Jackson had so impressive stats with the Hawks and wanted to test the waters for a big contract in free agency, but things didn’t go as expected.

But just because he faced so setbacks doesn’t an his desire for a big contract was extinguished.

Next season was his contract year, and he certainly wasn’t content with being a substitute.

Su Wan’s carefree attitude, on the other hand, made Stephen Jackson feel a bit troubled, and he really wanted to say sothing:

"Don’t you want to try to keep around?"

Or is it that, our relationship isn’t there yet?

Sotis, people can be overdramatic.

Su Wan had no idea that Stephen Jackson was so sensitive; his best relationships in the team were with Artest, then Reggie Miller, followed by little O’Neal and Tinsley. He was neither particularly close nor distant with Stephen Jackson, so he didn’t quite understand his personality.

Otherwise, he...

wouldn’t have ended up sobbing with Stephen Jackson.

The one leaving is you, should I pretend to be reluctant just for your sake?

A blessing is the greatest form of respect.

After another brief chat with Reggie Miller, he was ready to leave early.

Reggie Miller said, "Will you be in Indiana in August? I’m hosting a retirent party; you should co by."

Su Wan nodded, "If I’m free, definitely."

When he returned to the underground parking lot, Su Wan saw a woman waiting there. At first, he thought the woman was executing a "master’s" ordeal and wondered if he should avoid her. But as he approached, he realized she was the woman who had been with Herbert.

"The big boss told to go with you." The woman’s expression was straightforward and clear, and she even pulled up her already short skirt a bit.

You can see it now.

It really is the master’s ordeal.

It’s no wonder Herbert could be the big boss.

He just glanced once, and this guy had already sent over his female companion.

Su Wan said, "Go back and tell your boss, I prefer this over you."

He rubbed his fingers together.

The woman wasn’t upset. She nodded with a smiling face, her attitude far more proper than so on certain websites who clearly sell themselves yet act so virtuous.

No wonder she could mingle in high society!

Attitude is everything.

On June 25th, the NBA’s annual draft day arrived.

On the sa day, accompanied by Bill Duffy, Su Wan arrived in Beaverton, Oregon.

Nike’s data analyst was there to test his physical data.

Ideally, Nike’s personnel with their equipnt should have co to Indiana to et Su Wan, but Nike’s representatives, knowing that Su Wan had never visited Nike’s headquarters, eagerly invited him to take a tour. They wanted Su Wan to forge a stronger cultural connection with their company.

After all, with Su Wan’s current appeal, he could beco one of the faces of Nike, supporting the brand into the next decade alongside LeBron and Kobe.

This was also the most crucial decade.

If everything went smoothly, in ten years, they would completely push out Adidas and dominate the NAB sneaker market alone.

After coming out of the airport, Nike’s people were already waiting, and Su Wan and Bill Duffy got into the car they’d arranged. They soon arrived at Nike’s headquarters:

The 400-acre Beaverton campus.

This wasn’t just where the Nike story began,

but also where Nike’s sports research lab, design studio, product developnt facilities, and various institutes were located.

Su Wan toured the different departnts with Nike’s representative, and he had to admit, they were a giant in the sneaker industry for a reason— they used all kinds of technologies to research sneakers.

It would be hard for these shoes to be anything but high quality!

The gap with dostic shoe brands was indeed vast.

After so rest, Su Wan officially began the data collection in the afternoon.

After he reviewed the final data, he reminded the data collector who had been with him: "The friction force these shoes need to withstand must be much higher than this value!"

"Ah?" The data collector was taken aback for a mont and unconsciously asked, "Why?"

"Have you not seen my news?" Su Wan retorted.

The data collector thought of sothing, "The zone?"

Su Wan nodded, about to speak, when a dominating voice ca from behind. Just by the tone, you could tell this person was exceptionally assertive in his actions:

"So you can really enter ’The zone’? Interesting, how about a bullfight with , kid? Let see your ’The zone’!"

Su Wan turned to look:

A rugged, experienced brown face.

Most notably, his bald head and those shiny brown eyes.

His broad fra made him exude an overwhelming presence, like a born emperor.

"The God of Basketball"...

Michael Jordan!

"You know who I am, right?" Jordan approached with a commanding tone.

Su Wan wasn’t sure if this was targeted at him, after all, current Jordan was "Boss Qiao," always commanding others, and it was normal for him to sound harsh, but Su Wan didn’t see any reason to indulge him:

"Of course, the retired uncle who never beat Larry Bird in the playoffs throughout his career."
