Steel crashed against steel again and again.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The sharp sounds echoed across the frozen battlefield as Duke Sant fought the two siblings without pause.

Snow burst apart beneath their feet. Ice cracked. The cold wind roared around them as the three figures moved so fast that their bodies often blurred.

The sister attacked first.

Her spear shot forward like a snake aiming for Duke Sant’s throat.

But Sant reacted instantly.

CLANG!

His sword pushed the spear aside.

Before the girl could recover, the brother’s attack arrived from the side.

The man’s spear stabbed straight toward Sant’s ribs.

Sant twisted his body and blocked again.

CLANG!

The sound of tal striking tal rang out once more.

The battle continued like this.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Every ti Duke Sant pushed them back, they returned imdiately. Their attacks never stopped.

Their spears moved like deadly fangs, striking from two different directions.

Even for soone like Duke Sant, fighting both of them at once was exhausting.

His chest injury had already opened many tis during the battle. Fresh blood soaked into his clothes.

Pain spread across his body.

There were also deep cuts on his shoulders and legs.

His breathing was slowly becoming heavier.

But the two siblings were not in good condition either.

Their clothes were torn in many places.

The girl’s arm trembled slightly whenever she swung her spear.

The brother had bruises across his face and body.

Even so—

They kept attacking.

They rushed forward again and again as if their lives depended on it.

Because honestly...

They did.

The girl jumped back for a mont and landed beside her brother.

Her face had lost its usual playful smile. Her expression was serious.

"Bro... I don’t think we can kill him without using our Genesis Heart."

Her voice no longer sounded cheerful.

The brother did not answer imdiately.

He continued attacking Duke Sant while speaking.

His spear shot forward again.

CLANG!

Sant blocked it with his sword.

The brother pulled the spear back and jumped away.

"I know," he said calmly.

"But the clown told us to save our Genesis Heart."

The girl bit her lip.

"If we don’t use it now, this old man will kill us."

Her eyes briefly glanced toward Duke Sant.

"And if he uses his Genesis Heart first..."

Her voice beca quieter.

"...then we are done."

The brother remained silent for a few seconds.

His eyes shifted toward the distant battlefield.

In the distance—

Huge explosions could be heard.

BOOM!

BOOM!

Waves of mana shook the air again and again.

From the amount of power in the air, it was clear that a fierce battle was happening there.

The clown was fighting Vivian D Zenithara

And from the looks of it...

He was not having an easy ti.

The brother looked back at his sister.

"It seems the clown isn’t doing very well either."

His voice remained calm.

"So we must rely on ourselves." His grip on the spear tightened. "Or else it will all be over."

The girl stayed quiet for a mont. Then she slowly nodded.

"Alright."

Her eyes hardened. In the next mont—

Both of them moved.

The girl rushed toward Duke Sant from the front. The brother attacked from the side at the sa ti.

Their timing was perfect.

Two spears aid at him from two different directions.

Duke Sant narrowed his eyes.

He raised his left hand. Magma gathered around his palm.

The heat quickly grew stronger.

Within seconds, the magma shaped itself into a long spear made of burning rock.

Without hesitation—

Duke Sant threw it.

The magma spear flew straight toward the girl rushing at him.

At the sa ti, he raised his sword.

CLANG!

He blocked the brother’s spear. But he did not stop there.

Using the montum of the clash, Duke Sant twisted his body and dragged the man closer.

The brother’s balance shifted. That small opening was enough.

Duke Sant’s left fist shot forward.

BAM!!

The punch landed directly on the man’s cheek. The impact was brutal.

The brother’s body flew through the air like a broken arrow.

He was thrown dozens of ters away before finally regaining his balance.

Duke Sant quickly turned his head.

The girl had already dodged the magma spear. She was rushing toward him again.

Sant’s body moved instantly.

He pushed his speed to the limit.

In the blink of an eye—

He appeared directly in front of her. Her eyes widened.

Duke Sant raised his sword high. Then he brought it down.

BAM!!

The girl quickly lifted her spear and held it horizontally with both hands to block.

But the force of the strike was overwhelming.

Her arms trembled violently. A ripple of pain spread across her face.

