Everyone was stunned by the appearance of the oracle. She was a divine being who stayed isolated in the realm between realms monitoring fates. Only she had the power to change fate at will.

Cassius signed, their plan was to delay Cedric’s sentence until the oracle arrived. He was glad Raziel made it on ti. Cassius waved his hand over Abrielle’s corpse and it vanished. Its use was over and it was better no one saw such a heartbreaking scene

"Maledicta." Nyxoria blurted. How could it be Maledicta? Maledicta was a goddess whose beauty was compared to no goddess.

A goddess mistaken to be Nyxoria’s sister because of her grace. Although she wasn’t Thyros’s daughter, she was treated with equal grace. After all, not only was she the goddess of beauty, she was also the goddess of happiness.

"Who else would it be aside from her?" Raziel sneered, his eyes falling on the slender figure who was seated in the back. Trying to avoid attention, but her grace always outshines everyone, including Elysia herself.

Maledicta laughed at the allegations, her fingers secretly curling in her fist. This was all the useless girls’ fault. She gracefully stood

"I know you hate but I didn’t do any of those things." She said with a soft smile that could smite any man. With forest green eyes and chestnut hair that reminds you of nature.

Maledicta’s appearance literally stole breath. Raziel smiled, his grip tightened. He was reminding himself not to lash out at this double-edged sword in the presence of Elysia.

"You were the one who abandoned , Raziel, for Elysia. Now you want to take what I have left, " Maledicta sneered, still keeping up the pitiful look. Maledicta was ant to be Raziel’s soul bride. They practically grew up together, and Raziel was very kind to her.

Everyone knew if Raziel was to feel a spark, it would be her, even Maledicta thought so. Not every god is blessed with a soul mate, and it might take forever, so most of them choose a partner.

She didn’t have a soul mate and neither did Raziel. Maledicta was the goddess of beauty and happiness, the only one deed worthy to be the next queen of Elaris.

When the match was made, Raziel didn’t oppose either. She thought it was love

But everything fell apart the day Raziel saw Elysia, she was the first to notice. He couldn’t look away from her. She lived in her delusion at first until the day he ca before the court to nullify their engagent and give up his birthright.

The heiress of Netheralis was his soul mate. "You speak highly, forgetting the Oracle is with us, Maledicta." Raziel snorted at her. Maledicta smirked.

" I never wrote in the book of fate, this has always been Cedric’s fate. If Cedric had listened and stayed in Netheralis none of this would have happened." She half-admitted to the cri but played it off.

"Is that really the case, was Elysia ant to bear him?" Raziel laughed then he whispered to Elysia’s ears. She nodded subtly before proceeding to take a seat. Elysia was clueless about what was happening.

She only ca along to see Cedric one ti later. Her heart ached knowing this would have been avoided if she had insisted on keeping him and Abrielle apart.

A portal appeared and a soul stepped out. Raziel smirked at Maledicta whose face had gone grim. "You seem to have forgotten that I have control over all dead souls as the king of Netheralis."

Cedric’s eyes narrowed on the soul of Callista. Her gaze t Cedric and startled, rembering her last mont, she stumbled on the ground, barely able to hold his gaze...

"Narrate to the court what you did?" He instructed Callista. She started narrating the story of how she was approached by a hooded lady, and everything she did under the lady’s instructions.

The ladies of the moon

The attempt on Abrielle’s and Hazel’s lives

The final battle where Lucian was mysteriously swapped.

"She said she was the priestess of the ladies of the moon," Callista said finally. The allegations grew absurd. Manipulating people using a system and ti-travelling.

"A re mortal priest can’t travel between ti and worlds," Raziel stated. It was obvious that only soone with divine powers could. Not just any divine being, a high-ranking one.

Avelora’s eyes fell on Maledicta. If Raziel’s claims were right Maledicta was the one who caused Elysia to lose her mory. She was the one who humiliated him and her intentions were clear.

