Abrielle was in pain; she bit it back, her lips close to bleeding. Abrielle struggled to get on her feet very subtly not to draw attention to herself. Luckily it seed Cedric and Callista were so drawn to their conversation they didn’t seem to notice Abrielle.
The red-haired princess had no idea that no sense skips Cedric’s attention, not even the slightest sound due to his remarkable senses. Not to ntion her distinct rose and strawberry mixed scent, he always noticed every ti unless when he was blinded by rage, but he didn’t turn back.
Abrielle slowly backed away, she was scared to get noticed. She had to find another route and avoid coming across people since she reeked of smoke.
She hadn’t gone too far from the spot where she fell when soone grabbed her by the waist and covered her mouth to muffle out any sound she would try not to make.
She was torn between struggling and trying to scream for help or not. Cedric was close with Callista. Why were things getting more complicated by the second? "Don’t make a sound." The person whispered in her ears.

"You seem distracted," Cedric ntioned. His gaze was on the priestess who refused to stay down after being treated and wanted to go to the forest to help Lucian out. Cedric didn’t let her and they were having a heated argunt until Callista’s attention was drawn by sothing.
She had a little frown in between her brows, her eyes trying to look above Cedric’s shoulder which was close to impossible because of his towering height of over 200m.
She shook her head, "I feel a bit tired. I am really worried about him, I wonder how long it will take for Lucian to return. Those wolves were weirdly strong." Callista replied with her voice laced with concern. She didn’t ntion anything related to her previous observations.
"He won’t die that easily and putting yourself in danger won’t help things either."
Next, a loud alarm bell from the top of the temple rang, its deafening sound catching everyone’s attention. "Sothing is wrong," she gripped her skirt sensing the urgency. She didn’t wait for Cedric to react and used a sharp mont to run past him getting on her heels.
Cedric clicked his tongue, annoyed at her over-caring personality. He reluctantly followed behind knowing Callista wasn’t ant to be stressing herself due to her health.
His mind also strayed off a bit to think about his little ginger wife, who seed to have disappeared. What was she doing out of her room this late? His jaw clenched.
Soon Callista ran into so servants that served the temple that were running around. Before she even asked them about what was happening, because the entire temple seed to be on their heels, one of the servants beat her to it.
"Please get to safety. There is a fire in one of the libraries, and the queen is among those trapped in the flas." The servant explained barely having a second to stop as he ran off to carry his assignnts.
Cedric couldn’t care less about the queen, one person ca to his mind, but his thoughts were interrupted again by the priestess, who was on her heels again. "Where are you going?" He snapped at her, Callista was running in the direction of the fire opposite to that of safety.
"The queen is in danger. I am good with water spells." She said acting like a true heroine.
Cedric cussed under his breath. Why was he surrounded by won who loved putting themselves in harm’s way? Despite his hesitation, he followed behind; her safety was important to his course and he couldn’t let her get away, but where was Abrielle?

Abrielle’s eyes were wide as saucers as she stared at the person who had her against the wall with his palms covering her mouth.
Alfonso’s eyes narrowed at her; the bells were ringing in the background, along with the sound of rushing footsteps. Servants were running around while announcing there was a fire.
"What were you doing in the library? Rather, why did you run from the library in the way you did?" Alfonso asked. Abrielle could not hide her shock obviously written on her face. Alfonso didn’t see her leave the Library. He actually saw her running suspiciously in the halls close to the library but her expression proved his guess was on point.
"You can’t deny it. Did you attempt to kill the queen by starting the fire?" He accused her, making Abrielle go completely pale. Honestly, she did not have any intentions of killing the queen and honestly didn’t know how she started the fire. Although she knew she was the cause.
Alfonso had pulled Abrielle through a random door that led outside on a balcony. They were so high up, it was hard for anyone to see them there.
It was cold with the winter breeze blowing on them. Alfonso’s large fra protected her from the wind but she was still shivering from the cold due to the sheer clothing she was wearing.
The moonlight was shining brightly on them, and they, indeed, looked like secret lovers making a secret rendezvous. Abrielle knew she had made a mistake but she didn’t panic further and tried to salvage the situation.
She kicked Alfonso in his groins, which did the trick, and he backed away, holding back his screams while holding his manhood in his hand. Abrielle scoffed at him, not wasting a second to run but Alfonso was determined. He blocked her way slamming the door while gritting his teeth.
"You are crazy, how can you accuse of such a thing?"
"You little witch. If not for the fact I have a liking for you, I would have made you pay for that." He snapped at her groaning in pain.
"What do you want now?" She hissed at him not liking the situation.
"Nothing, but I am sure you don’t want telling Eleanor that you happened to be in the library when the fire happened. Well, that is the case. She survives, but it will be a bigger problem if she dies."He spelt out.
