Tossing away option Five, I was only left with Geo-Spike, Geo-Bullet, Geo-Wall, and Geo-Skin. After so careful consideration, although a cool gimmick, I also ignored the Geo-Wall skill, leaving only Spike, Bullet, and Skin.

Each of these three could potentially be extrely useful in a fight or even daily life. I, of course, wasn’t above ruling out using skills to make my quality of life slightly better, even though I tossed out the two that I could use to build a LITERAL fortress for a ho.

The two didn’t vibe with , as the only conceivable way I could use them was to either wall myself up like a turtle or hide away; and considering if classes were a thing, I would be regarded as an assassin, neither choice was fitting.

’Geo-Spike…it basically creates small pillars or columns at its lowest level; even their points are pretty dull and only deal blunt-force damage to opponents.’ Looking at the first option, I delved into the possibilities presented.

’At higher levels, it’s pretty strong; however, training it is a bitch. To make matters worse, at the No-rank level, I’ll only be able to mold Soil or dirt at best, making it slightly harden into clods. Plus, I need ample space and a hell of a lot of rock or earth to form it, not to ntion it’s pretty destructive on the terrain, so in a sense, it’s the least stealthy of the three choices.’

Weighing the pros and cons for a few monts, I decided to table the idea of choosing Geo-Spike and ran through what I knew about Geo-Bullet.

’Geo-Bullet barely takes any ti to form, requires very few resources and both its size and shape can be molded to my will. Of the three options, it’s the most versatile choice, and eventually, I will be able to fire it faster than a rifle or even tank shell.’

’High speed, high level of versatile design, and by far can cause more damage to an opponent or even structure than I’d ever be able to manage with Geo-Spike.’

’Realistically, Geo-Bullet would increase my lethality by a significant margin, and since it doesn’t require to mold it by hand, I could very easily get away with murder thanks to leaving behind ZERO trace evidence, aka a perfect tool for assassinations.’ Leaning heavily on choosing Geo-Bullet as my new Talent Skill, I still opted to give a run-through of Geo-Skin.

’It’s purely a defensive skill, one that scales off my ta Physical Defense Stat. As both its rank and Attainnt increase, I could create a set of form-fitting armor as strong as Diamond. Mind you, that is far into the ranks, but still a possibility.’

Technically speaking, all of the Geomancy Skills could eventually be transford into harder materials due to compression and particles being added to the mix. I had even seen several High-Ranker Geomancers fling around diamonds or hard tals like it was nothing.

’Co to think of it, I could technically reach a point where I could transform any of the skills into valuable resources to earn a vast fortune before Arkadia’s descent.’ My thoughts began getting off track the longer I persisted in my analysis, and once I realized what was happening, I smacked both my cheeks loudly, abruptly turning off all the frivolous ideas and refocusing on the task at hand.

’Alright, after much thought….I choooseee…you!’ reaching up, I used my index finger to pick option 2, Geo-Bullet, triggering a flood of different notifications to appear on my System panel.

{You have chosen Geo-Bullet as your sole skill for your Second Talent: Geomancy.}

{You will never have another opportunity to change this selection.}

{Your new Talent has been unlocked; you can view your progress in your Status Display.}

{All the Restrictions ntioned previously have been applied to your New Talent.}

{As you have unlocked a Second Talent, although you are unable to add new skills to it, you have been given a Second Skillbar to house your singular skill.}

For a split second, my body felt as if it had been thrown in a blender, a sign that Arkadia was adding sothing to , and once the pain subsided, I quickly opened my Status to observe the changes.

The first thing I noticed was the new tabs indicating I now had what was categorized as a "Sub-Talent," sothing that I found pretty much par for the course, with how many different restrictions were placed on my newly acquired Geomancy.

What I wasn’t expecting, however, was that instead of getting thrown into a Technique Space, as would usually happen when learning a new skill, my vision blurred, and a huge amount of information flooded my brain as Arkadia directly implanted everything about my new skill into my head.

The process wasn’t quick by any ans and inevitably took several hours to complete, but once my vision cleared up and I "ca back to" I felt as if I had been born with my new skill and had been using it for so long that I knew it inside and out.

I knew how it worked, how it would grow in power with each rank, and hell, I could even tell precisely how much of a certain material I needed to form the bullets I would fling.

Unfortunately, knowing how sothing worked and actually following through with execution were two entirely different things, no different from reading a book about the inner workings of rocket engines versus actually being a Rocket chanic.

Still, in my hands, I didn’t doubt that I’d be able to, at the very least, form a fingernail-sized bullet without much effort, even if it were only the most basic of forms, a musket ball.