It was her revenge against the man who chose another. "Child, can you point out your Saviour?" She asked Callista, addressing the person as her ’ Saviour’

Callista nodded, she was shaking before the gods. She never imagined her life would take such a turn. Maybe she shouldn’t have chased revenge but this was her fate.

Fate can’t be easily changed unless through divine intervention. "Her face was covered, but her sweet voice, I rembered her. The one who always instructed and told the truth...."

"She told if I killed Abrielle, my fate would change," Callista said, pointing at Maledicta. She rembered the voice clearly.

"I never imagined the high priest of the ladies of the moon was the sa goddess we worship." Gasps filled the room. There was no denying it. Callista was a dead soul, she could not lie.

There was no need to lie when your life was over. All she could do was look into the future.

Maledicta’s nails dug into her palm. All she could say. "It is a lie." But that simple word could not prove anything.

"That is all you can leave now," Raziel instructed, a portal opened dragging Callista’s soul to Netheralis.

Raziel nodded at the Oracle, she sighed and then stepped forward. "Years ago Maledicta had cried to because of an injustice after a failed attempt on Elysia’s life. I had refused to help her. What I didn’t expect was that her divine intervention changed the prophecy. Her attempt was just for selfish validation..."

"Elysia betraying Raziel was to prove that soul mates aren’t perfect. The assassination attempt on Elysia was out of spite to kill Elysia but she never expected Elysia to lose her mory ...."

"That’s when the second part of her plan started to brew..."

"She sent bounty hunters after Elysia just to make sure she ended up with the mortal king Kaiden. Cedric’s birth was planned by her but she wasn’t satisfied. Her resentnt wasn’t enough."

The oracle started to explain to everyone that a resentful woman changed fate and made sure it went that way. Elysia listened to this story completely stunned.

A soul mate was sothing very precious between the gods because of its rarity. It was one thing Maledicta hated with her entire soul because of sothing as fickle as a soul mate, she lost the power, and once a man ant to be hers.

From the day she was born, Maledicta was given the goddess of beauty, not because she was the fairest divine being, but because she was seen to be of a good heart. A goddess who sacrificed for the mortal realm

Maledicta and Nyxoria were pretty close, and because of that, she naturally grew close to Raziel.

Raziel, by heart, seed to be a caring person; he knew one day Thyros might grow tired of being king, and he was the next in line. From birth, he was raised carrying such responsibilities.

His kindest and soft smile made her think he loved her, so when he ca that day before the court and made his declaration..

Maledicta, heartbroken and humiliated, ran after him. "Don’t you love ?" She asked on her knees, tears streaming down her face..

Raziel’s gaze flickered for a mont before it grew soft. He squatted before her, his thumb wiping her tears. "I grew up knowing my entire life was before , even when a bride was chosen, I accepted it and decided to cherish you the best I could, but Maledicta, did I ever say I loved you...."

Her head bobbed up. She t his mismatched gaze. A lump ford in her throat then her lips trembled. "I assud..." Indeed, he never said those words. She grabbed her arm trying to stop the trembling.

"I am sorry, but I love Elysia." Those were the final bows. She could not look at him. He tucked in a lock of her hair.

"I know you always wanted the throne. I left it. You are beautiful and can charm any god. Maximus would treat you well. " He said then stood up.

"I hope you forgive , but this is better than lying to you for an eternity " his presence disappeared, and she broke down.

"I wanted the throne because of you." Maledicta whimpered. He might not have loved her, but she did. A part of her died that day...

Maledicta indeed tried to chase the crown, only for the second prince to go mad because of ’ love ’. Her resentnt for that word grew. Love and soulmate, what a joke.

She planned everything to take away Raziel’s happiness by killing Elysia, but failed. To finish the job she secretly read the book of fate and discovered the second part of the prophecy.

Her attempted murder had changed the course of Elysia’s fate.

She hadn’t written Cedric’s birth; it was prophesied, everything was written down to him killing Abrielle, his tragic fate, because his birth was a sin.

She thought fate was by her side. That’s when she decided to make sure things happened as written...her grand revenge.
