The score was finally set at 99 to 75.
A 24-point difference.
LeBron Jas’ first challenge of the new season with Su Wan still ended in a devastating defeat.
Right after the ga ended, he lowered his head and hurriedly left the court, heading towards the players’ tunnel.
In the end, Su Wan scored 25 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, made 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks, while LeBron finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, without much difference between them.
But everyone knew that although it didn’t look like there was a gap, the gap was huge.
Su Wan only had 6 free throws in the entire ga, while LeBron had more than three tis that many. Despite this, he only scored one point more than Su Wan.
Post-ga interview:
"Su Wan, after all, is the Finals MVP, while LeBron doesn’t even know what the playoffs are now. You can’t expect sparks to fly between them, it’s not realistic," Rick Carlisle said about Su Wan and LeBron’s "arch-rival" image in dia reports;
"His shooting percentage was under 40%, wasn’t it? Actually, restricting him isn’t difficult, I haven’t even shown my best defensive state today," Artest comnted humbly on LeBron’s performance tonight, stating "LeBron is not a real scorer."
"I think Cleveland should be thankful that the sa thing didn’t happen at the end of the season," Su Wan ntioned after knocking the Cavaliers out of the top eight in the Eastern Conference again.
"Actually, the referees could have just worn the Cavaliers’ jerseys and made it 8 against 5, that might have been more (threatening)," Su Wan remarked on LeBron’s 22 free throws throughout the ga.
"Did I block him that many tis? I didn’t even know, I was just completely focused on the ga...", Su Wan said upon hearing he had blocked Zhu Fangyu 4 tis in the ga.
"No no no, I won’t lose interest because of this. In fact, I look forward to our next encounter with the Cavaliers because it always reminds of being abandoned by the team. This is my driving force to keep moving forward. Thanks to Cleveland, thanks to the Cavaliers, and most importantly, thanks to LeBron. You know, if I had stayed with the Cavaliers, then I would have to keep looking after that immature high school kid, I can’t beco the next Magic," Su Wan indicated he would never lose interest in gas with the Cavaliers.
"What do you think of Jose’s performance tonight? I rember, he made 3 three-point shots and got 4 assists, great, he t the coach’s expectations. But you should ask the Cavaliers about this, ask them why people like and Jose perform better away from LeBron. Jose sure won’t be the last," Su Wan evaluated Calderon’s performance tonight.
At the sa ti, LeBron Jas sat dumbfounded in the locker room, surrounded by microphones and caras, making him feel like he was being publicly executed.
At that mont, his heart was like dead ashes.
LeBron had never thought that his second confrontation with Su Wan would turn into such another dismal defeat.
Haven’t I beco stronger?
Weren’t the Cavaliers once on top of the Eastern Conference?
Why, why is it still a crushing defeat?
His gaze inadvertently caught Zhu Fangyu walking past behind the reporters.
Yes, because of this bitch!
If it weren’t for his sudden disappearance in form, how could the strong start of the Cavaliers have been disrupted?
This Huaxia man, he really deserves to die!
Why am I the one sitting here suffering now when it’s clearly he who brought the Cavaliers to this pass, and yet no one questions him?
"LeBron, what do you think is the reason the Cavaliers lost to the Pacers by a large margin again?"
"You know, basketball has always been a team ga, they just did much better than us tonight. Ron’s defense is unbelievable, I’ve never seen soone so strong yet move so fast! Jermaine is the best forward in the league this season, just look at his domination over the basket, Boris proved why he is the ’French Magician,’ and Jose showcased his precise three-point shooting. They each are phenonal, that’s the key to why they beat us by a large margin!" LeBron said with admiration, as if he should have been one of them...
A reporter reminded LeBron, "Jose Calderon was a player for the Cavaliers last season, he was traded to the Pacers and has perford better."
This reporter, having just finished interviewing Su Wan, had a question suggested by Su Wan, which he thought was a good one:
Why did Calderon only sit on the cold bench in the Cavaliers but beco a "ga changer" in the Pacers?
But LeBron pretended not to understand and directly passed the question to the managent, "You should ask Dan, not !"
"Do you still think your style of play is correct?" This bold question ca from an Indiana reporter.
LeBron’s face was filled with anger, "No matter how many tis I’ve lost, I’ll still stick to my style of play. That’s who I am. I ca out of Akron on my own efforts, not by anyone’s guidance!"
Fxxk!
He wanted to show his toughness, but after saying this, he suddenly broke down and signaled the PR manager at the sidelines to dismiss soone.
By the ti he returned to the bus, all the Cavaliers mbers were already seated, including Zhu Fangyu.
LeBron’s eyes fell on this idiot who had shot 1 out of 8 tonight and been blocked by Su Wan four tis. All sorts of curses ca to his mind, but eventually, he didn’t say them. Instead, he ntally sentenced Zhu Fangyu to "death" and would tell Mike Brown tomorrow to take Zhu out of the starting lineup.
He had completely lost patience with Zhu Fangyu.
Damn it...
Why do these Huaxia people always find ways to humiliate ?
McGinnis saw LeBron’s look and a smile appeared on his lips, finally, a chance for revenge on Zhu Fangyu.
Damn rookie, this is the price for ssing with an old bird!
Due to the intense physical toll of the ga on the players, many who had poor physical fitness would even eat energy bars during breaks to recover.
After the ga, on the plane back, al boxes were usually prepared for the players who needed them.
Zhu Fangyu loved "airplane als."
But today, just as he had picked up his share, he saw McGinnis walking toward him with a cold smirk, cursing him outright. From his tone, Zhu knew it wasn’t anything good. Just as Zhu was about to turn his head to ask the translator what the jerk had said, McGinnis had already grabbed his al box.
Okay, no need for a translator, Zhu Fangyu understood the ssage.
"Put the al box down, that’s mine. If you want to eat, go get your own!" Zhu Fangyu stood up swiftly, clearly stating his stance.
Having seen Su Wan’s tough approach to LeBron on the court, he no longer had any reservations.
To deal with these big black guys, you have to be even more assertive.
Now it was McGinnis’s turn to look towards the translator.
When he heard Zhu Fangyu telling him to fetch his own al,
He sneered, "Eat a al box after playing so terribly? Rookie, you should really reflect on yourself."
After saying that, he turned with the al box and walked away.
Zhu Fangyu looked at LeBron and noticed that he had just glanced their way briefly before quickly looking away, humorously nodding his head. Now he fully understood that LeBron was just a no-good guy, and he had to rely on himself to uphold his dignity.
And at that mont, fury surged within him, three feet high.
He rembered that day at dinner, Su Wan said he had settled these Brother Ni guys with just one sentence.
So why now, after he had shown his assertiveness, was McGinnis still so relentless?
Was it really because they thought he was easy to bully?
Was it really because they thought he had no temper?
Feeling underestimated, Zhu Fangyu lost all his caution and directly grabbed McGinnis’s shoulder, saying coldly:
"Put the al box down!"
Though McGinnis didn’t have a temper like Arenas, being grabbed by a rookie in front of so many people still provoked his anger:
"I’m not allowing you to eat, what can you do about it?"
