Morning ca fast, and Abrielle was in higher spirits today, determined to enjoy her day. After getting ready for the day, she went to the EasyBite restaurant.

"Here are our specials, enjoy." Grace chid with a smile. She was in a better mood, and after last night, she had a strange dream. Hazel appeared before her for the first ti. Her smile was soft, and she held Grace’s hand

"I’m in a good place, Mum." Her voice echoed. She broke down and watched her daughter walk away on an empty path. At the end of the road, she turned around and smiled.

"I love you, mummy," she waved at her mother, then her appearance changed. Her auburn hair turned ginger, her face was a blur but Grace knew it was her daughter.

"I’m sorry Hazel...." She cried falling on her knees. Her daughter, whose appearance had changed, laughed. "I know and I love you. The others also love you." She chid then moved forward at the end of the road was a tall man with long raven black hair

She could not see their faces clearly but understood the ssage. Her daughter was happy and she has moved on.

"Mummy!!!" She heard a young boy’s voice call her. She turned around, and her son, Maxwell, ran straight into her arms with Tricia following behind with a smile.

That’s right, she might have lost one daughter, but she still had a family. It was finally ti she moved on.

"They are perfect." The ginger lady chid, drawing Grace back to the present. She scooped a spoon for her husband who readily opened his mouth. Grace was stunned a suddenly realised it

She laughed, then walked away. She must be losing her mind. There was no way that girl was her Hazel.

In the kitchen, her eyes fell on an old family portrait of 5. "Please watch over her." She prayed, staring at her late husband.

She still rembered the day he passed away. He had left for work early that morning after having an argunt with his eldest daughter, Hazel, who had refused to see him that morning.

It was winter break so the children were at the store helping with what they could. Hazel was diligently servicing custors, avoiding speaking with her because she didn’t want to talk about her father.

She pretended to be mad, but when the phone rang and it was her father’s number, she was the first to reach it.

The phone slipped out of her hand, and she fell to her knees, crying. It was a call from the hospital. Her father had died in a car accident. He missed the red light

Which was strange because he had never had a traffic violation ticket. "It’s my fault," she cried, blaming herself. If he wasn’t upset he wouldn’t have died

From that day, she decided to take on responsibilities that weren’t hers. She grew up overnight and struggled to take on extra jobs. She even wanted to drop out of school.

Her husband was the main support of the family, although her store earned well but Hazel University tuition was a heavy expense combined with the extra classes the others were taking.

Grace had fought against the decision, and by sheer luck, Hazel discovered writing. It was their turning point. Grace always felt guilty that she wasn’t a good mother.

The tears fell...she wiped them off. She promised herself not to cry again, but here she was crying out her heart.

Abrielle’s mood improved after leaving the store. Today she had decided to hire a car since they had a lot of cash. So of Cedric’s fortune was converted into money

She wanted to show him how to drive but dared not give him the steering wheel. It was a fun ride to their next destination.

Cedric stepped out of the car. His eyes were curiously observing their surroundings. "Where are we?" Cedric asked her, curious. Abrielle giggled then tugged his hand toward the ticket booth.

"You will find out soon." She chid. They got inside after checking through security. The first thing that ca to Cedric’s mind was chaos.

There were people all over the place. It seed worse than a marketplace. Today Abrielle had made sure to wear him a face cap and mask. She had to protect him from those eyes.

"Is this a trade fair?" Cedric curiously asked. From the tents and display, it looked similar to when trade fairs co to Vitalis.

"Close but this is the amusent park. We will be spending all day here." She chid excitedly, her mind thinking of which ride to try on first.

"Do you normally co here?" He asked curiously as Abrielle was pulling him towards a sweet stand. It was close to noon and it wasn’t a bad ti for ice cream

Abrielle’s eyes were filled with stars as she stared at the ice truck. "With my friend but I have never been here with my boyfriend." She was ready to answer before getting in line to get ice cream. It was the weekend so the park was filled.

His curiosity piqued, "Your boyfriend never agreed..." Cedric asked, a strange taste in his mouth as he thought about her potential past boyfriend.

His mind drifted to that Lucian look-alike. Cedric couldn’t help but wonder if it was Lucian’s reincarnation.

He thought, drifting off, thinking about this world. Unlike his tiline, he could sense mana in the air, but this world was completely different. There wasn’t any mana in the environnt.

It was like magic didn’t exist. Why was that?

"Yeah, you will love it. I didn’t know what flavour you would prefer, so I got 3 random scoops." She said, it was the sa order she had gotten herself..

She took a taste of her ice cream and instantly lted. Perfection in one word. "By the way, I never ca with my boyfriend because I didn’t have one..." She finally answered the question with an awkward smile. They were strolling through the busy path watching people having fun.

Cedric suddenly bent over, his nose brushing against hers. She was startled and backed away. "So that ans I am the only person you have been with." He pointed out. Her face flushed, she averted her face bashfully.

"Let’s check the haunted house first." She changed the topic then fled from him. She was racing. She could not face him, it was a bit embarrassing. Cedric chuckled and leisurely caught up with her. He grabbed her hand. "I am glad to be your first and only." He bead with a blinding smile.
