They stayed in each other’s embrace, basking in the afterglow."It was the longest war ever. I hated being away." His voice seed distant. Her ear was pressed against his chest listening to his periodic beats while hers were in chaos. He wasn’t exhausted in the slightest and could go on for longer

"We should be glad the war is over now. But it wasn’t your longest war, it was barely 2 months," she chid at him. A soft smile was on her lips. Abrielle felt a bit of pride in her heart knowing she had helped him. Not only did she help facilitate the war coming to an end faster, but she also won the Flaworth family to their side.

She knew Cedric was going to start the battle for the throne any ti soon, having another major family on his side would increase his advantage.

"That’s true but this was the first war I went to knowing soone was waiting for . I never understood why Eris and Rudeus were restless at war until this ti. For the first ti, it felt like I had a ho to go back to." He said, there was a pause like they both sank into their thoughts.

Her strawberry mixed with rose scent surrounded him. It felt like ho, it was the scent of his ho, sothing he hadn’t felt since birth.

He saw her as his ho. Abrielle was quiet. She didn’t know if this would last forever. Maybe she found a new ho here. It sounded sweet, but she knew things were about to go in flas soon, and this ho might burn along with it. She closed her eyes; it was better not to say a thing. She did not want to ruin the mont.

Cedric sensed her hesitation, "Did you make any friends while I was gone?" He asked, sothing had been bothering him. Although it felt ridiculous, his gut feeling told him his reckless wife was involved in the war more than it ets the eye.

From Evelyn’s report, Abrielle suddenly beca close friends with Fiona, and they exchanged letters frequently. The sa Fiona who suddenly had the urge to investigate her in-laws and ended up finding a secret. It felt too much of a coincidence.

"I did make a few more friends, nothing special. Unlike you, I can make friends." She teased him. He chuckled at her taunt. .

She was hiding sothing he knew. Abrielle had a lot of secrets, but he was fine with it. As soon as she was safe, he would wait for when she trusted him enough to open up. No matter what it was, it wouldn’t change a thing.

"We have to get ready for the banquet. It’s close to evening already." Cedric ntioned. Abrielle whined, then held him closer, burying her face in his chest.

She was just like a little kitten talking about Kitten, Cedric was reminded of that annoying cat that loved clinging to his wife.

Yuki, who was peacefully taking a random nap on Abrielle’s bed, sneezed, having no idea he was about to be tossed out of the room again because his master’s husband was back. Poor cat.

Yuki’s eyes narrowed dangerously thinking of who was cursing him right now.

"Can we just not go? I feel like just staying in bed all night." Abrielle whined, her cheeks puffed. She didn’t mind the fact that he was still in her; secretly, she wanted more, but was too shy to admit it.

Cedric flipped over her, his face was super close to her as if he was giving a better view of that handso face. He had the type of face that could pull both genders without an issue.

He was a lucky bastard. She thought bitterly about being jealous of her own husband. Abrielle was pretty but Cedric had better looks. Imagine when your husband was more seductive than you. It was a bit infuriating.

"Well, we can stay longer because I am far from satisfied. If we do that you won’t be able to walk to the banquet. We have to go, Abrielle. Unfortunately." He added then slid out of her. She felt so hollow imdiately. Cedric sat on the bed with his back against her.

His tattoo marks were all visible to her view, although she didn’t appreciate it at the mont. "This is annoying." She grunted and then kicked him off the bed.

He made her hungry for sex and wanted to leave her unsatisfied because of a banquet. She didn’t want to go to that banquet. Abrielle had a feeling that sothing would happen there.

He almost fell off, he was amused by her rage and only clicked his tongue. "I will be in the bath house. You are free to join if you want." .

She pouted rolling in the sheets. "In your dreams, Prince Cedric Von Drakkar." She sneered at him. His footsteps drew distance until the door closed behind him. Abrielle rolled over and then stared at the ceiling. "He suspects . " She whispered.

The sun has already set and the Moon is out in the sky. A tall figure stood in the night next to a carriage. Cedric was speaking to Elias, who wasn’t dressed in formal attire. He looked like the noble he was; his dark blue hair was slicked backwards, and a sword was secured by his side.

Soft clicking heels caught his attention, and a wave of strawberries hit him. Cedric paused then turned around. His gaze went soft. She was dressed in blue, matching his dark blue outfit. She looked like the stars were glittering around her with the jewels on her dress, catching the faint lights.

Abrielle stopped a few steps from him with a bright smile on her face. "I know I look gorgeous, you can close your mouth now." She teased him, then walked by.

Cedric turned, then grabbed his wrist. Their eyes t, "I am now rethinking this banquet, maybe we can just stay indoors." He suggested, his voice filled with possessiveness. She scoffed at him

"It is too late, I have already gone through dressing up. Let’s get going, they are awaiting our presence." She stated, then shrugged him off. She elegantly walked away heading to the carriage.

Cedric followed behind his wife, leaving Elias and Evelyn, who were dressed up for the party. "I never knew you knew how to dress up." Elias teased her. Evelyn crossed her arms annoyed by his presence. "A simple you look beautiful Evelyn would have been better. " She clicked her tongue at him.

The victory banquet was a grand event, and Evelyn was also invited.
