But she remained silent.

She curled herself up tighter, her arms wrapping around Gideon Larkin’s neck, her chin lightly resting on his shoulder.

She knew Gideon Larkin was already exhausted; she didn’t want to burden him further.

After a few steps, Gideon Larkin suddenly let out a muffled groan, his entire hind leg suddenly sinking down forcefully.

His body tilted; instinctively he wanted to stabilize himself, but the ground was as soft as quicksand, offering no support at all.

The mud bubbled and churned, swallowing him up to the waist in an instant.

"Gideon Larkin!"

Seraphina Caldwell clung desperately to his mane.

Her entire body leaned forward, almost pressed against his back, yet she dared not let go.

Gideon Larkin frantically kicked around, his hind legs scrambling in the mud, stirring up large waves of muck.

But the more he struggled, the faster he sank, his body continuously descending, and the mud had already reached his chest.

At this mont, a white shadow descended from the sky.

Evan Orwell’s Celestial Crane swooped down, flapping its wings, and the wind rippled open the muddy waters.

It accurately grabbed Seraphina Caldwell’s collar.

As soon as she reacted, it carried her into the air.

Seraphina Caldwell felt her body lighten, and in the next mont, she was already firmly landed in front of Kaelan Hawthorne.

Her legs felt a bit weak upon landing, but she couldn’t care about that now and imdiately turned to look at the swamp.

"Hold her tight!"

Evan Orwell stood on the Celestial Crane’s back, hands gripping the sword’s hilt tightly, eyes fixed fiercely on the mire below.

As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and rushed back into the swamp.

The Celestial Crane dove again, its claws clutching onto Gideon Larkin’s shoulders and back, pulling upward with all its might.

Seeing that half of Gideon Larkin’s body was about to erge, just then!

"Splash!"

The mire exploded violently.

A creature larger than half a cow lunged up!

It leaped out from the mud, revealing sharp tusks.

It was the Siase Crocodile.

Its body was dark blue, covered in muddy scales.

Short, thick forelimbs equipped with suction cups gripped the ground.

It bit tightly onto Gideon Larkin’s hind leg, with the sharp teeth piercing flesh.

"Gideon Larkin! Don’t fight it! Turn with it!"

Wyatt Yardley shouted out.

He stood on the shore, holding a long whip tightly.

As soon as he finished speaking, his body suddenly blurred, instantly transforming into a White Snake.

The snake’s body was long and agile, its tail raised high, which whipped violently and precisely coiled around the sturdy waist of the Siase Crocodile.

Gideon Larkin was tugged heavily, grimacing in pain.

When the Siase Crocodile swung its head left to struggle, he imdiately twisted his body according to the force.

With sheer flesh and blood, he endured that terrifying bite force.

Above in the sky, Evan Orwell soared, his wings fully spread.

His hands quickly ford seals, spiritual power condensed into countless light needles, which rained down from high sky, aid straight at the Siase Crocodile’s eyes.

At the sa ti, Isaac Vaughn stood at the edge of the muddy ground, his ten fingers slightly spread.

His spiritual power wound around the Siase Crocodile’s forepaws.

In an instant, the once wildly flailing giant paws were immobilized.

"Pull!"

Wyatt Yardley growled lowly.

The snake’s body suddenly tensed, its tail clenched the Siase Crocodile’s abdon tightly, and then exerted power violently.

Leveraging the slippery mud ground, it dragged the gigantic creature toward the shore.

The mud splashed, leaving a long ravine.

The Siase Crocodile was ferocious in the muddy water, but once out of the swampy environnt, its power greatly diminished.

Gideon Larkin seized the opportunity, his right hind leg kicked the ground suddenly, launching his body forward.

Sharp claws viciously aiming at the Siase Crocodile’s eye that remained uncovered!

The Siase Crocodile was caught off guard, pain overwheld it, the massive body shuddered violently, its jaws parting rapidly.

