I’m doing this for your own good!

If it really falls into the water, aren’t you the one who’s going to pick it up?

Crying is fine, but walking away with a huff?

Seeing that Alza really wasn’t paying her any attention, Selene reluctantly held onto those few scorching tears and slowly made her way to the shore.

The wetness on her fingertips remained, and her heart felt equally heavy.

Both her hands were occupied, leaving her no choice but to gently bump Heath’s door with her head.

When the door opened, the person’s eyes were red, clearly having just cried.

The corners of his eyes were bloodshot, his expression sowhat dazed.

Selene was left holding the pearl, unsure whether to walk in or retreat, as he seed quite busy at the mont.

The desk was scattered with paper and pen, ink still fresh; unclear if he could spare so ti to help her.

"Female Master?"

Heath spoke in a muffled tone, nasal, as he stepped aside, softly saying, "Co in."

Selene braced herself and walked in.

Imdiately, Alza scuttled to her feet, rubbing his furry head against her leg incessantly, circling her calf with his tail happily wagging.

"Haha, it tickles!"

She bent down to evade, unable to free her hands to push him away, laughing as she dodged.

"You guys are getting along well, huh? Judging by how you look, seems like you’re eating quite well."

Alza stretched lazily, fur sleek and glossy, squinting as he yawned.

His deanor displayed a picture of contentnt, even his gaze was lazily satisfied.

Selene finally felt relieved, a weight on her mind finally lifted.

Heath, having grown up by her side, was thoughtful and considerate.

Unlike Caleb, who always wore a stern face, cold, as if everyone owed him a thousand Star Coins.

If it weren’t for his solid skills, able to stand out in clan competitions, he wouldn’t have landed the role of main husband.

His deanor clearly was not that of a congenial person.

He was rarely seen to smile, let alone actively connect with others.

If everyone in the household were like this, life would be so suffocating.

Selene chuckled to herself.

When marrying soone, the most important qualities are being virtuous, considerate, and family-oriented.

No matter how good they look, what’s the use?

At best, they serve as decoration.

In terms of taking in servants, appearances truly matter.

With soone like Caleb’s looks, even if she were insistent on monogamy, she might still arrange for him to live in a separate house, lest his good looks go to waste.

But as this thought erged, the mischievous grin at the corner of her mouth was probably too apparent.

Though Heath remained outwardly calm, he instinctively moved little Alza behind him, shielding him.

He looked up at Selene, his voice calm as usual, devoid of any ripple.

"Female Master, is there anything you need?"

Selene didn’t notice his small gesture, only taking out a perfectly round and plump pearl from her sleeve, placing it lightly on the table.

The pearl emitted a gentle glow under the light.

She casually picked up the engraved silver pen from Heath’s desk, swiftly sketched a few strokes on a blank sheet of paper.

Drawing a simple yet elegant necklace design.

"I rember your jewelry skills are quite refined. Could you make this into a necklace for ? I want to gift it to soone."

She spoke, pushing the sketch towards Heath.

Initially, Heath’s expression was indifferent, his gaze casually sweeping over.

But when he finally saw the sketch clearly, his pupils constricted, his entire body frozen in place.

Slowly, he moved closer to the table, practically burying his face in the paper, staring intently at the lines.

Monts later, he hesitantly spoke, voice low.

"Female Master, did you draw this yourself?"

Selene was caught off guard, instinctively scratching her head.

This sketch wasn’t her own design.

Rather, she had seen this style at a high-end jewelry exhibition in her past life.

It hadn’t appeared yet in this ti; borrowing it wouldn’t be considered plagiarism, right?

Thus, she nodded, ambiguously.

"Yes, I drew it. What’s wrong? Is there a problem? Is it hard to make?"

Since the accident years ago hurt his fingers, Heath never showed such intense emotion in public.

Yet now, he couldn’t bother to conceal it, staring fixedly at the sketch, eyes wide with astonishnt.

"It’s not difficult."

He slowly shook his head, his tone surprisingly excited.

"Not difficult... but the design is brilliant. Such a simple style, clean and crisp lines, yet the turns conceal clever thoughts, carrying an indescribable elegance. No need for a plethora of gems, the structure itself instantly feels comfortable and luxurious."

As he spoke, he grew more excited, unintentionally raising his voice a bit.

"In the past when making jewelry, we always thought of adorning the connections, either setting small diamonds or embedding colored stones, thinking that lacking brightness equalled lacking beauty. Yet your design completely breaks free from this mold. This concept... we never considered before!"

He looked up at Selene, eyes burning.

"This shape is truly remarkable. I never realized, that you possess such talent in this area. You’re naturally cut out for this field!"

Selene felt a shiver down her spine from the stream of complints.

She quickly waved it off, face awkwardly smiling.

"Stop, stop, you’re making embarrassed. It’s really not that good, just drew it casually, take a look for what it is."

She ntally sighed.

If he kept praising like this, she might end up being exposed!

If Heath truly believed she had a master-level of design skill, later asking her to co up with a new style.

She would genuinely be clueless.

As she considered changing the subject, her gaze glanced over, noticing Heath’s right hand hanging by his side trembled slightly.

That finger was severely injured, not fully healed to date, and ached during rainy days.

Her heart softened, she spoke abruptly.

"Heath, does your hand... still hurt?"

Before her words were finished, Heath shuddered, quickly drawing back his hand.

He bowed his head in silence for a mont, breathing slightly labored.

Monts later, he slowly placed his hand back where it was, fingertips still slightly curling, unwilling to spread open completely.

He glanced at Selene, eyes dimd, yet forced a slight smile.

"No issue, I’m used to it, it doesn’t hurt."

"Are you in a rush to use it, Female Master?"

Heath tilted his head slightly, brows creased, cautiously keeping his gaze on Selene’s face.

His fingers unconsciously rubbed the edge of the tool table.

Selene nodded first, then shook her head, quickly nodding again.

Her actions were sowhat flustered, as if undecided.

"If it can be done quickly, that would be best."

She paused, adding: "I know this might be too much to ask, but it’s truly important."

Lady Lynn just sent a ssage, saying that the Empress showed interest in her little invention and would summon her soon.

The phone screen was still lit, the ssage lay alone in the dialogue box, like a death warrant.

Selene glanced down, her heartbeat involuntarily speeding up.

Lady Lynn was one of the few gentle Female Masters in the palace.
