did you figure that out?”
“If it were a rented car, you wouldn’t casually leave the cold drink on the center console like that. You’d pick a safer spot, since spilling it might cost you a lot,”
The girl glanced at the spot by Zhou Wang’s right hand, then confidently smiled and said, “Also, I may not know the brand of your clothes, but your aura suits this sports car, so I don’t think this car is rented…”
Zhou Wang was a bit surprised, scanning the girl once again, “What’s your occupation?”
“I’m a senior this year, at Magic City Visual Art College…”
“No need to go into detail, so you haven’t worked yet, right?”
The girl’s spirit was lifted, intending to introduce herself more thoroughly, but Zhou Wang quickly interrupted her, forcing her to nod.
“Yes, I’m still a student.”
“If you’re interested, you can contact this number.”
Zhou Wang bent down to rummage through, soon finding Lin Ran’s business card and handed it to the girl.
Suddenly reminded, due to Wangzhou Group’s establishnt, Xu Wenqian and Lin Ran had been recruiting extensively these last few days. Observant and with respectable looks, this girl’s sharpness really fit the front-desk role.
Upon receiving the card, the girl was secretly pleased, as the man in front not only had wealth but also looked handso, perfectly eting her criteria for a partner. Yet, upon seeing the card, she was a bit stunned.
Trying to raise her head to ask, Zhou Wang had already shut the window. As the green light appeared, the Porsche 918 roared into acceleration and sped away.
“Wangzhou Group? What, I’ve never heard of it…”
The girl helplessly lowered her head, muttered after glancing at the card again.

After turning two more corners, the Porsche 918 Spyder and the rcedes business vehicle tailing it slowly turned into the five-story building, guided by security personnel, and parked along the internal street.
The door opened, and an alert security guard stepped forward to help shield Zhou Wang from the roof as he exited the car. The deputy manager of the club’s Public Relations Departnt, Ma Zhiyuan, was already waiting there.
“Good evening, Mr. Zhou!”
Seeing Zhou Wang, Ma Zhiyuan quickly greeted him with a respectful smile.
“Old Ma, haven’t seen you in a while…”
“Apologies, Mr. Zhou, the last ti you visited the club, I happened to be in Peng City reporting my duties. I hope there was nothing unsatisfactory for you?”
During Zhou Wang’s last visit, he was attended to by Manager Zhu, who was in charge of the SPA center. Though Old Ma was only the deputy manager of Public Relations and apparently held a lower position than Old Zhu, he was in fact the real day-to-day manager of the Building No.9 Club, a confidant of the owner behind the scenes.
Zhou Wang understood this well, thus could grasp why Old Ma was asking him like that.
So Zhou Wang smiled and patted his shoulder, “Everything was great, Manager Zhu took very good care of .”
“That’s good, Old Zhu is nice, though sotis he can be a bit crude in his mannerisms. I heard there were so unpleasant incidents last ti, concerned he might have offended you unknowingly…”
From Old Ma’s cheerful words, Zhou Wang sensed other implications, yet he didn’t wish to ddle in such internal power struggles, so he simply smiled.
“No major issues.”
