Wyatt Yardley scanned the surroundings following her gaze, chuckling softly.

"Don’t worry, Isaac Vaughn has long placed a spiritual power wall around us."

As he spoke, he pointed with his mouth toward the barely visible black mbrane beside them.

The barrier was semi-transparent, its edges glowing with a faint gray light.

If not inspected closely, one wouldn’t notice its existence at all.

"This thing blocks sound and sight; outsiders can’t hear us speak nor see what we’re doing inside."

Seraphina Caldwell leaned forward to take a look, squinting her eyes to try to discern the barrier’s outline.

She extended her finger tentatively, poking the mbrane.

A strange sensation t her fingertips, smooth and slippery.

Her finger sank slightly into it before being quickly pushed back to its original position.

She listened closely and, sure enough, there was no sound outside the cave.

Wyatt’s voice resonated next to her ear.

"Now, no one can disturb us. We can begin."

The firelight cast on Seraphina’s face turned her as red as a ripe wild berry.

Her fingers subconsciously tightened the edge of the Beast Skin, her knuckles turning white.

Seeing her tense, Wyatt leaned forward to smooth out the stray strands of hair near her ear.

"Bonding might feel a bit uncomfortable, but don’t worry, I know my limits and won’t let you suffer."

As soon as he finished speaking, he grasped her hand, guiding it toward himself.

He guided her to press against his chest first, her fingertips imdiately sensing the resilience of his muscles.

Going further down, there was a flat and firm abdon.

Seraphina’s heart skipped a beat, and she pushed against his shoulder.

Her arm tensed instantly, retreating half an inch backward.

"You... you have two..."

Before finishing her sentence, her face flushed, turning away in embarrassnt.

The sensation was too clear, rendering her whole body stiff.

Wyatt couldn’t help but laugh, his eyes full of amusent.

He reached out to hold her jaw, preventing her from escaping.

"I’m The Serpentine; this is just how I am. Don’t be afraid, I’ll be gentle and definitely won’t hurt you."

She finally rembered that the books indeed ntioned this setting, although she had never considered it before.

Theory was one thing, but facing it was quite another.

She bit her lip, tasting a tinge of tallic blood, realizing she had bitten too hard.

Thinking since she chose him as her Beast Husband, she couldn’t step back at this point over such a matter.

She took a deep breath as if making a big decision and closed her eyes.

Her breath paused for a mont, then slowly exhaled.

Her hand tremblingly circled around Wyatt’s neck, her fingertips grazing the short hair at the nape, prickly to the touch.

She moved in voluntarily, brushing against his lips.

The mont their lips touched, every nerve in her body tensed.

But after a few seconds, there was no response at all.

She couldn’t wait for a response, instead felt her face burning with embarrassnt.

Unable to hold it, Seraphina opened her eyes, eting Wyatt’s slightly raised corners of his lips.

His eyes were full of laughter, with a hint of affection.

"Why are you acting as if you’re saying goodbye before an execution?"

Wanting to defend herself, she found her throat dry, unable to utter a word.

"I..." her face blushed to her ears.

Her lips pursed, a bit aggrieved.

"If you don’t like it, just forget it."

She said this wanting to move back.

"Who said I don’t like it?"

As soon as he spoke, Wyatt tightened his grip, pulling her directly into his arms, bending down to lightly bite her lips.

"I love you so much I wish I could dismantle you and embed you into my bones."

Her heart pounded like a drum, only their tangled breaths echoing in her ears.

This kiss was utterly different from before.

Her nose brushed against him, occasionally letting out a soft hum.

First grinding against his lips, the kiss deepened, sliding along the cheek to the ear.

"Seraphina, from the mont of bonding on, you are my lifelong master. Hereafter, I’ll live only for you; whoever makes you shed a tear, they’ll never have peace with ."

These words gently scratched at her heart, making Seraphina’s body weaken and tremble, grasping his neck more firmly.

"Mm..."

Her eyelashes were moist, breathing hot.

Her whole body leaned into his embrace, wishing to use no strength.

Just wanting to stay like this, listening to his heartbeat, feeling his warmth.

Wyatt reached out, gently lifting her a bit from his neck.

The mont his gaze fell, his breath halted.

Firelight scattered fragntarily on her face, making her cheeks rosy.

Her eyes misty, showing a sweet dependency.

He had never seen Seraphina like this.

Gone was the usual facade, with even the fear appearing endearingly silly.

Wyatt’s throat rolled suddenly, his fingertip grazed her face.

"Don’t hide... looking this good, what are you hiding?"

His body slowly lowered, his nose brushing past her chin, heat licking up her neck.

Seraphina shivered all over.

She instinctively tightened her toes, fingertips digging into her palm.

The air was filled with an indescribable sense of oppression.

With their breaths getting heavier, intertwining in this confined space.

"What to do? My dear Seraphina is so easily delicate, really can’t bear to touch..."

His throat rolled once, burying his face lower.

"I’m not delicate..."

Seraphina whispered in protest, but her voice was trembling beyond recognition.

Her face was burning fiercely, not daring to look up at him.

Clearly wanting to let go of everything, yet feeling panic-stricken.

As blood surged through her veins, her chest tightening to the point of pain.

Wyatt chuckled softly, his finger slowly dancing over her sparkling lips.

"Alright, alright, our Seraphina is the best."

Then his gaze darkened.

"But I just don’t want other n to see you like this; what should be done?"

"They can’t see..."

Seraphina’s words hadn’t finished before her lips were covered by his cool fingertips.

In that mont, all her words were stuck in her throat.

He slowly rubbed her lips with his thumb.

"If I can’t protect you completely myself, you’d have to form another contract with soone..."

With this, he pecked her lips.

"But just the thought that you’ll be this close to them in the future makes my heart feel like it’s being pricked by needles, really want to lock you up, only for to manage."

Upon finishing, he tightened his grip, pulling her firmly into his embrace.

Seraphina couldn’t breathe being held by him, her body softened, eyes welling with shimring tears, with a tremor quietly imploring him.

"Stop... The Beast Seal has already appeared..."

Wyatt suddenly paused, his gaze falling on the delicate skin at her neck.

A clear snake-shaped mark was erging slowly, andering like a tattoo, mirroring his totem.

His wish had finally co true.

In his eyes rose a surge of burning ecstasy.

This was their oath, her marking serving as proof of bearing his na.

He held her tightly in his arms, almost embedding her into his body.

"Seraphina, now you’re truly accepted as my Female Master."

Seraphina nestled in his chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat.

"Mm, don’t fail ..."

But at that mont, a sudden crackling sound shattered the silence!

The spiritual barrier unexpectedly split open with a small seam.

Then it crashed, dissolving into countless transparent bubbles, disappearing into thin air in the blink of an eye!
