At this mont, Gideon Larkin spoke.

"Isaac Vaughn needs to stay here to undergo closed-door cultivation for upgrading, and Wyatt Yardley is still in estrus, so the two of them will stay. We can wait and go hunting later."

He sat at the cave entrance, his gaze sweeping over everyone, finally resting on Seraphina Caldwell’s face.

He wanted to seek her opinion but was also afraid she would worry.

Seraphina Caldwell, however, shook her head.

"Don’t go. You’re not healed yet; rest tonight."

"Hunting tomorrow will not be too late. Tonight, everyone needs to rest."

Several Beast Husbands were stunned.

They had originally just been waiting for food distribution in the usual way.

But they did not expect the next events to completely shatter their inherent perception of female roles.

Kaelan Hawthorne and Gideon Larkin glanced at each other.

What exactly is she trying to do?

Gideon Larkin squinted slightly, his eyebrows furrowed slightly.

While Kaelan Hawthorne’s mouth twitched slightly.

The last ti they stayed together in the tribe, it may have been that she was afraid of people discovering their relationship.

But this ti, is it really just because she feels sorry for them?

Now in a different environnt, without tribesn watching, without needing to hide, logically she should be more relaxed.

Yet she has made more abnormal moves.

What on earth is she thinking?

Kaelan Hawthorne forced a smile.

"But if we don’t hunt tonight, there will be no at by tomorrow morning."

He said this not to reject her kind intention, but to probe her true thoughts.

At this ti, Seraphina Caldwell thought, she could go hungry for a al, but they have to eat.

She is a transmigrator, her body constitution is slightly stronger than this world’s humans, skipping one or two als won’t be an issue.

But these Beast Husbands are different. They fight and kill during the day, bearing injuries, consuming a lot of energy.

If they don’t replenish energy in ti, tomorrow’s journey will be exceptionally tough and may even endanger their lives.

"Is there any left?"

Kaelan Hawthorne spoke honestly.

"There is a bit, but not enough to go around."

He was telling the truth.

Today’s prey wasn’t big, it was a young beast caught temporarily in the wilderness, so the at wasn’t much.

Sharing among a few was already tough, let alone now with Seraphina Caldwell added.

Seraphina Caldwell silently picked up the Beast Skin Bag, discreetly took out a large piece of at from her space.

"Adding this to what you have, will it be enough for tonight? I don’t need to eat at; I’ll just eat so fruit."

After speaking, she stepped back.

The Beast Husbands were all stunned.

In this survival-of-the-fittest Primal Age, resources an life.

Yet she was handing over what she relies on for survival without hesitation.

In the Primal Age, females are responsible for gathering, caring for children, and sewing clothes.

Males go out to hunt, fight, and protect the tribe.

Food distribution also follows this logic.

When have they ever seen a female save at for a male?

But this female in front of them...

She’d rather chew on fruit, yet she pushes all the at over...

What is she after?

Kaelan Hawthorne’s brow furrowed tightly like it could trap a mosquito.

The more he looked at Seraphina Caldwell, the more he felt she was a mystery.

He couldn’t see through this female at all.

She wasn’t like the obedient females in the tribe; she had her own rhythm, her own principles.

In fact, Seraphina Caldwell kept it simple in mind.

Don’t delay the journey.

Her goal was always clear: survive, then find a way back to modern tis as quickly as possible.

These people, despite their varying personalities, are currently her only support.

She didn’t refrain from eating at to impress anyone; it was purely a practical consideration.

But several Beast Husbands stared at her, eyes full of suspicion.

They couldn’t assess her actions with common sense, only with the most primitive thinking to speculate.

She must have so motives.

"It’s not that I don’t like eating at, it’s just that I’ve eaten too much recently, it’s getting greasy. I want to change to so sweet and sour wild fruits to buffer my stomach. You all have injuries; if you don’t eat, where will you have the strength to continue the journey tomorrow? I don’t want to drag you down."

