I watched a trailer with Leon since we had so free ti.

[We’re the Academy Occult Research Club!]

[A historic club dedicated to uncovering the truth behind so-called occult phenona in this world!]

[And I’m the club president! That’s the vice president, and the other two are mber A and mber B!]

[President! A new dungeon has been discovered in the Black Great Forest!]

[Why are you only saying that now?! We need to investigate imdiately!]

[The student council keeps cutting our budget, saying we’re useless! Those evil student council scoundrels!]

[Alright, we’ve reached the dungeon!]

[Let’s go in, everyone!]

–CRASH!–

At that mont, the vice president’s upper body disappeared from the screen.

A snake-like monster erged from the ceiling and devoured the vice president’s upper half.

[KYAAAAAH!]

[The vice president! The vice president was killed by a monster we’ve never seen before!]

[President, what should we do?!]

[Hmm~.]

[We’ll just recruit new mbers!]

『Labyrinthos Side Story: Dungeon Seeker』

The trailer ended like that.

“...What an insane ga.”

Leon muttered incredulously.

“Let’s see… Looks like this is a spinoff of the original Labyrinthos mixed with sothing like RE:sir Company.”

“RE:sir Company?”

“Yeah. You know, the company behind Phasmophobia and Content Watching.”

“I’ve heard the na.”

I hadn’t played their gas myself—they were mostly multiplayer-focused, which wasn’t my preference.

“That’s unexpected. I thought you loved all PC gas.”

“If there were ranked matches, I might’ve considered it.”

“There’s no way gas like this would have ranked matches… Oh, found it. Here’s an email about it from DeadRows. Read it.”

Leon handed her phone.

The email summarized the ga’s features as follows:

Dungeons have appeared across different regions of the empire. Players take on the role of explorers who investigate these dungeons.

Explorers belong to one of four factions and have one of six roles. Each player can only choose one faction and one role.

Factions: Academy / Holy Church / Mage Tower / Adventurer’s Guild

Roles: Exploration, Search, Survival, Protection, Collection, Recovery

Once created, explorers cannot change their faction or role.

Explorers gather information and items from dungeons.

Safely returning and submitting gathered information and items rewards players with money.

At the end of the promotional event, the team with the most money wins a prize.

“They’ve already assigned the factions. I think Rui decided for your team.”

“Ah, you an that drawing lots thing from a while ago?”

“Yep.”

Leon nodded.

A few days ago, team leaders had drawn lots. In our team, Rui took the lead.

Technically, they first asked to do it since I’m Leviathan’s Tier 1 mber. But I politely declined because I don’t enjoy luck-based gas.

As a result, Rui handled the draw, and our entire Leviathan team ended up in the Holy Church faction.

“So, it seems the only thing you need to worry about now is your role. As you can see, the roles are Exploration, Search, Survival, Protection, Collection, and Recovery…”

“Recovery it is.”

“Huh? Why?”

Leon looked shocked at my imdiate answer.

“Recovery is the healer role, you know? Don’t you usually like breaking things and smashing stuff?”

“What kind of image do you have of ?”

“…Well, it’s true.”

How harsh.

Despite living together for three years, Leon seed to have a completely wrong impression of . I’m a peaceful person, through and through.

I’m simply practical.

From experience, I’ve learned that overwhelming force is the most effective way to ensure peace. It’s not that I like violence.

“…You’re lying. Anyway, playing a healer seems completely out of character for you. Are you sure you’re okay with it?”

“This is a team ga, isn’t it?”

As I’ve said before, I don’t have a particular desire to carry the team. Especially since this isn’t a ranked match or a league competition.

“Everyone seems to be in a casual mood, so I’ll let others do the hard work while I stay in the back and step in only if absolutely necessary.”

“You’re even slacking in gas now… If you lose your assertiveness there too, what’s left of you?”

“My noble lineage as a duchess, radiant beauty, unmatched dignity, a physique as strong as it is stunning… Need I go on? Do you want to hear more?”

“Ugh… You’re so annoying it’s almost impressive.”

Leon sighed deeply.

Why is the ga called “Dungeon 씨부랄” though lol?

ㄴ (Author’s note) Dungeon Seeker, 씨부랄 = phonetic humor.

ㄴ The tone is weird though.

What even is this ga?

Is this like Lethal Company but with classes?

The dungeon felt like a blend of advanced magic and technology, indistinguishable from a sci-fi setting.

It reminded of gas like Isolation, Dead Space, or even C-Protocol.

