Seraphina Caldwell knows that Evan Orwell is just that kind of person.

Even if he does sothing in a state of confusion, he will stick to it to the end.

She didn’t resist and let him hold her for a while before slowly withdrawing from the embrace.

She turned around, picked up the beast skin clothes from the ground, and put them on swiftly.

When she turned back, the blush and vulnerability on her face had long disappeared.

A bit of redness remained at the corner of her eyes, which made her eyes appear brighter.

She looked at Evan and asked, "Can you walk? There’s not much ti left. If we delay any longer, Jude might take action against Wyatt Yardley and the others."

Evan stared at her smiling face, feeling a softness in his heart.

I was the one to ask her to bond, yet she was the one comforting ...

His mind was a ss, but he had already made his decision.

Since he chose her as a partner, he wouldn’t entertain other thoughts.

She is the only female master.

His throat moved slightly, suppressing his swirling thoughts, and nodded forcefully.

"Let’s go."

As soon as his words fell, pure white feathers spread out from him.

The wings were wide and fluffy, emitting a soft glow.

He lowered his head, his long neck curved down.

"Get on, let’s go find Jude Gale."

Without a word, Seraphina climbed onto his back and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.

Her fingertips touched the soft, warm feathers, carrying his unique scent, inexplicably making her feel secure.

The wind roared past her ears.

Evan flapped his wings and soared high, carrying Seraphina, flying straight toward the cave.

Suddenly, the white snake mark on Seraphina’s collarbone heated up abruptly.

This was the mark of her contract with Wyatt Yardley, never had it been this agitated.

She was engulfed by an inexplicable panic.

She imdiately turned to shout at Evan, "Evan! That mark from Wyatt... it’s scorching hot. What’s happening?"

Evan’s flying pace paused slightly.

His voice was low, but his tone was tense.

"He’s in danger. This kind of resonance only ans one thing, he’s at a critical life and death mont now."

As soon as he spoke, he accelerated sharply, wings furiously slashing through the air.

The strong wind compelled Seraphina to instinctively clasp her arms tightly around his neck.

"Hold on tight, I’m going all out!"

With those words, his figure pierced through the clouds like an arrow.

The chill of the high altitude quickly perated the clothing and penetrated the skin.

His wings spread out, each flap tearing through the resistance ahead, continuously increasing speed.

The cold wind grew harsher, scraping her face like knives.

His entirely white feathers shook slightly in the strong air currents but firmly supported her weight.

The mountains and forests below raced backward, the rivers winding like fine lines.

Seraphina pressed her entire body against Evan’s back, listening to the steady heartbeat beneath her.

But her own heart was a chaotic ss, anxiety gradually climbing up.

What is Jude doing?

Could he have already acted against Wyatt?

Her mind incessantly envisioned Jude’s cold sneer.

She knew this person was ruthless and cunning, never abiding by the rules.

Once he decides to take action, he won’t just make superficial gestures.

If he’s already stord in, he could be interrogating—or worse.

She recalled the day Wyatt shielded her from disaster, his bones crushed under Jude’s foot yet not retreating an inch.

At that mont, she almost rushed in but was tightly held back by Gideon Larkin.

She doesn’t know how Jude will tornt him, but Wyatt is already heavily wounded, unable to endure further beating.

Should anything happen, the consequences are unimaginable.

His previous injuries have not healed, muscle and bone are still recovering.

If heavily injured again, at best paralyzed, at worst dead.

She does not want to imagine the worst outco, but Wyatt lying in a pool of blood keeps appearing in her mind.

How many tis has that body blocked lethal attacks for her?

Will this ti be the final one?

What about Isaac Vaughn, Gideon Larkin, and Kaelan Hawthorne?

Are they also being punished?

If Jude brought enough people, he might have already sealed the cave entrance.

Isaac’s fierce temperant will never bow down and beg.

Gideon, although calm, is extrely protective, if a companion is in danger, he will inevitably retaliate.

Kaelan’s body constitution is weak, least capable of enduring torture.

The person on his back trembled slightly, Evan noticed, and his wings flapped even more fiercely.

Then he mobilized newly acquired power within, further increasing speed.

The sun gradually tilted behind the mountains, night was fast approaching.

The air carried a faint and indescribable fishy sll.

The wind direction quietly changed, bringing distant scents.

The fishy sll was initially weak, mixed in with the scent of decomposing leaves, hard to detect.

She bit her lip, with only one thought in her mind.

Faster, go faster!

Her fingers dug deeper into Evan’s clothes.

Her eyes fixed solely on that mountainside about to be swallowed by darkness.

Evan’s wings, like oiled blades, cut through the sky, leaving streaks of residual shadow.

The newly elevated power surged his speed.

The wind by her ears had beco a roaring beast, making it hard to keep her eyes open.

The last hints of orange were being devoured by deep blue at the horizon.

Evan adjusted his posture and began lowering altitude, wings slightly contracted.

His gaze locked on a chaotic thicket ahead.

There, a faint crevice was barely visible, perfectly matching the location in mory.

The cave hid behind dense underbrush, its black maw almost swallowing the last light.

Seraphina held her breath, trying to discern any moans or sounds of battle.

But the surroundings were too quiet, with only the rustling of leaves in the wind.

Evan gradually landed, choosing a flat area a hundred ters from the cave entrance.

His wings folded, and the wind swirled and rushed through the grass.

He transford back to his human form, white beast skirt slightly dusty.

However, his presence felt much more imposing than before, standing silently but exerting pressure.

"You stay here. I’ll sneak in and bring the people out first."

He said in a low voice.

Seraphina directly shook her head, her gaze as firm as nails.

"No."

She looked toward the cave, her voice tinged with tension.

"Jude hasn’t seen , he surely won’t be at ease. Darkness is almost here. If he thinks I’ve run, he might imdiately take harsh asures against Wyatt and the others."

Evan’s brow furrowed tightly, his eyes filled with uncontrollable worry.

"But if you go, it’s too dangerous. Jude’s targeting you, he could capture you any mont."

Seraphina looked at him, her tone softening.

"You’ll protect , won’t you?"

Evan t her eyes, which were full of trust.

His throat moved, lowly replying.

"Yes, I’ll risk everything to keep you safe."

But what he didn’t know was, Seraphina had already thought through the worst outco.

She understood she and Evan had forged a contract.

But Evan doesn’t like her.

If soone doesn’t like you, how could they risk their life for you?

Even if Evan wants to save her, he might not have the ability.

But even if no one can protect her, the worst is being captured by Jude.

As long as Jude wants to bond with her, he won’t kill her imdiately.

At least, Wyatt and the others can survive.

More crucially, Evan has just ascended close to the Blue Rank.

The aura on him is too strong; approaching the cave would expose it.

Then, Jude would imdiately sense sothing amiss.

The cave’s space is narrow; once fighting starts, there’s nowhere to retreat.

Furthermore, facing nurous opponents, prepared and alert, direct confrontation would almost surely fail.

Only by making Jude lower his guard could there be a chance to create an opportunity.