Kaelan Hawthorne froze, suddenly understanding.

He recalled the lunch earlier when Seraphina Caldwell indeed didn’t eat much at, preferring the few red berries Wyatt Yardley picked, which she ate with particular delight.

At that ti, he thought she was just craving.

Now it seems she was already preparing for tonight.

She had planned from the start to save her rations.

"Alright, let’s divide this at, it’ll be barely enough. In the morning, we’ll pick so wild fruits for breakfast, and it won’t delay our journey."

Seraphina Caldwell finally breathed a little easier.

Wyatt Yardley ca over and handed her a piece of dried at.

"Don’t force yourself, eat so at to recover faster."

She waved her hand.

"It’s just a small injury, really no problem. You all eat, I’ll just chew on the fruit."

It wasn’t false modesty, nor bravado.

She knew that by washing the wound with Spiritual Spring Water at night, the injury would quickly heal, not even leaving scars.

Currently, she indeed had no appetite for at.

Saying this, she casually took out a few wild fruits from her pocket.

Wyatt Yardley did not speak, only silently watched her.

Her complexion was as pale as paper, her mouth stained with the juice of the wild fruits.

The fruits were very sour and bitter, anyone else eating them would frown, yet she lowered her head, chewing slowly, one small bite at a ti.

Her injury clearly hadn’t healed, yet she’d rather chew on these hard-to-stomach wild fruits than touch a bite of at.

It wasn’t for the taste, nor was she picky about food; she wanted everyone else to have more to eat.

Isaac Vaughn kept his head down, his fingertips lightly caressing the Green-tier Beast Crystal.

But his gaze quietly landed on Seraphina Caldwell’s profile.

That female...

What is she after?

Gideon Larkin chewed on the dried at, looking confused and puzzled.

In all his life, he had never seen a female giving at to a male.

In his previous understanding, resources always prioritized the strong while the weak retreated.

He knew there must be sothing wrong.

But he just couldn’t see through it, couldn’t grasp the flaw within.

His gaze fell upon Seraphina Caldwell.

Judging by her usual style and thods, she shouldn’t be this "selfless."

She must be hiding a deeper purpose.

He decided to talk with Kaelan Hawthorne.

The guy has a keen mind and thorough thoughts, always able to see through others’ setups at once.

After dinner, it wasn’t long before they finished eating.

Seraphina Caldwell lifted her head, her gaze gently settling on Isaac Vaughn.

"Go absorb now. Take the ti tonight to cultivate early; upgrading is crucial."

Isaac Vaughn paused, then slowly turned, walking toward a corner of the tree hole.

Reaching the corner, he lifted a weathered and thick Beast Skin, revealing the dry ground underneath.

He lowered his head, gaze resting on the Beast Crystal in his hand, staring for a few seconds.

Then he raised his hand, without hesitation, he sent the Beast Crystal into his mouth.

The upgrading process requires slowly absorbing the energy; one must not be impatient.

Seraphina Caldwell stood on the side, her gaze fixed on Isaac Vaughn’s every move.

The sight of Wyatt Yardley losing control and going into estrus after upgrading with a Beast Crystal last ti was still vivid in her mind.

At that ti, Wyatt Yardley was frenzied, growling, his eyes red, almost hurting her.

Thinking of this, she involuntarily furrowed her brow.

Wyatt Yardley leaned against a nearby stone platform, his gaze gently sweeping across Seraphina Caldwell’s face.

He noticed her subtle change in expression, so he reached out, lightly patting the back of her hand.

"Don’t get nervous."

"The Green-tier Beast Crystal is very stable, and won’t trigger strong reactions. He will be fine."

"Even if sothing does happen, don’t worry about . The estrus period will pass soon; I can manage."

"Seraphina, don’t you feel...the Beast Ring has beco wider?"

She was startled, quickly lifting her left arm, pulling up her sleeve halfway up.

The Beast Ring originally entwining on her skin was as thin as a strand of hair.
