No matter how fast my attacks moved, it seed able to adapt and counter everything I threw at it. Unlike us, who would eventually collapse from exhaustion, this monster was a ball of energy and had yet to show even a hint of being tired.
As promised, two minutes later, the speed of my pillars drastically dropped off to such a point that the NightWalker was able to outpace them with its destruction, and just like that, it was free again.
"COO COO GAOOO!" Releasing a bone-chilling chuckle, the monster’s head snapped in my direction, and it vanished for a split second before reappearing and kicking center mass with such force that I felt as if my guts were coming out of my throat.
However, instead of launching , it bounced off the ground and caught before slamming head-first into the mountain, cracking my helt with a single collision of rock and tal and allowing to see the outside world.
"NEXUS!" Screaming in a heartwrenching tone, Piniki tried to rush forward but, in doing so, beca the NightWalker’s next target.
Swinging its arm in a full arc, I was turned into a projectile as it threw directly at the girl with such speed that I felt my entire body vibrate due to breaking the sound barrier, leaving with only one action to take: tuck in and brace for impact.
Luckily for , at that mont, when I was airborne and hurtling toward Piniki, who would no doubt be turned into red mist if my body collided with her, I was snatched out of the air by my collar by my Father, who landed on the ground beside the girl in pink and imdiately barked at her to heal , then dashed off to join Brenden and Sonas in pinning the NightWalker down again.
Laying with my head in the girl’s lap, I chuckled ruefully while struggling to reach for the button on my collar that would retract my helt, sothing I was eventually able to accomplish.
"Stay still, Nexus, you’re badly injured. I’m trying to heal you, but this damage…is beyond . Hundreds of bone fractures, several compound breaks, and your organs are a ss." Looking up into her face, I could feel the faint plopping of her tears on my cheeks, but internally, I felt nothing except annoyance, not only at her but at myself for being so weak.
In the Origin Tiline, my augntation was of such a caliber that I could fight toe-to-toe on par with NightWalkers way stronger than this one. Still, when it appeared in front of , I barely had enough ti to augnt my abdominal muscles to brace for the punch that kicked off the beating I had received.
If I hadn’t done so imdiately before the first punch, I would have a massive gaping hole in my stomach right now, as the damn thing sohow channeled its Annihilation Aura into its fist with zero charge ti, catching off guard, and in turn, cracking my armor in a single blow.
Even with my 6C body, the damage from the NightWalker’s aura was too much to defend against, putting this monster in a league of its own and signaling to that it had strength on par with a being in the Mid-Gamma-Rank range.
It was then that a thought began bouncing around my head.
’We can’t beat this thing by normal ans. But how do we do it.’ My mind reeled, searching for answers as the pink light from Piniki’s hands washed over my entire body.
I knew she wouldn’t be able to patch up good as new and could only administer sothing a step above first aid. Still, she could, at the least, nd the bone fractures.
As for the rest of my injuries, like the internal ones and bone breaks, the pink Hero could only do sothing akin to slapping a bandaid on them, but that’s fine because there were hundreds of potions in my inventory that would heal up…so long as I could move to get them out, that is.

With Piniki and my temporary exit from the fight, things beca slightly more difficult for the other mbers of the squad, even with Xilia stepping in and filling my role as a Ranged DPS.
That was when we found sothing out that surprised even …her Shadow Skills…dealt normal damage against the monster.
The first Skill she used, Dark Arrow, hit the NightWalker square in the shoulder and caused it to scream in agony.
However, there was a problem: due to the nature of Xilia’s talent, she had a 2-minute cooldown on any Skills she used, so unlike the rest of us, who could constantly spam our moves so long as we had the PC to back it up, she couldn’t, rendering her as a pinch fighter, soone who could only co in at the right mont to deliver a damaging blow with proper setup and timing.
’The damage caused by Xilia isn’t healing; that’s a good sign,’ after being administered first aid by Piniki for a solid five minutes, I finally was able to move my left arm enough that made a show of fake reaching for my belt and instead withdrew so high-grade healing potions. Before the next wave of attacks began, I was back on my feet, downing one potion after another.
I was still a little stiff, especially my arms, but it wasn’t so much a hindrance to my movents as it was a mild inconvenience.
’Hah, this is going to suck, but I need to get close and examine how deep that wound on its shoulder is; these fuckers don’t bleed and only expel a small amount of black gas from injuries, so without shoving my Eskrima into the wound, I have no clue how much damage her attack did.’ Tapping my collar button, my head was enclosed within my newly repaired helt, allowing to do the next step in my still-forming plan.
Preparing myself ntally, I closed my eyes and swapped over to my Psy-Kinesis; from there, I augnted my entire body to the maximum output, causing to emit an icy blue, glowing aura, which was thankfully hidden by my armor and helt.
’It’s adapting to our fighting style, and the longer this battle draws on, the more slim our chance of victory becos, not to ntion the fact that it’ll be on guard against anything coming from Xilia in the future, so I need to set the chess board up properly.’ Snapping my eyes open, I glared at the NightWalker and kicked off the ground.