Without the buoyancy and support of the muddy water, the Siase Crocodile’s limbs went limp, unable to summon any strength.

Just at the critical mont, the White Snake opened its huge mouth, its sharp fangs pierced the soft side of the Siase Crocodile’s neck.

Blood spurted out instantly.

Following that, the snake body coiled tighter and tighter.

The Siase Crocodile’s struggle weakened gradually, and its twitching slowly ceased, its eyes completely losing focus, dispersing into dullness.

Finally, the massive Siase Crocodile exhaled its last breath, falling motionless into the mud.

This Siase Crocodile was rely a Green Rank ordinary beast, limited in power.

If it hadn’t taken advantage of the complex and difficult terrain of the swamp, why would it have required the collective effort of the group for so long?

Now having lost its advantage, it naturally was no match.

Wyatt Yardley slowly released the snake body, then used the snake tail to push aside the Siase Crocodile’s sinister head.

Using force, the claws pried open its skull.

A verdant green glow appeared within; he precisely reached in and extracted the Beast Core, still faintly pulsing.

Returning to human form, he quickly walked toward Seraphina Caldwell.

"Seraphina, the Beast Core I..."

Before finishing the sentence, a sudden change occurred.

Seraphina Caldwell’s previously standing figure suddenly stiffened, her complexion turning pale as paper in an instant.

Her knees buckled, and without warning, she fell straight backward, landing heavily in the mud.

With quick reflexes, Wyatt Yardley caught the collapsing Seraphina Caldwell.

The instant his palm touched her back, his heart tightened.

The temperature was startlingly higher than usual.

"Evan Orwell! Quickly, check her!"

Before he could finish the call, Evan Orwell flapped his wings and swiftly landed.

His form transford into human shape as soon as he touched down.

Evan Orwell did not hesitate; his fingertips swiftly emitted a layer of golden light.

He gently placed his fingers on Seraphina Caldwell’s forehead, closing his eyes to sense the flow of energy within.

After probing, his brow furrowed imdiately.

"Her first rainy season as an adult has arrived. Caught in the rain, her body suffered from cold and was suddenly provoked, causing the internal heat to surface. This is a sign of heat."

"Heat?"

Wyatt Yardley instinctively tightened his arms, lowering his head to look at her pale face.

"Will anything happen? Will it hurt? Can she endure?"

He asked repeatedly.

Evan Orwell slowly shook his head.

"Don’t worry. Females experience high fever before heat, which is an inevitable process of internal Energy mobilization and ridian activation. Seraphina’s body is inherently weak; combined with prolonged exposure to rain and cold invading, she fainted. These days she might have repeated fever, so be cautious and stay by her side constantly."

Wyatt Yardley, hearing these words, felt his heart slowly settle.

But when he lowered his head again to look at Seraphina Caldwell, he found her brows still tightly knitted.

This was her first experience of heat, and it happened under such embarrassing circumstances.

The heat phase signified she finally beca an adult.

Their Blood Covenant was already ford, but as she hadn’t reached adulthood, they remained just nominally as Beast Husband and wife.

Now, once this phase was endured, they could truly form a Bonding, sharing life and death henceforth.

Seraphina Caldwell lay groggy, her whole body alternating between chills and warmth.

Her teeth chattered uncontrollably.

"So cold... Help ... Soone..."

Suddenly, a warm body pressed close to her.

Instinctively, she snuggled closer to the warmth, her frown slowly relaxing.

Upon reopening her eyes, her vision shifted from blurry to clear.

Underneath, layers of soft Beast Skin were spread thick and fluffy.

Above, the uneven rocky ceiling of a cave.

She blinked, seeing before her, Gideon Larkin’s ice-blue eyes.

"Awake? We hid in a cave, started a fire. You were burning fiercely; your face was scorching, but fortunately, the fever subsided a bit."

Seraphina Caldwell moved slightly, realizing her whole body was nestled in his embrace.
