The cold chanical voice ca from above, devoid of emotion.

"The system can only initiate ten percent of the pain feedback to ensure the smooth progression of labor."

"Once started, it cannot be shut down midway."

The overhead light emitted a faint blue glow, flickering in her blurred vision.

She suddenly let out a bitter laugh, her eyes hollow.

Which heroine in a Beast World story would die on the delivery bed during her first birth?

She’s the protagonist!

Destiny shouldn’t be like this!

Where’s her Golden Finger?

Isn’t she supposed to have the power to defy fate?

Oh, that’s right, she indeed had it.

But that life-saving skill which could reverse life and death.

She had gambled and used it last month to save Caleb Shaw.

A tear finally slid slowly from the corner of her eye, along the cheek, into her temple.

The tear was scalding, yet it reflected no light of hope.

Far away, a few tens of millions of light-years away, Caleb Shaw suddenly frowned, and a sharp pain pierced his chest.

His face darkened, a flash of suspicion in his eyes.

Zane stood silently beside him, always silent.

He keenly sensed Caleb Shaw’s anomaly, his gaze slightly shifting, yet he said nothing more.

In front of them, the leader of The Insectoids was leading several High Rank Commanders in a standoff with the human negotiation representatives.

Caleb Shaw stood upright, his expression grim.

Even the usually defiant Insectoid Commander involuntarily took a half-step back when eting his gaze.

The negotiation had clearly been progressing smoothly just monts ago, with both sides reaching an initial consensus on resource allocation.

But in an instant, Caleb Shaw’s attitude abruptly changed.

The Insectoid Commander tentatively spoke.

"Since you have no sincerity to continue the discussions, we Insectoids will not make bottomless concessions."

His compound eyes glowed with an eerie green light.

"These years, you humans have occupied the best planets, and plundered the most resources."

"Now, it’s ti for us Insectoids to take our share."

The air seed to solidify.

The atmosphere instantly dropped to freezing point, and the guards on both sides tensed their bodies.

With just one command, war could break out at any mont.

This ti, The Insectoids ca prepared.

The negotiation site they chose was a dium-sized planet with dense vegetation.

Although not a core strategic location in the Universe.

But with rich subterranean mineral deposits and stable ecological resources, it’s always been a "potential star" contested by all parties.

Yet in just a single day, the entire planet was swept over by The Insectoid army.

The originally lush forest was devoured completely, exposing the scorched and blackened ravines of the earth.

Now, looking around, not even a single intact green leaf could be seen.

The indigenous inhabitants were mostly the Beastman Populace living at the bottom.

They lived generations relying on farming and mining, strong and powerful but unard.

Facing the sudden insect tide, they had no power to resist, could only flee in panic, or beco captives.

Especially the Monkey Clan who had lived in this area for a long ti, finally waiting for the bananas to ripen.

The golden and plump fruits hung full on the branches.

The monkey group celebrated joyfully, old and young gathered, preparing to hold the annual harvest festival.

However, before the bonfire was lit, and the festival began, The Insectoids swept in like locus, overwhelming and sky-darkening.

The dark swarm covered the sky, producing a sharp, buzzing sound.

They rcilessly plundered the orchard, taking away all the ripe bananas.

Even the seedlings near the tree roots were not spared.

When Caleb Shaw led the Federation Army to rush there, the scene before them was appalling.

The Federation soldiers seeing this scene, instantly burned with rage, their eyes red.

Sorrow and indignation transford into battle will, their combat power soared instantly.

Disregarding tactical formations, they charged directly into the enemy’s ranks, guns and cannons roaring.

The Insectoid vanguard was caught off guard, beaten back by the furious counterattack and quickly seeing their defense collapse.

Yet the enemy’s reinforcents flowed in endlessly, like tidal waves.

A batch of insect soldiers sward out from the underground fissures.

Caleb Shaw stood at a height, observing the battlefield calmly, his brows tightly furrowed.

He understood that if caught in a protracted battle, with supply difficulties, his side would eventually be dragged down.

He didn’t want prolonged warfare, nor was he willing to let his subordinates sacrifice unnecessarily.

Thus, he decisively ordered a halt to the attack and raised The Federation’s flag.

Following old traditions, start with talks; should the opponent stubbornly resist, then eliminate them entirely.

The Monkey Clan’s leader stood amidst the ruins, his body trembling, fur disheveled, baring his teeth.

He glared at Caleb Shaw, his voice hoarse.

"Negotiate peace? Fight, if it cos to it, who’s afraid of whom! If you Federation had co a bit earlier, we wouldn’t have fallen to this stage!"

"We’ve lived on this land for hundreds of years, generations farming, guarding our ho. Finally, the days got better, enough food to eat, enough trees for housing, yet you Insectoids ca... killed all our little monkeys, left none."

He raised his head, tears mixed with bloodshots in his eyes.

"What’s the point for us old folks to live? Our ho is gone, children are gone, even the place to die is desecrated. Living ans watching our loved ones leave one by one, watching our people go extinct generation by generation."

"Even if it’s a life for a life, I’ll fight to the end with you!"

He suddenly raised the Bone Spear in his hand.

The surrounding Beastn stood silently, each wishing to rush forth and fight desperately.

Even if it ant tearing the enemy apart barehanded.

Yet, those remaining are all old, weak, sick, and disabled; the strong had already sacrificed in the previous wave of battles.

The females and young ones were initially hidden deep within tree holes, only to be set ablaze by The Insectoids using Fla Spray.

The flas devoured the entrance, echoing the final cries.

The children were gone, the young ones nearly all dead.

The entire populace was on the brink of extinction, leaving only dozens of scarred survivors.

At this point, what’s the use of talking peace?

The Insectoid Commander stood atop scorched earth, his compound eyes coldly scanning around.

He had anticipated this situation long ago, that’s why he deliberately chose this remote planet as the battleground.

Here, far from The Federation’s core Star Sector, communication delays, supply is difficult.

Headquarters certainly wouldn’t go to great lengths to send the main fleet for a raid.

In his view, The Federation would at most send a patrol troop to deal with it.

He could completely take the opportunity to establish a foothold and slowly encroach.

But he never imagined Caleb Shaw would personally co.

That Federation general, praised as the "Star-River Blade," currently stands on this wasteland.

Wasn’t he on vacation?

According to intelligence, Caleb Shaw had just completed border patrol, supposed to be in a rest state.

Why did he suddenly appear here?

Caleb Shaw stood in the wind, his fingertips lightly caressing the engravings along the edge of his Battle Armor.

His gaze indifferent, but the agitation in his eyes could no longer be hidden.

This planet had just been discovered to harbor abundant mineral resources last month.

Especially the rare "Star Core Crystal," which could greatly enhance The Federation’s battleship energy core efficiency.

He had just received this news, how could he just watch The Insectoids seize these resources?

This Star Sector is The Federation’s future strategic fulcrum, how could it be stained by outsiders?

"A defeated general, still has the nerve to propose terms?"

Caleb Shaw finally spoke.

His gaze fell on the Insectoid Commander, carrying an undisguised mockery.

Their hostility with The Insectoids was not rely due to territorial disputes.
