From a distance, Abrielle heard the sound of chirping birds. It was weird hearing birds in the middle of winter. It was very close; her brows furrowed as the sounds got closer, and her eyes opened.

She was forced to shut it back because of the blinding light. Pressing it shut for a bit, she slowly opened it, blinking a couple of tis to adjust her eyes. It was already morning, that she realized from the window. Her eyes slowly darted around the room with a small frown etched in between her brows.

"Where am I?" Abrielle muttered, unable to recognize where she was. It was a small room, and the bed was very hard, different from what she was used to. There were several pots of plants, and then her eyes fell on a bird cage that was where the chirping sounds were coming from.

Her body felt numb and she could barely move, ’ was the unsealing a success?’ she wondered. She wanted to move but her body was not answering her request. The last thing she rembered was seeing Cedric hugging her but that had to be an illusion from the flas.

As if on cue a blue screen popped up.

HIDDEN QUEST COMPLETE: SUCCESSFUL UNSEALING OF VILLAINESS

REWARD: ABILITY TO HOLD MAGIC

BONUS: IMPROVE ONE’S SURVIVAL CHANCES

After she was done reading it, the screen disappeared. She guessed that answered her question about the unsealing. She didn’t feel much different aside from the fact her body felt numb. She was drawn out of her thoughts by the creaking sound of the old wooden door as it screeched against the stone flooring.

Soon, a lady with golden skin and ash blonde stepped in, her silver eyes glowed in surprise, seeing Abrielle was up. "You are up." She gasped, then released. Finally, her neck was free. Sabrina was still a bit irked at the fact that Zoltana brought Prince Cedric to her place.

She knew that Alex was using a disguise, but finding it was actually the prince shook her to the core; well, that was sothing she would think of later.

Abrielle watched the older lady, who had an uncanny resemblance to Zoltana, walk towards her. Sabrina was holding a bowl of warm liquid and a washcloth. She walked up to the small bed, keeping the bowl on a nearby table, before placing her palm on the princess’s forehead.

"Your fever is gone. Do you feel any pain?" Sabrina asked, sitting by the bed. "My entire body feels numb. Can you help sit up?" Abrielle requested, and Sabrina did as she asked, helping her up. Her back was leaning against the wall.

"It’s already morning, what about Zoltana?" Abrielle worried about how she was going to handle the situation of her being missing in the morning. Evelyn by now was already aware of the fact she was gone not to talk about Cedric

He was very mad the last ti she tricked him at Moonstone Harbour, not to forget the fact he had been snapping off recently. "She is recovering, but you will be able to leave later today. Hopefully, by then, the numbness would be gone." Sabrina answered and then stood up from the bed to the fireplace at the far end of the room, where a kettle was being hung.

She was brewing so tea; using a rag, she removed the kettle from the fire and then prepared Abrielle a cup of tea. Abrielle watched her curiously the entire ti. "Was there an accident during the unsealing?" Abrielle asked.

Sabrina approached the princess with the cup; it was warm, so she could hold the cup with her bare hands. "Have so of this," Sabrina said instead, bringing the cup to the princess’s lips since Abrielle’s body was numb.

The tea had a thick ginger scent and seed to have activated her taste buds with its rich taste and aroma. "Take little sips. No need to rush," Sabrina ntioned, seeing how fast Abrielle was drinking.

Abrielle finished the entire cup, and just like magic, her numb limbs had a warm feeling spreading through. She guessed there was indeed magic in it. She drank the entire cup to the last drop.

Sabrina withdrew the cup and kept it in the side drawer. "I was able to successfully unseal you but there was a minor accident due to a miscalculation of how strong your magic was. On the bright side, it was successful, then concerning your affinity, maybe Zoltana can help with that. Try to rest. By the ti you wake up, you will be able to move away." Sabrina helped her back on the bed. Abrielle was already feeling sleepy again.

Sabrina walked a few steps away when sothing popped into her mind. "You know it is easier to run than to kill him." She ntioned causing Abrielle’s eyes to narrow.

Sabrina continued speaking. "Cedric is just too terrifying and way stronger than he even seems. I saw into your future. All I see is death, you will keep on struggling by his side until, eventually, he will end you. The details are not clear but being his other half is a curse. " Sabrina explained, she was still confused about what she saw but she had to relay the ssage.

As long as they are tied together the future is bleak. So people are not ant to be happy. More like the saying there is no good end for a villain. "Your biggest mistake was accepting him." She added.

"But I never accepted him and running from him won’t be easy," Abrielle argued. She never accepted Cedric. From Sabrina’s tone, she knew there was more than t the eyes.

"Denial is never reality. I have a question for you: if Cedric was gravely injured at your rcy and you have a dagger that can end his life, will you kill him without thinking twice?" Sabrina asked, Abrielle was confused by what she ant.

"I would." She answered, causing the older lady to laugh. "Still lying to yourself. Abrielle, if it was when you got married a few months ago, you would have, but unfortunately, your cold heart

isn’t made of stone."