"Ugh!"

Her body was pushed backward through the air.

She barely managed to keep her balance.

But blood suddenly spilled from her mouth.

"Cough—!"

She coughed violently.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!"

Drops of blood scattered into the air as she retreated. Duke Sant did not give her ti to recover.

He chased after her imdiately. His eyes were cold.

Do I really need to use even my Genesis Heart...?

He gritted his teeth.

Fighting these two together was becoming harder every second.

Their attacks never stopped. Their coordination was perfect.

"If I could just kill one of them..."

The battle would beco much easier.

But his injuries were getting worse. His chest throbbed with pain every ti he moved.

Blood continued to flow from the wound.

"And I have already used my intuition..."

He sighed bitterly in his mind. That ability was now unavailable.

It would take at least one full day before he could use it again.

As for his spiritual energy...

Duke Sant glanced down at his abdon.

A tired smile appeared on his face.

"I am already using it."

And the worst part was—

It was running out.

He could feel the energy inside his body slowly fading. He did not know how much longer he could keep fighting.

But it would not be long. Right now he only had two choices.

Kill one of the siblings quickly.

Or...

Use his Genesis Heart.

But there was a problem with that.

If he used his Genesis Heart and they still survived...

Then things would beco extrely dangerous. Because the two of them had not used their Genesis Hearts yet.

But after watching their condition...Duke Sant’s eyes beca sharp.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Fortunately..."

He raised his sword again.

His grip tightened.

"I don’t think they can survive my Genesis Heart."

"And this... is also my chance," he muttered under his breath as he chased after the retreating girl, his boots cutting through the cold air as he pushed forward.

If he could just kill her right now—

Then this fight would beco much easier.

But suddenly—

The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. A sharp chill ran through his body.

Duke Sant’s eyes narrowed.

Without hesitation, he turned around.

The mont he did—

A spear appeared right in front of him.

It was only a few ters away from his face.

The weapon flew through the air with terrifying speed. The power behind it was imnse, as if it wanted to split him in half.

But instead of panicking—

Duke Sant’s eyes suddenly lit up.

"That’s it!"

He stepped lightly to the side.

At the sa ti, his hand reached forward.

His sharp gaze locked onto the spear.

In the distance, the brother watched him with a sneer on his face.

He had thrown that spear using his spiritual energy. Because of that, the spear carried his will.

It could not be stopped easily.

Unless Duke Sant also used spiritual energy to block it with his sword.

"Arrogant," the man muttered as the sneer on his lips grew wider.

He believed Duke Sant had made a mistake.

But Duke Sant gave him no satisfaction.

In the next instant—

Spiritual energy covered Duke Sant’s right hand.

A faint glow wrapped around his palm.

At that exact mont—

WHOOSH!

The spear arrived.

It was now only a few inches away from his body.

"Hmph!"

Duke Sant let out a cold snort.

His body shifted slightly to the side.

Then—

He grabbed the spear.

But he did not try to stop it.

Instead, he only changed its direction slightly.

The movent was small.

Just enough.

Duke Sant’s voice exploded across the battlefield.

"Don’t you ever dare show your back to the enemy!"

With a powerful motion—

He threw the spear.

But the target was no longer him.

The spear shot forward toward the girl who was retreating with her back turned.

In the distance—

The brother’s expression changed instantly.

The sneer vanished from his face.

His eyes widened.

"Tsk!"

He quickly pulled his hand, trying to recall the spear with his spiritual energy.

But—

The spear did not respond.

His face darkened.

"He used his own spiritual energy to cover my will!"

The brother cursed loudly.

"Damn it!"

He imdiately rushed forward, flying toward the spear at full speed.

But he was too late.

anwhile—

The girl was still retreating when a sudden sense of danger struck her.

A deadly feeling.

It felt as if death itself was rushing toward her. Her heart skipped a beat.

She quickly turned her head.

The mont she looked back—

Her pupils shrank to thin needles. The spear was already there.

Right in front of her.

CHIK!

The sound of flesh being pierced echoed through the cold air.

In the distance—

The brother’s eyes widened in pure horror.

"Sister!!!"
