Ti froze, and everyone seed to be lost for words to reply. Abrielle matched towards them, her hands were clenched to her side. "Did sothing catch your tongue? Why didn’t you tell ? You told the maid over . It is my health and not theirs." She demanded.

Madam Jocelyn, the physician nervously glanced at Evelyn. She didn’t know how to handle the situation. She could not afford to get the princess stressed out.

"I am sorry my conduct has affected you negatively but I did it with your best interest in mind. I didn’t want your ntal health to be impacted by news which would retard your recovery." Madam Jocelyn justified her actions.

That’s right, she was seen as the fragile princess; after all, she had suffered a miscarriage a month back. Fear slowly crept into her heart. Was Cedric going to get rid of her because of her inability to carry a pregnancy?

50 percent was a lot. "I understand," Abrielle answered, sounding very heartbroken. Her pain could be felt in her words.

"Just a reminder, it doesn’t an you can’t carry a pregnancy at all but if you are to conceive again. You would have to be on bed rest at least during the 1st and 2nd trister just to be safe." Jocelyn said Abrielle guessed she was hoping to get her hopes up

Abrielle understood the terms, she was all alone in this world. All she did was write a book. She didn’t deserve all this.

The princess didn’t reply to the physician and walked past her, puzzling everyone. "Are you heading to your room, Princess Abrielle?" Evelyn enquired, she was extrely concerned about the princess.

"No, I need to take a walk," Abrielle replied then continued walking away.

"Sorry, but I have to ensure she is safe." Evelyn apologized to the physician and followed after Abrielle. She understood her lady didn’t know how to handle things. Abrielle’s lonely back broke her heart into a hundred pieces.

Abrielle felt like she needed so air, so she headed down the stairs and walked in the direction of the back door. Evelyn was greatly disturbed by this. She rushed down to stop her.

"It is cold, I don’t think it is safe to wander out in the cold." She tried to reason with Abrielle. The princess shook her head. "I need so air, and it was suggested I go on strolls," Abrielle said, then continued heading out of the castle.

She was being followed behind but she didn’t care and continued following the sound of the waves. With so difficulties, she arrived at the beach. It was cold, but Abrielle couldn’t care less at the mont.

The beach was close to the castle just beneath a cliff. She had a strong urge to pull off her shoes and walk in the sand. She could not do that because the sand was covered with snow.

She released a tried breath that imdiately turned into mist. She could not have a single private ti. Did they think she was trying to kill herself?

She sat down on the cold snow and watched the waves crash against the shore. It was a simple but breathtaking sight.

Her heart felt like it was being squeezed. She was so tempted to cry but she refused to let the tears pour. She was not going to cry.

She was stronger than that; no matter how hard it got, she was going to beat her fate and survive, that was for sure.

The salty sea breeze blew through her hair, it gave her a sense of semblance. Soft footsteps approached her. It was Zoltana. The maid’s legs were sinking in the snow, leaving footprints.

"You should not stay too long in the cold, your highness. It will only deteriorate your health." The maid softly inford her, standing a few feet away. Abrielle buried her face in her arms. She was exhausted, ntally and physically. If what she had to sacrifice for her freedom was her womb, it was a burden she was going to bear.

Ti was like an illusion. Before everyone knew it,. The cold winter was over, and the Kingdom survived the famine that threatened Darconia.

Cedric was able to accomplish his task; Abrielle knew he was going to arrive in 2 weeks with her family. She wondered how he was going to take the rumours.

Those noble ladies never failed to run their mouths over nothing. Abrielle didn’t understand Alfonso’s intentions and it seed he genuinely wanted to help her. The past few weeks he was the only one she saw outside the castle when he dropped by to deliver the herbs used for her treatnt.

She didn’t bother convincing him to stop visiting; she knew he just loved getting on her nerves.

The gates of the seaside castle open. The castle’s estate was blooming with more colours, the ice was almost completely gone and the withered trees were now covered with leaves.

A group of horsen rode straight to the main entrance; all the patrolling knights were stunned at their arrival as everyone was expecting them to arrive at least 2 weeks just before the spring festival.

The leader, dressed in all black with his hair tied in a ssy bun, got down from his horse as soon as he got to the entrance. Elias, who had heard of their early arrival from the city gates, rushed to the grand entrance to welco the prince.

He knew Cedric would be returning early after getting whispers of the letter the prince sent to the king barely two weeks ago but not this early. "Welco back your highness," Elias welcod him.

Cedric’s eyes gave him a fleeting glance as he walked past his closest aide and strongest knight. "Where is she?" He simply asked heading straight into the castle.

Elias ran after him; Abrielle’s mood has been unpredictable lately, ever since the day she discovered the damage the poison did to her body. He knew a fight was likely going to occur between the couple, which would do more harm to their relationship than good.

"She is in the garden, having tea," Elias said Cedric didn’t even wait for further explanation when he stord away. He needed to see her, the face of the infamous unfaithful wife.

Taking long strides, he soon arrived at the garden behind the castle; although the plants were now green, the flowers were yet to bloom.

He spotted her out in the gazebo, her back was against the entrance. Cedric stopped once he saw her, all his earlier anger disappearing as soon as he saw how frail her back was.