The facility was tallic, dimly lit, and in severe disrepair. Rust and decay were everywhere, and the faint stench of stagnant water filled the air.

In this dilapidated environnt, I found sothing familiar: a corpse.

“Oh my, ro. You’re here.”

Judging by the condition, she’d been beaten to death. Poor ro.

After silently closing her eyes, I drew my knife and severed her head.

–Crunch–

Holding ro’s severed head, I tucked it carefully under my arm.

【Why are you cutting off heads again? Lol.】

【Acrophobia donated 1,000 won.】

【ro should sue at this point.】

“Ah, about ro? Honestly, it didn’t have to be the head.”

In true RE:sir Company style, death in this ga was treated lightly.

You could revive dead players by taking any part of their body to the church.

Heads weren’t mandatory—hands or feet would’ve been lighter and more convenient.

“Habit, I suppose.”

【nto donated 1,000 won.】

【Habit???】

With ro’s head in tow, I ventured deeper into the dungeon.

【Leviathan Inquisition Division “Black Ravens” Team Roster】

【Search】 Rui: Unknown

【Exploration】 Sora: Offline

【Survival】 ro: Confird Dead

【Protection】 Rian: Unknown

【Collection】 Girin: Unknown

【Recovery】 Aurora: Online

“Hello, this is Aurora. Can anyone hear ?”

I tried speaking into the radio, but there was no response. Everyone else was either dead or too occupied to reply.

With ro resurrected by my Resurrection skill, I set my sights on saving the rest of the team. However, the sound of thunderous footsteps interrupted us.

A grotesque monster appeared—three ters tall, with elongated limbs and black, sinewy flesh. I recognized it imdiately: the Innocent Maiden.

“This is where support players shine,” I whispered, hurling ro into the beast’s path to draw its attention.

“Wait—WHAT?! You revived for THIS?!”

I smirked. Truly, this was Support Carry at its finest.

ro scread in terror as the grotesque monster turned its attention to her.

"Co on, ro, you can do it!" I called out, offering my encouragent from the shadows as I slipped further into the dungeon.

"Hey, stop! Don’t just leave like this!"

But it was too late. I had already darted past the monstrous figure, leaving ro to fend for herself—her screams echoing faintly in the background.

Moving deeper into the dungeon, I focused on my surroundings. Blood trails and scratches along the walls suggested that the rest of the team couldn’t be far.

Finally, I found another body—a familiar one.

“Rian…”

Rian lay slumped against the wall, her weapon shattered, and her body bruised and battered. She hadn’t stood a chance against whatever monstrosities lurked here.

Wasting no ti, I placed my hand on her forehead.

"."

A glow enveloped her body as the spell took effect. Slowly, Rian stirred and opened her eyes.

“...Ugh, what happened? Where am I?”

“You were dead. Now you’re not. Welco back.”

“What? Dead?!”

“Yes, dead. Don’t make explain the obvious. We’ve got work to do.”

I helped her to her feet, handing her a spare weapon I’d brought along.

“Listen, there’s a massive creature stalking the corridors. ro’s keeping it busy for now, but we need to rescue the others before it gets back.”

“ro’s… keeping it busy? You an you left her as bait?”

“Exactly. Co on, let’s move.”

Rian groaned but followed as we pressed onward.

Before long, we stumbled across Girin, pinned under rubble. She was alive but barely conscious. Rian and I worked together to free her, but the noise attracted unwanted attention.

The floor trembled, and we heard the telltale thud, thud of heavy footsteps.

“It’s coming back,” I said calmly.

“What now? We’re trapped here!” Rian hissed.

“Don’t panic. I have a plan.”

“Your last plan was throwing ro at it!”

“Exactly, and it worked perfectly. Now let’s—”

Before I could finish, the massive creature rounded the corner, its glowing white eyes locking onto us.

“Run!”

I grabbed Girin, who was too weak to stand, and hoisted her onto my back. Rian covered our retreat, using her shield to block the creature’s sweeping attacks as we dashed down the corridor.

Sohow, we managed to regroup at the safe zone near the dungeon’s entrance. ro was already there, panting and covered in dirt, but miraculously alive.

“You… You left to die!” she wheezed.

“And yet, here you are,” I replied with a smile.

“I hate you so much right now.”

“Noted. Now let’s focus on surviving this dungeon, shall we?”

With most of the team accounted for, we devised a plan to take on the dungeon’s remaining challenges.

"This is the true essence of support carry," I declared confidently as we ventured further into the depths, ready to face whatever horrors awaited us next.

It was going to be a long night.
